… a friend kept talking about this place that we decided to have dinner here. You couldn’t really tell much about this place from the outside. They have a great menu selection with an extensive drink list. You can choose to sit outdoor or indoors. The restaurant gets really busy so you have to make advance reservations to get a table. We had really good service even though he said he was new 🙂we had 1730 reservation and even then it was busy & lively.

The best restaurant in Malmo! Prices are reasonable for Sweden, the menu is short which means everything is fresh. The portions are big and satisfying. We ate the fish soup and lamb with herbs and potatoes. Definitely recommended. The red house wine is good too.

Be sure to reserve a table as you may not get a seat. There are not many dishes, the prices are high, but the portions are very large. I really liked the schnitzel. A big piece of meat, a lot of sauce, very tasty potatoes with cheese. Very tasty fish soup with salmon and shrimp, just perfect, I really recommend it. I had Entrecote as well, it was perfectly cooked and delicious. The coffee doesn't taste good. They don't have Latte coffee.

A great restaurant place to have Swedish food. You can choose to sit indoors or outdoors. Ordered the Veal Meatballs and the Fish Soup. Both dishes were excellent. Great ambience and good service. Definitely a place to visit when in Malmo.

Malmö‘s finest restaurant with focus on quality not quantity. We were a large group of 15 people with different meals. Each one was better than the other. We enjoyed the atmosphere as well. It had a nice traditional touch. We loved it.

Absolutely fantastic place! The Swedish beers were really good. A bottle of house wine only 300 SEK which is a steal. The veal meatballs were probably the best meatballs I had in my life, although I would like to have the option between potato mash or grilled potatoes for the dish. Very yummy the tartar ! We were too full to try dessert the portions are very big

We LOVED our dinner here. We had reservations and I recommend that as they seemed quite busy on the Saturday we were there. We got nachos for an appetizer which were unexpected and a little bit of a strange choice - but they sounded good and were well executed. We both ordered the Swedish Meatball dinner and it was AMAZING. So fresh, flavorful and well cooked. The fresh pop from the pickled cucumbers and the lingonberries were perfect to cut the richness of the meatballs and gravy. Would absolutely visit again and order the same thing! Service was kind and attentive.

We do a day trip to Malmö from Copenhagen. Got a friend to make a reservation here which is popular for its meatballs. The meatballs was definite a must and you will have no regrets. It was soft and tender together with its sauce. We also ordered the pork belly and the fish soup. The soup was creamy and delicious. This is a must stop over.

Visited in December 2021. Traditional pub serving delicious traditional Swedish food. Had a wonderful experience. The interior was really cozy. Met two locals who told us that we picked the right place to enjoy traditional and authentic Swedish meals. Ordered: 1. Appetiser: two kinds of herring with Västerbotten cheese, egg and bread 2. Veal meatballs with whisky crem sauce, pickled cucumber, lingonberries and mashed potatoes 3. Herb and garlic marinated lamb, with feta cheese creme, green asparagus in bacon, and potato gratin

I highly recommend this restaurant, the food was delicious and I loved the apple cider and the staff was amazing! The place is out of this world. The prices were quite expensive, but totally worth it.

This is a warm and cozy restaurant in the town centre where you can choose several excellent Swedish dishes nicely presented. Among them we enjoyed as a starter the one with two different preparations of herrings, and then the generous köttbullar and the dense and tasty fish soup. Just as an orientation, and including a 750 ml of red wine from the house, it was around 90 euros. Friendly staff team too.

A nice pub with a great atmosphere. The food was very good, I had the meatballs (pictured here, mashed potatoes and other seasoning was served separately to share with the table as we were 4 taking them) and a creme brulée for dessert and would recommend both of them. The quantity was more than filling and it was of good quality.

Amazing place! This restaurant has an interesting story and kind of looks like a pub. We had a lovely table by the window and we enjoyed the meal so much. The food was great and the staff was friendly and caring. Would definitely go back.

It was a great place if you would like to try something traditional… The fish soup was from heaven for a seafood lover like me… The meatball and steak was also really good but a bit salty for my taste… recommended!

Very cozy place, rather centrally. I really liked the food I was served, and I have enjoyed the vibe of the place. Small selection of beers but all of great quality. Reasonable prices.

🙏 try starters, may be it will be pleasantly surprise you... May be you love it 😏 may be definitely not, who knows. So, I had eaten soup. Amazing, a lot of shrimps, salmon, rich broth. For kids we had token meatballs with smash potatoes and cranberries. For me it's not usual have cranberries like berries, not a jam, in this case. You know IKEA? They give you cranberries jam. But it was pretty nice to have just berries. Interesting fact at the restaurant you can order alcohol free Ale.

Woow! My first food experience in Sweden and it was incredible. The Toast Skagen was so good that if I ever develop a shrimp allergy, I will have it as my last meal. The Meatballs and lingonberry jam were the best I’ve ever had and the lingonberry juice as well was fresh and refreshing. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, highly recommended!

I saw this place on the internet and decided i had to try their meatballs. The place was fully reserved you should know that, but they were kind enough to find us a table for two. We had the best swedish meatballs there. I enjoyed them so much, also suggest to try the fish soup. Service was polite, kind and so quick. The place was so authentic. Loved the vibe!

The food was great especially meatballs and fish soup is definitely a must try dish to travel far to here..Yet spaces bit too little to fit all people especially the table near the toilet is quite off the scene for those sitting there..

It was the best part of my experience in Malmo. We had a sweet surprise to meet one of the owners who warmly welcomed us. In addition to that, the meatballs was one of the best I have ever had. We had also tried a special beer he advised us and it didn’t disappoint. Great experience! 5 starts is not enough for all we received, great food, great service and great atmosphere. I highly recommend it.

I went in a group of 2 adults and 1 teenager. One of us adults ordered the schnitzel and the other adult and teenager shared a fish soup and schnitzel. Fish soup was creamy with delicious vegetables with perfect consistency and a good amount of seafood. 5 stars. Schnitzel was a bit salty to my tasting but I guess it’s not a German restaurant so that’s okay. 4 stars. We sat downstairs and atmosphere was very nice with background music and space between tables. Waiter was very nice and she took care of us. 💰Recommendation💰 Plates are very big so if you’re in a group of 3 it’s worth ordering 2 plates. Groups of 2, order 1 big plate and if you’re on your own, then order a smaller plate like the schnitzel

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and feels like an older pub. For lunch we ordered the classic swedish meatballs. They were the best and most delicious meatballs I've ever had. There are seats outside but I would still recommend to reserve a table before arriving. Definitely like to visit this place again.

A Swedish style restaurant with vintage decoration. My menus were fish soup, Swedish meatball, fish and pecan cake.

Great experience in a cozy wood-panel-walled restaurant serving traditional Swedish meals. Tried the meatballs and the roasted lamb with au gratin potatoes, both were excellent and the portions were generous--the meatballs could easily feed two people. A must-try in Malmo!

I had to come to Malmö to have the best meatballs I have ever had in my life, here at Bullen - Tva Krogare. A Swedish pub full of character, with amazing food, amazing service and great atmosphere. I totally recommend coming here and having the veal meatballs… you will thank me later.

We ordered the veal meatballs (pictured here) and it was delicious — the gravy was especially good! The sides (mashed potatoes, lingon berries) were served separately to share with the table (we had two orders of the meatballs). Great ambience and good service. Would definitely recommend.

Each time I’m in Malmö I come here to eat. Always good food and always nice waiters. Swedish meatballs are the best here in the entire town, and much better than what we had in Stockholm!

This place is absolutely incredible. We got a train here from Copenhagen for the day, and ordered the veal meatballs with lingonberry jam and potato mash. This was a good choice, as the food was absolutely incredible and very filling. The place also generally has a friendly family feel. I’d definitely come back here in future.

A nice pub/restaurant with very friendly staff. The food was great i had oven baked cod, beef tartare and mushroom sauce and it was delicious, highly recommended to pay this place a visit. One thing to keep in mind, if you planning to go there around lunch/dinner time a reservation in advanced will be very handy to get a table.

Hidden gem in the city 😋 The food were very very good. The waitress was very nice and helpful. Small nice cozy place. Better to make a reservation beforehand. We enjoyed our meal and evening, highly recommended!

Bullen is always a great experience. I fully recommend the restaurant for authentic Skåne/Swedish food. The meatballs (köttbullar) Swedish way are served with smashed potatoes and lingonberries and cannot be more delicious. The porch belly and the tartar are my favorites, but they offer vegetarian and fish options too. The qualities of the beer and dessert are not less important.

Make reservations! We were vacationing in Copenhagen & heard that Bullen had the BEST Swedish meatballs, so we had to see! EVERY portion of this meal was DELICIOUS! We had the chicken salad and garlic bread that we ordered TWICE after the first bite! We also had the meatballs (the gravy was so rich & the condiments provided a PERFECT pickled bite), schnitzel was amazing, and the shrimp dish was delicious! We completed our meal with creme brule and chocolate cake. The automosphere was warm & inviting and our hostess Cassandra was a delight and made our experience even better. This is definitely a must STOP!

Great restaurant for traditionally Swedish food! The prices are a bit steep (but so is all of Sweden), however everything they served was exceptional, from beer collection to dishes. I had the lamb with herbs, which I strongly recommend! My friends had the meatballs, which were very good as well, such a staple in their menu. We did not require a reservation, we were able to drop in freely at lunchtime.

You should sit inside as the atmosphere there is amazing. The food is delicious. I recommend having Swedish meatballs. The meals are quite big. Local draft beer is fine. The staff is very kind as well.

What a wonderful find! If you’re looking for authentic delicious Swedish cuisine, this is the place!!! Lemon sole fillet au gratin was pure comfort food served with a warm friendly family atmosphere. I hope to return soon to try the meatballs 👌🏽
