Amazing dinner!!! Lucky us we got a table after being on the waiting list for a week if I could recall. It was my first time here and it was great. Service was very good, they even explained the dishes in English. We came at 5pm and left at 7.30pm. The spring season has heaps of amazing ingredients. We added Rossini caviar for the fish course. All in all, it was such an experience and I would love to visit again in another season.

Lovely food that is carefully prepared to take it to another level. Personally a bit too vegetarian oriented for my liking but what they served was delicious nonetheless.

Was a good while since we were here, but I thought I'd actually write something. Easily the best up scale eating in Malmö I've experienced so far. Some of the dishes were really special, and nothing was bad. We had the wine package, which I can really recommend. It was generous, great fit to the food, and really stood out from what I've drank as far as wine before. There's a lot of servings, and for the price it's a total steal. I think this restaurant could have at least a star, if you're interested in a special dinner I'd take the opportunity to go here before they do get one.

Lovely little place serving well thought out food and presented so very well. Sat at the bar and watched the food being assembled. 9 courses including bread, no menu, just a list of sourced ingredients. Just sit back and enjoy what is placed in front of you. Dishes of note was the mushroom under a jelly of sorts and the fish with finger lime. The caviar on the meat was a nice touch but you can opt not to have it as the dish itself did not need it. All food was well balanced. Well priced for what you get.

The best dish was the scallops with blood oranges, but not quite 5 stars because a couple of dishes were just okay, and the paired wines weren't for me. Our server, however, was very good and explained the different dishes well.

The restaurant is nice. It is expensive but worth it. The staff was very nice and friendly. When it comes to food, everything was delicious. The dishes were scaling up as the night went, creating a very nice experience. We didn't go for the wine pairing, but the wine recommendation was amazing.

Tasting menus for the rest of us. Simple dishes but the quality of the cooking is very high. Friendly service and cozy environment. This is one of those places that have outstanding value for your money. We paid 600 SEK per person for about 8 servings or so. If you want to try a tasting menu but don't want to drop several thousand SEK on a place like Vollmers then this is an excellent option. We will be back!

I went to celebrate my husband’s birthday. I told the waitress about it when I came in and then my husband came and she did congratulate him. The staff seemed very rehearsed and with a time schedule. They showed no interest in trying to make a connection with their guests. The waiter that help me with picking my wine was also not very good. I tried 3 different wines before I said that I could take that one but I only said it to be nice and not seem picky. It is a set menu where you get 7 dishes. There were small dishes but they were very filling. I felt satisfied when leaving the restaurant and wasn’t hungry. The dishes came out at a decent pace which was also nice. The dishes had to much going on and weren’t what I expected. My favourite dish was the potatoes in butter. The other dishes were a bit too much. It was nice to go and try it but to be honest, I don’t think I would go back.

Incredibly good value for money! An impressive vegan menu with a non-alcoholic pairing. It definitely has something to impress with! Amazing!

We hadn’t been to lyran for many years but we’re excited to go back. However, the food was not as good as we remembered it to be. Many of the servings were very good, but three of the dishes didn’t work at all. Some of the dishes resembled each other and lacked variation. So all in all still good, but in our opinion there are now better alternatives in Malmö.

Absolutely fantastic dining experience! Great and intimate feel. Delicious food - our group had varied menu of meat, pescatarian and vegetarian and everyone was very delightful. Standout dish was the white cabbage with bergamot and scallops, and fascinating twist of pistachios for vegetarian dish. Great finish on a tart - straciatella cheese based dessert. Wine pairing was pleasing - but the pour on the glasses on the conservative side.

Best food experience. Lyran serves refined, uncomplicated and chefs kiss delicious food. As a vegan, I really appreciated the adapted menu, with true alternatives, rather than substitutes clearly lacking the meat. Amazing experience!

Visited Lyran again yesterday. Compared to the first time, the wines and service was not up to par. Also, only one dish, the fish, was top notch. An onion serving was good. The snacks were boring, and the remaining servings lacked finesse and texture.

still my favourite Restaurant in Malmö 😊

  • 5/5 Hendrik M. 1 year ago on Google
Food was fantastic, service was very friendly and prepared also in English, the wine pairings were perfect and definitely unique, only downside was that the dishes and wine came a bit to fast so that we sometimes had the feeling of being rushed. Improving here would make it a well rounded experience.

Just wow! The food was astonishing and the service was also good. The food was an experience in itself. I would totally recommend to go to this restaurant. You pay for a menu, and you don’t know what you get, but that’s the amazing part about the experience. The price is totally worth it!

We booked a table four months ago. There are two menus - vegetarian and non-vegetarian, but it is not possible to specify ahead of time via the website. They don’t publish the menu ahead of time either that we could find. The two menus were priced the same, but the vegetarian menu was not worth the money. One course was sliced kiwi, sliced Parmesan, and olive oil, and it took about 25 minutes. Several of the dishes were like that, raw chopped vegetables with a drizzle of sauce. We went on a recommendation from a friend and we regret it. I would not recommend it. Öznur & Kevin

Wonderful. Food was quite good and trying to match our dishes to the ingredient list (as opposed to a menu) as they came out made for a fun little foodie experience. Highly recommend.

The fixed menu was creative but tastewise not to my liking. Most seating is downstairs where it was very warm even though it was only 20 degrees Celsius that day

We had a lovely time with superb food and service. The balance of the dishes is extraordinary as well as the combination of the wine tasting. Why this place doesn’t have a Michelin star is beyond me, so my advice when in Malmö go to Lyran!

Low key, excellent kitchen serving up innovative dishes, using locally sourced ingredients. Offer tasting menu and should book in advance

  • 5/5 Iain M. 6 years ago on Google
Really, really amazing food. There's no menu, just a list of ingredients that the chef is going to use. Everything was absolutely delicious, served beautifully but it isn't pretentious. The restaurant is amazingly relaxed considering what's on offer. Service was friendly and professional, excellent all round. One slight downside is the price of the booze, holy moly it's expensive! It's a great choice of unusual beer, cider and wine but make sure you budget appropriately (or bring a hip flask!).

A diamond of highlight of Malmo. The dedication and passion is evident in the subtle flavours and attention to detail, in the food and the wine. Everything was delectable, flavours perfectly thought out and balanced. It’s Michelin star quality, at a reasonable price. The team here work extremely well together and bring their passion to their customers.

A failed attempt at fine dining. Food is ok but it is not really there and it does not match the price. Servers trying way to hard to be fancy and they over explaining every minute detail to the pont where it becomes annoying. Who cares to know the name of the farmer who planted the potatoes if the dish is underwhelming. Also front of hose staff is sloppy and not rude but weird. It is like they know you but don't really care that you are there. Seriously I do not get why this place is so popular!? A plus for free tampons in the restroom. Also a fun name for a restaurant.

Great mix of perfectly served meals. Combination of tastes and well coked food. Professional service as a right complement !! To repeat in my next visits.

Incredible. Ambitious menu, very affordable. I loved the chill vibe. Nothing snobbish.

On first impression, Lyran seems like a humble restaurant with simple food but what really makes them stand out is their thoughtful attention to minor details for their guests. For example: alcohol free drink pairing, sound dampening wall mounts that made the place feel cosy with no acoustics, soft music at the right volume, tampons in the bathroom for anyone who needed them and the place was well staffed making sure all the guests were well taken care of. In addition to this, the food was really delicious and inspiring. Lots of interesting different combinations.

👍👍 Delicious crispy fries (Sweet potato), great with the Original and Maxburger menu. A little bit pricier compared to other international burger chains, but worth the price. Location of the branch is also nice, near many tourist spots and shopping areas. Very fast service, clean, and modern interior.
