Amazing Host along with delicious food. Live saving destination for who craving for Authentic Indian food. Since this restaurant serve South Indian dishes, don't expect any Punjabi or North Indian Dishes like butter chicken. Anyway Good idea to serve all options if they have chef for serving all kind of indian food.

We ordered palak paneer and kathirikkai kara kulambu and some some side dishes. It was very tasty, definitely coming back!

We dined at The South Indian in Malmö. After hearing from few our friends that the quality of food had gone down over the years we wanted to try it ourselves before making that judgement because in the past we used to like the food a lot. Glad we dined at The South Indian last week. The food quality was great and it was very fresh. After talking to the management it appears that they listened to the customers and made changes in the right direction. So the food quality I would say is even better than before. Thank you The South Indian for a nice experience.

The best South Indian restaurant I’ve been to in Europe so far. If you’re ever in Sweden and are looking for proper authentic South Indian cuisine, this place has a few branches around the country. I tried the sambar rice, chicken 65, onion pakoda and the chicken biryani. It was hands down one of the best biryanis I had in Europe. The service could have been a little faster as there was one person responsible for the front of the restaurant both the times I was there. The biryani here reminded me of biryani from back home. Thank you to the chef who is actually from Tamil Nadu and gets the authentic taste.

I really loved it here! The food is really tasty and varied. Not the typical staple food that most other Indian restaurants offer. I really loved the combo menus, where they offered a whole course (appetiser, main and dessert) at a very affordable price. I tried the menu caller Smaller menu (non veg) it was really tasty. We were in a big group so we all ordered something different and shared it with each other. Really worth mentioning is that they had idlis and dosas with different chutney which are very healthy and to die for.

I ordered shrimp 65 in the starter and the taste was really bad with so much oil in it. I believe that shrimp were directly taken out from the refrigerator and fried with masala. For the main course I ordered lamb dosa and again it's the same story (So much oil on the dosa). I have attached photos of my order. I didn't feel it was hygienic food.

Good food, with personality, not the generic "Indian" taste of ready spice mix. Try their coconut chutney, rasam and sambar!

We visited for a late lunch. Sadly, we missed the "Dagens" by 10 minutes because that deal is incredible. But, even so, we were thrilled. South Indian food is hard to find and our meal was amazing, trying Dosas, Samosas, and 2 different entrees. On top of that, the staff were so incredibly friendly. I'm very happy we found this place.

We were at the South Indian restaurant at Malmo earlier this week. Right from the time I made the reservation to ordering the food everything was personalized and our family was very impressed with the way the team here went out of the way to make it special for us. We mentioned that we were vegetarians and the food was yummy..very delicious but at the same time not too spicy but perfect..All the dishes we had were sumptuous. The hotel staff promptly responded to our requests when we messaged them and I can't wait to get back there when I am back in Malmo. The decor and ambience was very relaxing too. Strongly recommend.

Just loved this place! Chef from Tamilnadu! Requested for spicy food and he did not disappoint. Very delicious and tasty food in a decent ambiance. Wouldn’t hesitate to visit and recommend. Well done guys.

Have ordered from south indian back in 2020 and had a great experience. Ordered again yesterday, and the food was really bad compared to how it was back then. Very plain, and lackning taste and texture apart from a singel paneer piece. We threw it out immediately. I really hope this is a one-off since we have been happy with The South Indian in the past. Giving two stars instead of one for that reason.

Best food and service. If anyone wants to taste authentic south Indian food in Sweden, then this is the best place to try. I visited this place with my husband multiple times and we totally love the food here.

Covid: The restaurant was pretty empty at around 16.00 when I visited so I’d say you’ll feel really safe here. Service: This was really really good. The staff were very polite and took time to check if everything was ok. I’d give this 5 stars. They speak english too which is great!! Food: I’d give it 2.5 / 3 stars. I tried lamb biryani with rice and stole a few spoons of rice with lentils. It wasn’t as flavourful as I’d expected and the biryani was a little dry. Also tried a lemon drink that was more salty than anything else 😂 The quantities were adequate to satisfy an adult with an average appetite. Overall value for money is about 3.5 stars

If your are craving for South Indian in Europe and malmo was in your plan then just go for this restaurant... MUST be visited. An authentic south Indian biriyani, parrota, chicken and what not! Especially the spicy butter milk. Best food and awesome service....! Best ever biriyani that had on Europe 🌍 ✌️

So my parents visited from India a couple of weeks ago and I took them to this amazing restaurant. By the end of their meal, they said that they would like to eat here once again before they catch their flight back to India..and mind you, they live in the food capital New Delhi. The food here is very yummy and they will even adapt the spicy ness to your taste. The people here are also super friendly and honestly, I feel at home everytime I go there. 100% recommend this place - order anything - it's sure to have your taste buds dancing !!

Visited here back in May. Good value for money, amazing food and great service. Cannot recommend it enough, in fact I've just recommended to a friend visiting Malmö that they can't visit the city and not go to this restaurant!

Good south Indian meal so far in Sweden, lamb biryani , parota-chicken salna must try.. taste and price, its worth it ! Staff is attentive and helpful, food was served in reasonable time.

I ordered a masala dosa and Kesari here and both were great. The attendant was great. She was alone serving all tables and did her best to provide the best service. The ambience is beautiful. You get a fine dining experience here. Prices are decent.
