Slottsmöllan in Malmö is a historical smock mill located in the garden of Malmöhus slott which was built in 1851 on the area of the former bastion Stenbock. Between 1879 and 1895, Slottsmöllan's millstones were powered by a steam engine, then up to 1930 again with wind power. The regular operation was discontinued in 1945 and the mill was now subject of the museum administration. The mill and the adjoining house of the miller, including the garden, are fully furnished and show the living and working conditions of a miller's family from the 19th century. The place around the mill is frequently used for open-air concerts and other events during the summer months.

This is a beautiful and well maintained old mill placed at the end of the garden with the castle on the right hand side if you have the garden at your back. There is a little Secret Garden in the vicinity :)

Nice mill and a good place to relax and just hang out. Had a snooze in the mill's shade on a really hot summer's day while waiting for my onward train to Köpenhamn. 10/10 would snooze here again.

I had the pleasure of visiting Malmo Castle Mill, and it was truly a delightful experience. This historic windmill is a well-preserved gem, providing a fascinating glimpse into the region's history. The interior of the mill is informative, with interesting exhibits about its operation and its role in the community. Furthermore, its location near the castle adds to its charm, and the view from the mill is spectacular. It's a perfect spot for a cultural outing and to appreciate Malmo's heritage. I highly recommend it to visitors in the area.

This iconic castle mill is an absolute must visit while in Malmo. It's gorgeous & quite intriguing. Easy to spot as it is gigantic in person. We were lucky to be there on a warm sunny day. The sky lit it up along with the tranquil garden backdrop.

Interesting windmill to have a look at. The surrounding area (gardens, river, etc) is also good for walking so take 30-40 minutes out of you day to take a look around.
