This place is a really great idea, showing houses from different eras together. Who ever designed it really thought it through well, it is well laid out. A major downside for tourists is that only part of information was provided in other languages - 90% was in swedish which isnt very helpful. I would recommend going, the kids really enjoyed it - nice place to visit if in the area

Strongly recommend this museum. We accidentally came across this museum and was attracted by the Pippi flag. U was doubt about it at the very beginning while the tickets cost 130 SEK. I was doubt why such small town has any attractive place cost such amount. After entering the museum, I was totally attract d by the exhibition and the design. It's really a nice place to come with kids and.as adult you can also learn a lot about Swedish history and why Swedisch looks like. I really enjoy it. Will visit again.

Super interesting place. It worth to spend few hours there. You can walk from one building to another and discover something new about Sweden, it culture, life in past. Museum in very good condition, staff are fantastic, those people like encyclopedic of Swedish culture. A lot of interesting exhibitions. And they have children’s zone, so you can just leave your kids there and explore.

Been here in July. They give you a brochure to get all the information about the places, buildings and houses that are in Kulturen. Nice place. We spent about 2 hours to see everything, it’s very big. It deserves a visit, that’s very interesting to understand how people lived in the past in Lund/Sweden with reproductions or original houses/work places. We didn’t buy the tickets in advance. We suffered a bit the rain because it’s open air with the possibility to enter some places.

Fascinating museum, with interesting exhibitions. It is wonderful to be able to enter all the houses and feel the atmosphere of past centuries. In the outside parts of the museum there are lots of spots to sit and rest. A nice playground is available for kids.

Paid self guided tour of life in Lund in the 1800-1900's. Covers how life was when everything was done by hand. Housing, locksmith, farming, living quarters, fashion throughout the periods and visitors from foreign lands. Lots to see on a walking tour.

The museum reunites different housing styles from various times. Most of them are depicted according to the different seasons/festivities during the year offering a pretty unique and accurate view of how was life and customs of swedes back then. Due to the (large) amount of buildings, several exhibitions (between permanent and temporary) happen at the same time so it's better to choose which ones beforehand and grab a map at the entrance to better locate everything inside. Space for kids is available even as part of some of the exhibitions. Clean bathrooms, guided tours are available during the week at specific times.

A lovely open air museum in Lund, which shows various Swedish architecture and contains various museum exhibitions as well. Can easily spend a few hours here, depending on how quick you go through each hall. The environment is well looked after and there are plenty of things to look at, both for adults and kids. Highly recommend a visit!

Nice place to speed a couple of hours with the family. There are old houses and an old church which is my favourite. Inside you get to learn about Swedish history and there are different exhibits. We have seen one about Jane Austen and the kids loved "Alice i Underlandet"

Excellent exhibitions, inside and out, and most of it had enough English translations to keep an avid learner busy for at least half a day. BTW, half a day is the *minimum* I'd recommend you devote to this place - I was here from 11:30 to closing time and only technically finished because the Folklore house was closed for renovations. Whoever said people typically spend up to 2,5 hrs here must not have counted anyone who actually read the documentation. The main building has 3 floors of artifacts and displays, and so do 3 other large buildings in the open-air section. Granted, there's nowhere near as much writing in the other buildings, but they still take a lot longer than the couple of minutes you might spend looking around one of the little thatched-roof peasant houses. The cafe is pretty good to - their chocolate balls were amazing.

Superbly done and maintained. Museum collections and displays are well thought out and very informative. Helped transport us back a few centuries to imagine life in Sweden at that time. Compliments to all those who plan and execute the vision of this place.

Well worth a visit very interesting to see the development of buildings over the centuries. Scooter/ wheelchair accessible in the main. We arrived not long after opening and that meant no queues. As we were leaving, there were actors dressed in authentic costumes acting as guides and more families were arriving. I spotted that there were children’s activities to participate in at that point.

Wonderful experience. I got really impressed from the selection of buildings to represent different eras. It would feel better with some additional information, but cannot deny that it offers a complete museum experience. A definite MUST stop if you visit Lund for the first time

Fantastic place. I was not expecting so much sightseeing, so many displays. Grrat choice when in Malmo.

Great museum. Don't be mislead by front building size, it's bigger than it looks, there is an open air museum and some other buildings with exhibitions. Takes a few hours but you can have a break and come back later the same day with the same ticket. Also the restaurant was very good. Totally worth it!

Really interesting museum. I guess we were lucky as we visited in March, so not many visitors and practically had the place to ourselves. Would definitely recommend, good value for money

Beautiful place, outdoor museum where kids and grown ups can enjoy themselves visiting a referent in the Scandinavian-Swedish culture. Around a green space you’ll visit different houses and constructions where you can see how our ancestors lived and worked. You can also visit Pippi Långstrump’s house where kids can play. Now during Christmas time, you can also visit the market inside with homemade traditional Christmas foods and drinks. Highly recommended to spend a couple of hours.

Great open air museum. The visitor can get a glimpse of the everyday life of "old times" in Sweden. The most impressive part is the great difference between a rural house and an urban wealthy house. Anyway, if you plan to visit (and you definitely should) I believe that you should spare at least 2 hours there. Next time I will try to bring my children too.

Deep respect for our workman in the earlier centuries. And respect for them who keeps the buildings in good condition.

Very interesting open air museum full of old buildings and homes collected from southern Sweden, that demonstrate how people lived from the Renaissance to the 1900s. The small church is especially charming. Kulturen also has some permanent and changing exhibits indoors.

A boring and disjointed museum with enough potential to make you think, wait, did I miss something? We have been three times over as many years but I think this trip will be the last for me in a while. No historical actors, staff or guides, almost no audio visual elements, no music playing anywhere...all these things make the museum feel very empty and lifeless.

This is a very interesting and varied place to visit. In addition to their permanent presence they have cool things going on throughout the year, including stuff for kids.

Sweden is rich in multiple things It can be intelligence , war tactics and culture too. Walking inside here is a treat to eyes while you feel you went in past to live the memories of war of Sweden and France , culture of that era and many things all together Loved the way they maintain their culture

Me and my parents loved it. It was very interesting to see these buildings and we were surprised that you're able to touch a lot of things. I was faszinated by the antique globe. I would totally reccomend if you're interested in seeing some old houses and more. (:
