During my 8 night stay at this hotel, I was met with a mix of positive and negative experiences. On the positive side, the hotel itself is undeniably beautiful, boasting stunning pools and picturesque views. Additionally, its close proximity to the beach was a definite highlight. However, the negatives overshadowed these positives. The customer service at the front desk was simply terrible. The staff seemed disinterested and unhelpful, leaving a lasting impression of rudeness. Furthermore, I was disappointed to find that the waiters became visibly upset when I requested a glass of water instead of purchasing drinks. To add to the frustrations, the in-room phones were completely non-functional, making it impossible to contact the front desk for assistance or inquiries. This was highly inconvenient and added unnecessary complications to our stay. Moreover, the overall attitude of the staff was rude and unwelcoming. Their lack of professionalism and hospitality greatly diminished the experience and left me feeling unwelcome as a guest. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel based on my personal encounter and am genuinely confused as to how this is considered a 5 star hotel.

Great hotel with an amazing sea view. If you are traveling and planning to work on your trip this hotel is a save choice. They have a stable internet connection and many places where you can seat and focus on your work. There is a great restaurant included in the price if you are taking the full board offer, however during my stay the meat was always overcooked or undercooked, so I hope this could be improved in the future. Keep in mind that all drinks (even water) are not included in the initial price and it can get very loud due to the conferences. Overall my stay was amazing and the hotel staff was always friendly and helpful

The location is superb and everything looked and felt new and high quality. The room was very spacious, the breakfast buffet had a lot of variety and the different pools along with plenty of loungers were all so lovely. We were upgraded to pool views which was great aside from the live music that ended at midnight and was kind of loud. Easy access to the beach! Walking by all of the other hotels, this one by far looked the newest. Every other place looked like it was stuck in the 80s

Premise. We have booked in the Atzavara Hotel and SPA because of newly built. Our pack offered free cancellation up to two days before arrival. It turns out that less than 24 hours before arrival we were notified by phone that the SPA was not yet finished and therefore was not available. The same for a more exclusive restaurant and some other minor services. We were offered an upgrade from the half-board pack to the full-board pack, with the possibility of using the SPA and the gym of another structure next door and outside the same hotel. It has been a bit annoying and to the limit of misleading that such communication was made by phone (without any email) and after the minimum term that consents to cancel the reservation free of charge. - - - - - - - - - - Architecture and interior design. Remarkable. The structure in its complex stands out for its sober contemporaneity. The interior courtyard where the pools are located has a very pleasant and articulated plan, which breaks the monotony. The interior design, from the common spaces to those of the rooms, is very careful. Large wooden sculptures flourishing inside the hall, large corridors in the room areas, careful study of the textures in the rooms that create a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. - - - - - - - - - - Service. On the one hand, the kindness of the dependents stands out. On the other hand, it seems that the organization lacks organization, allowing the assumption of a lack on the part of the responsible management. We have observed it in the following points: - we have ordered an iron and it was never delivered, with the motivation of “there are too many clients and we have not enough of them to cover all the requests”. - we asked for the TV remote control, missing in the room (TV which was not configured yet) and we have spent 4 phone calls and more than 30 minutes to receive it. - lack of clarity in how they manage the request for extras not included in the meals. Sometimes they left you the receipts, other times they didn't. Clearly, it highlighted a lack of management. - at the time of check out we have asked until when we could have left the car in the parking and, mistakenly, a guy at the reception told us that we had to take it out immediately at the check out time limit, that is to say at 12. Checking with another colleague, it was confirmed to us that we could leave it until 7:00 p.m. (considering that we were paying the parking for the entire day). - - - - - - - - - - Self service restaurant. Even though the space is very nice, the organization of the different areas where you can serve yourself is still poorly organized. The areas where the cooked food is served looks like an office canteen. The lack of indications about the food and its ingredients stands out: sometimes it was impossible to know what type the meat was or what any other dish. Not even imagine when it comes to oils and sauces… The food offer, always really extra good quality, is quite banal, not very different from that of an office canteen or a three-stars hotel. - - - - - - - - - - Conclusions. The structural part is well established and once it is finished it should meet (with a vote of confidence) what we expect in a hotel of this level. The score for this part would be 4 out of 5. The service and management part is still not very mature though the employees are hard workers, there are a lot of opportunities for huge improvements. The score for this part is 3 out of 5. My score would be about 3.7 out of 5. Due to the poor management in informing us that the SPA and other services would not have been available when it was already late to cancel the reservation for free, it seems appropriate to give a total punctuation of 3 out of 5. I will monitor the progress through these reviews since, honestly, my partner and the friends I was with are still considering to come back to enjoy the experience as it should have been.

Beautiful hotel with spectacular pools and interior design. Several good restaurants on the property as well as a beautiful spa. Although the location is convenient to get to by both car and train, it is separated from the beach by train tracks so it’s certainly more comfortable to stay on the resort and go to the pool than do the short walk to the beach —personal opinion. Also the breakfast is amazing and not to be missed.

The pool penthouse suite is very comfortable!! Amazing view, nice terrace with a private pool. It’s not soundproofed properly. You can hear the guest in the next room and hallway. The spa in not finished and they are not mentioning this on the website or any other portals. The common pool area is very nice, different swimming pools, lifeguards for each one, 2 just for kids. They don’t serve any food around the pool. The facilities are to improve. The staff it’s not at the level of a “ 5 star hotel” Thanks to Idris though, very professional and kind In general the hotel still have A LOT TO IMPROVE.

Our room was the pool penthouse and it was excellent. We loved the privacy and the breathtaking views in both directions. We could sit in our pool and watch boats go by or From our balcony watch low clouds roll over the mountain forests. The breakfast is great. The dinner was ok/good (even though there was plenty of variety it didn’t feel like it was in the right places. I must mention that the fruit, vegetables and salads on offer were always very tasty with a lot of variety. This really helped to curb over indulging on meat and carbs at the buffets. Finally I must mention one of the most important components to our stay. The staff. They were all helpful, patient and a ray of sunshine! Nothing was ever too much of a problem. This is really top down. Right from the staff at the front desk (shout out to Claudia and Nicky), to the cleaners (who always did a great job), to the staff at the bars or the waiters and chefs at the buffet. Every single member of staff made us feel special and important. Personally I would come back, but because I like privacy I would only do so in the pool penthouse, the royal penthouse or the pool villa. For most other people the normal rooms and 5(?) main pools in the hotel should do the trick.

Definitely not worth it. All is beautiful and brand new, staff is doing their best, but organization is a big mess, it takes hours to check in because only one person at the reception, submerged by people queuing. Premium double room booked to have a sea view. They gave us a room with twin beds, mentioning we didn’t mention our preference - well they didn’t ask either 🙃. We ask for a double bed and it was not possible. We are forced to leave or pay more to get a junior suite… we did so. Swimming pools sun beds overcrowded with people leaving their towels like in the good old times… you cannot find any spot if you ‘r not here early in the morning, OR You go to the bamboo bar on the roof top and can enjoy a sun bed and pool + free water (wow, free water, how cool!!) for 25€ / person / day. So you book a 5* and need to pay extras to enjoy the sun ☀️… great experience. Half board only available at the restaurant El Mercat ( or you pay extras again for other restaurants. Fair enough, but they didn’t mention it on the website, they say half board, and they say they have plenty of restaurants… El Mercat is a big buffet overcrowded, where you need to queue to get in, the quality of food is mediocre. Overall… beautiful place in pictures but poor experience, far from the relaxing vacations you can dream of. The seasonal staff try their best though.

I've stayed here twice and both times the room was super noisy. Poor sound insulation so you can hear the loud music from outside and your neighbors. One time there was a private corporate event in the pool area and the guests were screaming in the hallways through the whole night until 4-5am. The only saving grace is the pool facilities. It's a newer hotel so everything is still modern and nice.

Like many others, I read the reviews before making my decision, but I regretted it in the end. The hotel's appearance was deceiving, as it didn't live up to its looks. Everywhere you turn in the hotel, there are additional expenses waiting for you. Out of the three restaurants, only Ginger had a very limited menu. Bamboo had nice views and drinks, but also a limited menu. The other restaurant only offered a buffet. Hotel aesthetics: 5/5 Staff: 1/5 Food: 1/5 Cleanliness: 3/5 Other activities: 0/5 If you're looking for a place to sleep and explore other parts of town, then go ahead, as the beds are comfortable. On our first day, we arrived early but were informed that early check-ins were not allowed, despite their false advertisement. They encouraged us to spend money in the resort, so we did, but the lunch at Ginger was disappointing and cost us 60 euros alone. The lady at the reception was rude and dismissive, refusing to answer my questions. Unfortunately, this behavior continued throughout our entire stay. Later, we pleaded with them to check us in as we had traveled all night and needed rest. Finally, we were given a room that had a terrible smell. The room was not cleaned at regular intervals, and we often had to remind the cleaners to come and do their job. The staff were consistently rude, with 98% of them unable to understand English and displaying racist behavior. They would sometimes ignore us and refuse to serve us. In the buffet area, they repeatedly seated us next to other people of color, despite our requests to sit elsewhere. Most of the staff were unhelpful. We had no towels for two days, the phone didn't work, the air conditioning was malfunctioning, and the bins weren't emptied. On our last day, despite requesting a late check-out days in advance and even offering to pay extra, we were denied. When we asked two different staff members for directions to where our transfers would pick us up, we were given incorrect information. As a result, we missed our transfers to Girona and had to wait in the scorching sun for half an hour. The same staff member who misled us then tried to act like nothing had happened and suggested we take a taxi for 100 euros, claiming to know the driver and doing us a favor. We eventually had to seek assistance from another staff member and the manager, but we still had to pay 65 euros. The food was terrible, with the same options served every day. The drinks were overpriced, which is surprising considering we live in London. The food itself was also overpriced, as was the spa. The bathrooms had a foul odor, possibly due to plumbing issues. Even basic necessities like water came with an additional charge. The only positive aspects were the pool and the rooms. Apart from that, the hotel is just an attractive building lacking substance. Unfortunately, we won't be returning, and we had hoped to host our events here if it had been a pleasant experience. We will be sharing our negative experience with others.

TopTopTop! Super Recommended! This hotel is just a paradise!super clean, really, everywhere it is very clean!! All staff was chosen professionally, everybody is beautiful, polite and knows about hospitality! Smiling, kind and very friendly. In this hotel you really get 5 star service. Food was awesome! I would just recommend to improve desserts for lunch and dinner. Otherwise, it is fantastic in all senses. Very tasty, clean, and relaxing. Intention is new. Very stylish. Pool areas were lovely. Kids club we also liked. Location was great. We would really come back here. FANTASTIC VACATION! Thanks a lot to every person on this hotel who made this! Big applause to the management team and training!😍

What a great hotel with fabulous service. Premium room was spacious with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was great with loads of choice, and buffet dinner equally varied and varied through the week as well. Pool could have done with being a couple of degrees warmer but a minor issue. There were several pools and biggest was reserved for adults which was a thoughtful. Ordered a breakfast box for the last morning as we were leaving early but it wasn't there which was a shame as that was the last thing at the hotel.

I love and appreciate this hotels staff who give me the best service I have experience in Spain. I will fully recommend all the travelers who came to this area to stay in this hotel, and to experience the hospitality and the best service that they provided. Staff Names: NICKY, RUT, CLAUDIA, the best service they give to us!

Super nice hotel that is neatly cared for. Good service and friendly staff. Every day there are plenty of activities to do by the pool. And the staff of the activities creates a cozy atmosphere. All in all a very neat and beautiful hotel.

We stayed in the hotel for 7 days, so the rooms were always clean and the cleaning ladies made a real effort. (It was always cleaned well) 10/10 for that. The hotel complex is very family-friendly and offers many options for families with children. (E.g. pool shows for children etc.) 2 minutes away from the beach of Santa Susanne, which can also be used as a bathing beach. Since the hotel itself has 4 pools, you can also relax very well in the hotel complex. The staff was very friendly and always helpful. The only disadvantage: we ate in the El Mercat restaurant, on the third day we had broccoli casserole, which apparently was no longer viable and I vomited for 7 hours. I would give the restaurant a bad rating because the food was never fresh either. 0 points for the restaurant.

Clean, modern hotel. Food options are fantastic, options for dietary requirements are great! (but perhaps better labelling would help). Entertainment team were enthusiastic and really got the guests involved.

Rooms and hotel are fantastic and well thought out. Bed is comfortable and spacious rooms and modern finish. Hotel is well managed with a clean quirky interior. Service is good and the staff work really hard on a daily basis. Maybe a lack of staff at breakfast/dinner time. Pools are super clean and again beautifully maintained with plenty of sunbeds. The rooftop pool is great and a good place to chill. Location is super - close to the beach, local restaurants and supermarkets. The station is within 5 mins walk which takes you to Barcelona easily within an hour. Only feedback would be to have a way to keep food hot as the food was generally cold. Something the hotel needs to do and I can see has also been raised by previous guests.

Very good hotel, though it's only 5 stars when the pool penthouse is booked. Then you get some extras that are not coming with the normal rooms. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the food is very good! Every day a different buffet and the kids are not forgotten in what they offer! The views from the penthouse is amazing on both sides. One side is an sea view, the other is a mountain view, and both are stunningly beautiful.

Maybe because of the vacation season, the experience of this time in early August can not be compared to my last two visits in April and Jun. The breakfast was super crowded, better in dinner but still crowded. We have 5 people but the staff in buffet Restaurant seems like enjoying of guiding us to table with 4 seats! Why! There are still pretty free tables! You are not 3 Stars, it is 5 star hotel right? The sun beds outside need to be regularly clean up, already a little colorful. It maybe due to the volume of visitors however should be able to be better. Also Aqua group has no customer loyalty orientation at all, we visited here 3times in half a year but seems like nothing was recorded down ...... Or they never lack of customers? The equipments and furnitures are still quite new, hope this can still be well maintained. In one word, to the first time visitors this hotel will be great, can really enjoy it. However people maybe have to decide carefully how often to come here.

Beautiful place! Wasn’t expecting to enjoy so much and feel great. Staff is friendly. Only reason I did not give a 5*, is because of the pool service, very wide and amazing area, but the waiters are not looking all around the place.

We had a fantastic time during our stay, it’s nice staying in a beautiful hotel with absolutely fantastic staff (A massive thank you to Gregory an exceptional staff member, who went above and beyond, he clearly understands what ‘hospitality’ means! 5/5 !) And for a large hotel you really did convey a sense of a very personal service. I couldn’t recommend highly enough. Thanks for an exceptional stay x

Very beautiful hotel and nice service. Love the aqua gym exercise. The swimming pools (7 of them) are impressive.

Rooms were spacious, and well decorated. The toilette could have had a proper door/wall though....its see-through glass with kind of an almost swing door. Breakfast was a lot to choose from - cheeses were a bit dull and the scrambled eggs had a weird texture. The whole Hotel (Pool areas, roof top bar and so on) was in a very well maintained shape. In the evening there was a great Live Band from South africa!

Staff is wonderful. Buffet was amazing. Room is very spacious. 5 stars on those. Room air is horrible. The room stinks. The air is bad and the temp control does not work (as also confirmed by the majority of our group). I didn’t sleep well at all because I would wake up sweating! 0 stars!

The Hotel is just wonderful. We spend a really nice week here. The location is great and the architecture is beautiful. But more than that... Atzavara has the best hotel personal that i've ever seen in an hotel. The waitresses in the restaurant are so friendly and do everything to make you enjoy your stay and make sure you feel comfortable. We traveled with a lady with reduced mobility and the staff always helped her and us to get along We'll surely come back again.

Spent 11 nights in the Penthouse pool suite. 😁Room was excellent standard, very clean with great views from the private pool side. Modern large hotel with all the facilities, only been open for a few months. Staff were really friendly and always ready to help. ☹️ We had a problem with noise in our room from the pool pump. We complained 4 times and even asked if we could swap rooms but each time told maintenance would take a look. It didn't get resolved! Plus while we were staying the hotel next door was holding a petanque (boules) tournament which looks to be a regular thing due to the permanent 50 plus boules courts set out. Each morning about 0830 they would all come out to start playing and finished about 1800. So all day long about 160 people throwing metal balls which ran off and knocked into wooden planks to stop the balls, which sounded like someone hammering nails into wood all day, plus the loudest announcement speaker I have ever heard. Food was OK but not 5 star standard, it was luke warm and plates were cold. So overall nice hotel which could be a 5 star but improvement needed. If you're thinking of booking make sure you get a room away from the boules players and not sure if the Penthouse suite with private pool is worth the extra expense.

A lovely place to stay, found all the staff very polite and helpful.. room was very clean and maids done a wonderful job everyday of maintaining that. The food was very good especially in the Botanic, although clippers and pickers would have helped with the Lobster. The pool area is amazing and relaxing, will definitely be coming back again.

Had a one week stay at the hotel in August. First the positives. The entire hotel and the rooms are tastefully furnished and decently sized. Pools are lovely. The staff especially at reception was friendly and responsive. We had a relaxing stay overall, which is what we were looking for. Now for the things that bothered us. Soundproofing is an issue, we had a lot of noise from the room next door. Cleaning could be more thorough. The carpets outside the rooms in particular need attention. Food is not 5 star standard, it can be improved. Also there should be a better way of keeping food warm at the buffet. Room service menu is quite limited. Botany restaurant also doesn’t deliver food wise hence why it wasn’t very popular with guests. Bar service at the pool is hit and miss. Don’t rely on being served, you may have to walk to the bar to get your drinks. The gym is still not finished, was surprised to see workers there the one day we decided to use it. There are no weights. There was very noisy drilling outside the Ginger cafe for several hours one day which was very annoying for the guests using the pool closer to the cafe. We would have appreciated a heads up from management about the noise so we could make alternative plans. It would also be good to have at one pool for adults only or at least adult only timings. Another minor thing, would be good if guests don’t have to log in to Google and re-enable Netflix each time, and if the sign in settings would last the duration of the stay. Overall I would say the hotel is a great choice for families with kids. For couples looking for some quiet time, this may not be ideal. Nevertheless the hotel has potential and my husband and I would be happy to return with future little ones one day.
