We’ve being to Sofiero park numerous times. On our last visit, however, the main building was closed for renovations (August, 2023). Unfortunately, no information was provided in advance on the website (otherwise, we would have altered our date for a visit ) and the entrance-ticket was still at full price…. Amazing to see the sculptures from Canada in the Royal Swedish park. I can suggest the best time for a visit would be June, when all the rhododendrons are in blossom. It usually takes up to 2-3 hours to walk around through the entire area, but one can easily spend full day here. Lots of options for kids to play. Also, plenty of parking spots (free), a very nice coffee and sweets selection. If you buy tickets online, you can save up to 20 SEK for 2 persons. Definitely, one of the most wonderful places in Sweden.

A hidden jam and a fairy-tale. Rhododendron flowering season is out of this world beautiful. The work the they've put into keeping this place perfectly manicured is astonishing. Bravo!

The gardens were well looked after. Over 2 hours of walking through blooming flowers. Due to a festival, the view of the Castle was disrupted, but ticket prices were lowered as compensation.

We been there several times different time of the year. Each time is a beauty. Some routes ends up with stairs but generally with a trolley one can go everywhere. One must pay to get in though. Thats a little heart breaker but its worth it.

Loved the palace. The lush greenery everywhere is a treat for the eyes. The souvenir shop inside has an exquisite collection. My kid loved sofiero for kids.

Went to the “Höstljus” night held for a limited time between late October till mid November. Magical experience.. even though it was quite busy the management of the event I thought was done well. There will be overflow car parks on the day. (Check website for details)

I loved visiting this castle and its gardens. Special mention to the amount of rhododendrons that the late king Gustaf VI and his first wife Princess Margaret laid out and took care of. The inside of the castle is not so surprising, but the outside makes it a well worth visit!

Visit the castle it’s worth it. I was visiting a wedding there. It was so beautiful when the guests where leaving and you had the place later on just for yourself. Entrance staff was so helpful with where to go ans how everything works. The castle is a must see. Plane at least a whole day. Visiting everything in the garden as well.

Great place full of green. I have been during the lumiere show. Amazing experience to see how lights and music can be combined with harmony. Also a fantastic playground for kids. Worth for a visit for sure. Parking available on the other side the street. 50 kr. for 24 hours. Also easy to reach by public transport.

Amazing place for a family outing, especially during summer. Pack some food and have a picnic, the grounds and the flowers were awesome

Besutiful park, really cool. Good to visit even in the light rain conditions. Play-garden is sweet. Flowers composition is the best. Simple cool maze. Restaurant is not the best and high prices.

That was a perfect place to see, there are lots of flowers and design also was nice, next the sea. Different kinds of trees.. I'm happy that I could've been there. I can suggest everyone to go there. And lastly it's a really good to go with children, they were happily playing there.

Even though it was still early in spring and most of the plants hadn't bloomed yet, visiting the gardens was still a magical experience. Walking on the paths next to little ponds, overlooked by the castle was a really nice and calm experience.

Worth a visit !!!!! Loved the castle and the whole park area around it We went in summer time and had a long queue at the ticket counter. So if you are planning to visit during peak season, I recommend to buy tickets in advance. It took approx 3 hours to cover the whole palace and mesmerising park. Loved the place and would love to visit again.

Beautiful park and grounds! Good information about the origins of the plants and how the park was created - and restored. Very good restaurant with nice ambience. Cosy museum that gives you a peek into royal leissure life in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The museum shop is a dissapointment. Basically no local souvenirs; The stock is exactly the same as in a garden center in the UK. It would have been lovely to be able to buy the produce from the amazing vegetable garden or local pottery and other crafts. There are many talented artists in the vincinity.

Very quiet environment. Loved the scenery and organisation. A place where you can spend half to all your day. There are restaurant/bistro options (the one across the bridge I recommend for affordable prices). Enjoyable experience.

I could walk in the garden for hours! And with seasonal flowers and bushes, there's plenty of reasons to return. The castle tour was brief but interesting if you are interested in history. Not too expensive for the entrance ticket so I highly recommend a visit if you are nearby.

A great place to visit if you are in the area. it's nice to visit anytime. it has a beautiful and well maintained park. great views of the sea and Denmark

This place should get 10 stars, because it's so beautiful, even on a rainy day. Inside the castle it's not much to see, but the garden is gorgeous. You can even see Denmark from there.

The blooming flowers are indeed beautiful, but other than that there is nothing to see. The castle itself is very small, as it is in reality just a summer residence for the royal family. Only the second floor of the villa has exhibitions. The so-called exhibitions are just small rooms. Apart from three small furnished rooms, there is almost nothing in the other rooms, except for notice boards with texts. Overall the castle itself is very disappointing, tourists can walk through all the rooms in 10 minutes because they are really boring. Most people come for the garden, but spending 11.5 euros for the garden is not very appealing to me.

Very nice place to visit when you are at Helsingborg! Nice coffee and cafeteria there too, and suitable for children, amazing tree-house is there for your children to play. Inside the castle nice expositions. Recommendation would be student price for entry, now its 120Krona for adults. Staff is very friendly!

We only visited the gardens. Even though the weather wasn't great we really enjoyed our visit. The gardens are beauftiful - really worth a visit!

Nice exhibition right now in the royal summer house. They have super nice gardens and very good restaurants. It’s very peaceful feeling just sitting under the flower trees and enjoying the sea view. It’s about 1.5 hours walking. Lunch and fika could take much longer time. 3 hours in total in the park. Recommend!

Beautiful in both spring and autumn. I'd say going there on a sunny early autumn morning in October was just amazing. Virtually alone (apart from a few garden staff), walking on the small paths through the ravines, the changing autumn colours and along the burbling streams. Any visitor looking for a nice park to walk in, this is the one to go for.

Unfortunately, they have a 2 weeks event so no people are allowed. But you can book a reservation at the restaurant which was already full. So I'll be back tomorrow. Looks nice and you need bus 8 to get here. The bus stop is outside the Helsingborg station in the street no inside. The event was not mentioned in their website.

There is nothing much to see or experience during winter time . That is the reason why the entrance is free during this time .In the peak season during March - September entry is paid. There are restaurants available in the castle . Play area for kids are also available here.

We visited the property at the end of December, so keep that in mind. This place, if wiki is to be believed, is famous for the gardens. At the end of December, there's not much of that for sure. The castle was closed too. That said, if you go around the castle, you are greeted by one of the most impressive views. The castle is built on a promontory at the join point of two valleys. The chasm, cause that's what it looks like, Co tinues it's path to the sea, leaving behind an amazing view to the Öresund. Nice view, plus it was free, so what's there not to like? A café would have been nice

😐 The castle was closed when we visited but we found an enchanting tree-vine passage that looked just like the hole the rabbit disappeared into just like in Alice in Wonderland. The passage ( 🦟🪰 Mosquitoes & flies warning) lets in little light and can feel scary with the tangle of roots and vines....
