A must see when in the south of Sweden. Gives a good impression about how Vikings really lived. No heroic stories, but everyday live. While visiting the museum, a lot of reenactors where present. Was a nice extra. Some information panels at the houses would be a plus.

The museum was very interesting and there were several fun activities like getting to dress up like a viking, however it was a little underwhelming the day we visited due to short staff. The guided tour was excellent and our guide really knew his stuff (a great storyteller, too!) but it felt incomplete because almost all of the village staff was out sick, so there was no one stationed at each farm to talk about their area. Despite that, it was beautiful, including a breathtaking view from atop the tower (you can even see the Øresund bridge between Copenhagen and Malmö). It would definitely be worth going back again when it's at normal staff capacity. We had lunch at the on-site barbeque restaurant, which was delicious, and the little cafe inside the gift shop was great for a quick fika. The gift shop itself was expensive and didn't have much to choose from, but the staff was very pleasant and still found a few handcrafted items to take home.

Lots of fun things to look at and lots of walking. Wasn't aware the viking actors that do activities and shows were only there Monday to Friday so I wouldn't recommend going on the weekend like we did if you want a bit of action! Wasn't as exciting for the kids so we didn't stay long as they were bored rather quickly after having seen everything. The small café was adequate for our needs, if not a little cramped when busy, but getting ice cream was probably the best part.

The location next to the sea, it is wonderful. It is small, in one hour more or less you visit the whole museum. It is a viking village with typical houses, a tower, tools and other decorations. It can be fun for children. There is a souvenirs shop.

We thought it was just OK. Went without a special event or group. There were not many volunteers doing activities, so more on your own to read and explore. Dog friendly. Kids appeared to have a blast.

Guide in English today was a very good storyteller. From the beginning of the tour through the village until the end where she was telling the myth 🤩

Wow, what an amazing museum! The 'vikings' told us amazing stories and let us made and play things like a real viking. Not just entertaining for kids, but also for adults.

We enjoyed our adventure in the museum. The environment is also nice, close to the sea. We had great fun taking selfies in customs.

One of the best open museum even seen. Think this is the only museum where you can see Viking and there fights. All volunteers were nice and helpful. Food is also good. Toilets are very clean. Overall best experience.

Great experience reliving some of the known lives of the Vikings. The guide brilliantly explained everything while keeping the sessions interesting and interactive. Enjoyed the experience and were lucky to find good weather. The gift shop was reasonably priced as well

Absolutely amazing time! You can go around by yourself or wait for a guided tour in Swedish or English and then explore after. We had the tour and there was lots of great information and lots of chances for questions. Someone also brought their dog along for our tour, so very dog friendly!

Amazing experience, definitely worth waiting for the guide, provided in Swedish or English. He gave an awesome performance, very real ;) Greatest thing about it- definitely the experiences of throwing a spear, a horseshoe, or bow shooting.

Great for families. My daughter enjoyed living a day in the life of a Viking. We saw the blacksmith work and the baker make flat bread. Interesting gift shop.

Fantastic open-air historical Viking village recreation. The information on the settlement is presented clearly and the workers were super enthusiastic. Loved getting to make a woolen bracelet and try the homemade bread. Sadly the weather was too problematic for archery. My husband was excited to get to try on real chain mail. I was impressed by the items in the gift shop that are actually made on site in the traditional manner. I bought a glass bead and would have loved to buy a pair of shears but I wouldn't be able to fly with them. Well worth a visit.

It's an amazing open museum/Viking village. We had the opportunity to see the blacksmith working, we could enjoy a guided tour and hear a "true Viking" telling stories in the great hall.

If you’re looking for a historical representation of a Viking village and what Vikings were up to when they weren’t boating around, then come here by all means. Impressively hand built village that they’ve filled with “actors” that allow you to help out or try out different chores. Blacksmith, baker, sewing, spear throwing, archeological dig for the kids and more. Added bonus I got to put my girlfriend in the stockade - more exiting for me than it should have been. On the negative side Ticket price is really steep! For a family with two kids it will most likely not be a place we will revisit any time soon based on price only.

Small nice open air museum you need visit. The guide (Leo) was extremely good to understand for non native speaking visitors. We spent only 2 hours there as a stopover when you cross the bridge from Denmark.

Amazing viking village and it's an authentic experience. I fully recommend that you dress more viking as you can to enjoy the travel in time. You will find yourself in that misterious life. Take with you time and imagination. ♥️

Visited during one of the days with events. Interesting little viking village, but very small. Lots of tents with shops, selling handmade products from clothes to weapons to decoration... The animations during the day were without any pretention, and thus not too interesting... The place doesn't habe any trees, so don't go there on a very hot and sunny day, or bring lots of sunscreen and water! Almost no food sold there, there would be so much potential for nice roasted meat or lots of other things, but all they sell is some burgers... Disappointing.
