The nineteen bronze shoes lining the Davidshallsbron bridge, represent artists from different eras and professions. The title Way To Go refers to the red carpet as a symbol of entrance into and a highlight of the artistic life. The shoes each point to a place that was important to the artist, or where they had a career high.

It's nice to sit down in the sun next to the cats on the "stairs". On a sunny day you can watch both the people going shopping or exploring on land, and the people passing by on the water. Go to Willys nearby and grab a beer and some snacks for a cheap rest and refill in the sun or buy some really nice take away at Condecco that's just next door. Flotten is also starting out from this location.

The artwork is a fun idea, even though I only recognized one name. Don't miss the stairs and cats. It is a good place for a moment's break when visiting the city or passing by for any other reason.

The saying goes; to walk a mile in someone else's shoes. That's not possible here, but what you can do is to try on some old, famous, swedish actors shoes that have been cast in bronze and placed on the bridge. I can also recommend to buy some icecream or coffee and take a break from walking in Malmö and sit down on the stairs. Or how about renting a boat to paddle down the river.

Most things that you can see when you visit some foreign city are more the less same, a typical sightseeings. But some are quite unique, like this one.
