This is a beautiful and ornate cathedral. It is well kept and very true to its origins. The feel of this cathedral is really uplifting and sacred. It has an amazing clock, which is a true treasure. We were lucky enough to be there when it rang, and the mechanical workings were incredible to see and hear. It was by far my favorite church that we stopped at in the southern part of Sweden (admittedly, we didn't go to every single one). The lady at the front desk was extremely helpful as well and answered all of our various questions very kindly.

A remarkable beautiful cathedral that is almost 1000 old according to the tour info I have been told. It is well maintained over the years, and the design is absolutely spectacular with its magnificent structures. The natural lighting shades the interior beautifully. They have a special clock that does a cute little performance twice a day, one at 3 pm and one at 11 am or 1 pm... couldn't recall clearly. Enjoy the show, and don't put too much expectations on it lol

A little Swedish wonder. I enjoyed everything in this cathedral: the historical context for its building (the artificial creation of several bishops to gain the autonomy against the archbishop of the Hanseatic league), the sculptures on the stalls, the crypt and its couple of evil giants turned into stones, the permanent clock, etc.

American POV: a beautiful church, clearly rich in history. I wish there were more descriptions/signs in English so I could understand more without requiring a tour guide. Visiting on a Sunday in November it was very quiet and not busy.

900 year old cathedral 1123-2023 carries a lot of history. The astronomical clock runs at 12:00 and 15:00. It is particularly interesting with a carousel of figures coming out of the clock.

Worth visiting especially with the unique mural clock. Historical crypt is accessable to wheelchairs due to a special motorized rail.

It was a great experience to see one of the oldest buildings still in use in Sweden and is home to several historic furnishings and works of art! It is in the centre of the city, close to many restaurants and cafés. There is no entrance fee to enter the Cathedral, but you could buy brochures or guided tours! Don't miss the astronomical clock that dates from around 1425. It displays signs of the zodiac and the phases of the moon!

The 900 year old gothic style church is very impressive. They have been renovating the roof, but now the scaffolding is being taken down so you can also enjoy the exterior. Remember to visit the crypt to see the beautifully ornamented pillars.

It is one of the oldest stone buildings still in use in Sweden. It is very much near to lund central and is a beautifully preserved architectural church. It consists of two towers built by Zettervall, which flank the main entrance to the west.

During our visit to Lund Cathedral, we were treated to a truly remarkable experience. Consecrated in 1145, the cathedral holds significant historical importance and houses numerous renowned artifacts. The medieval clock and 11th-century crypt are just a couple of the fascinating features within. It comes as no surprise that the cathedral attracts over 700,000 visitors annually. With three stars in the Guide Michelin's Green guide, it stands as a prominent example of Roman architecture. The best part was that entrance to the cathedral was free, and nearby parking spaces were readily available. The friendly church staff added to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Overall, our visit to Lund Cathedral was a treat for the eyes and a captivating journey through history.

Beautiful Cathedral and home to a fascinating astronomical clock. The clock plays twice per day (12 and 15?). The crypt is really interesting as well - old tombs, carved figures, and uniquely shaped pillars. Minus 1 star because it was impossible to find out ahead of time from their website when they are actually open and you cannot go up the tower.

Great place to visit in Lund. Amazing building with an interesting history. The clock within the cathedral is worth to be seen in action with its music and moving figurines. Also, a visit to the crypt is mandatory.

Lund Cathedral, also known as Lund Domkyrka, is a cathedral located in the city of Lund in southern Sweden. It is one of the oldest and largest cathedrals in Scandinavia, founded in 1103. Its considered to be one of the finest examples of Romanesque architecture in the region. Toast its an mix of architectural styles that evolved over centuries. The cathedral features a number of notable works of art, including a magnificent astronomical clock dating back to the 15th century that is well worth a visit. Lund Cathedral is an important cultural and religious landmark in Sweden and is the seat of the bishop of Lund in the Church of Sweden. When you visit the cathedral take your self time to see the crypt as well. It’s one of the most pretty places in the church a bright summer day.

Lund Cathedral, at the heart of the old town, is a true masterpiece. Its grandeur and historical significance make it a central figure in Lund. The cathedral's architecture and interior are awe-inspiring, offering a glimpse into the city's rich past and cultural heritage. Visiting Lund Cathedral was a captivating experience, and I highly recommend exploring this iconic symbol of Lund's history and spirituality.

Stopped here while visiting Lund, and it was worth it! The outside looks amazing, but the insiding is mesmerizing! The crypt was open when we went. The clock was near to see. The cathedral has a very midieval vibe to it, and we loved it!

The cathedral of Lund is an amazing Romanic building of the 12th century. It is definitively worthwhile visiting, when Lund is on your agenda. Inside, the astronomical clock and the mosaic of the apsis are striking.

Very cute and quaint. It's amazing to see the technology they had all this years ago. You can explore church and go into the crypts. If you're already in Lund or only a short train ride away, I would recommend going in and seeing it.

The best and biggest church in Lund with very nice surroundings. 5 kr for littering a small candle at the church and it’s working fine with Swish. The church is under renovation so the rooftop is taken down now and it looks funny.

I've heard good things about the Lund Cathedral, unfortunately when I went, there was a service and guest couldn't go in. The exterior was also under renovation, along with the building next to it. I would not recommend to come during April due to all the events, and also not on a Sunday. The exterior though looked OK, hopefully I can come back in the future when everything's completed.

This is a great example of Romanesque architecture in Scandinavia. I would highly recommend coming here to anyone interested in medieval history, art, or architecture.

It's a nice cathedral including the stunning art in the cupola above the altar. It feels very Catholic, for a Lutheran cathedral which makes sense as it was built before the reformation. Scandinavia's Premier Cathedral. Be sure to check out the crypt! And the medieval clock.

Beautiful cathedral and impressive architecture from the earlier centuries. Must visit of you are around the town and have an hour or so to spare. Although entry is restricted due to Covid and other ceremonies, so watch out for the schedules and try avoiding Saturday for a visit

The extraordinary stone made medieval cathedral in the center of Lund - the underground makes an amazing impression - a rare sight in such facilities.
