The historical museum is very interesting you can easily spend there 2 hours and learn a lot about Malmo’s history. The entry fee is very cheap it’s around 4€ and you can see 2 museums for that price. They only open at 11am. It’s an interesting place and definitely worth to visit is.

Very nice tour, entrance is for 60 dkk,and it is worth it, a small historical review of Malmo city and the conflict between Malmo and Copenhagen, the castle tour is well done,i liked particularly the prison area, there s also the museum of art wich was fine, you can also enjoy the aquarium especially if u have kids so they can see different fish species and underwater world. I highly recommend it.

I spent about 90 minutes making my way through the exhibits. Doesn’t feel like a truly grand castle but it was pretty interesting and also houses a substantial art gallery and aquarium. Not bad at all for 40 SEK entry (£3.15).

It is a beautiful cultural place to visit. The history behind the castle is fascinating. The paintings inside are awesome and it's cost me and my partner only 80 Swedish crowns to get in.

Another great example of Northern European Brick Gothic architecture... The castle grounds are a must see, and I'm sure are spectacular any time of year. The museum is a great little gateway into the medieval times with histories and explanations to the ever evolving landscape of Malmö. I reckon it is a must see for any castle aficionados.

Also sehr sehenswert und sehr viel!

If you like castles it is a nice place to walk to and take some photos. It is in Scania neighborhood. Don't expect some medieval huge castle, it's more like a small museum. Nice building surrounded by a water trench.

Not bad, but nothing special. Have in mind, with the ticket for the castle you can visit the museum which is 100 meters next to the castle

There is a museum inside. Admission is free until the age of 19, there is a 50% discount for students. You can go into the yard, sit on a bench. I didn't visit the exposition.

Malmo Castle - fortress. I didn’t have a chance to come inside. I have decided not to visit museum, but I just wanted to walk around and see this castle. To be honest if I would be going inside probably I would have a better option about it. I hope to visit the museum one day.

I have always loved history, and the same goes for museums. Malmö Castle has a very relevant and creative exhibition of Art, Culture, and History. It immerses people in the time and the stories behind the presentations. You will not be disappointed if you want to take a journey through history, especially with good company.

This is not an avarage castle, for sure. History combined with nature and aquarium. The price included acces to the technological museum, right next door.

  • 5/5 JALU 8 months ago on Google
Highly recommended visiting this castle and going into the museum and aquarium. The ticket is also valid for the technical museum which is across the street, if you choose to go the same day. You learn about the history of the castle and the warfare between Swedes and Danes.

It's a fun museum but the first part doesn't have translation in English ( maybe I didn't see the QR code but in that case it should be obvious so people could scan it ) and some other parts as well. Most interesting part for me was the video about castle's history. It was very well made. I like the fact I was able to see axolotl as well

This is a wonderful place where you can see and hear a lot of different things like history of the castle, art gallery, the beginning of life on the our planet, mini zoo with some very special animals from all around the world... Be aware that you need 2-3 hours to visit everything.

Like, the Aquarium was cool and a couple of artworks. But other than that there was totally bad artworks, don't get me wrong but this "modern" art is not worth it. But i liked the art, mostly. But yes the first part was quite good with the animals but other than that I don't think it's worth it.

Not quite the castle vibe that you’d expect. They had an aquarium which was really nice. The art gallery is also something interesting to see, but the actual castle looks a bit unorganized and lacks the interesting historical facts and stories about it. I wasn’t impressed, but you might like it.

A medieval castle enriched with scientific themes attractive for kids. Just be careful to enter the castle side because it is not very appropriate for kids, the castle was used as prison, the stories, the circumstances are very intense, may not be appropriate to the kids. The castle management should be more cautious about it.

Really nice castle to visit, we enjoyed our time but take into account that is really huge and it takes a lot of time to visit.

There were no lines when I visited (winter) but it's also not a very good time to visit at all. The cold is draining. The castle is better from the inside than the out. The park is very nice, if it's not freezing cold

You'll most likely need to book your tickets in advance. We unfortunately weren't able to get tickets but the grounds are absolutely beautiful! We were able to visit while the Dahlias were blooming. Thee is also in the same area that is really pretty to walk through.

Very family friendly. No strollers allowed though so be prepared to switch yours out for one of their more compact versions. Docked one star due to only a small portion of it remains in historical era format however they had a video in one part of the castle that thoroughly explains the history and that was very informative and interesting. Quite a large portion of the facility was used as an art gallery which we weren’t in the mood to see. Did appreciate the aquarium and gift shop as well.

Unfortunately, we could see the castle only from the outside. The museum in the courtyard is interesting, but for me it has too many taxidermy animals (photos would be enough). An interesting exhibition on climate change and circular economy. It is worth seeing the terrarium in the basement. Thanks for letting us in despite not having a COVID-19 related pre-booking.

Malmö Castle was a huge disappointment. Despite very long lines to the museum, its appearance has been one of the worst that I've ever seen across the world.

Nice place for walking and exploring the city! Take a look at it 🙏🏻 But the ice cream was not very nice

Definitely not the most impressive Castle but it has it's charm. Nowadays serves as museum and grounds for seasonal exhibitions. I do highly recommend visiting Park next to it with beautiful plant gardens from different parts of the world and the beautiful windmill.

This place jas tons of things to see. For 50SEK is one of the cheapest castle/museum to see in town. You can spend 4-5 hours, from learning a bit of Swedish history, to see an exhibition, to check out the history of animals and sea world, and you can also use the same ticket to visit the technical museum and check out a submarine, old timers transportation vehicle. It is a hood day spend for the whole family.

We bought the yearly card today so now it’s officially a place for us to spend during our spare time. It’s so perfect to see everything with kids. All the animals, aquarium, and the paintings too. They had a lot of fun. Just one more thing is one star less. The restaurant is not so nice even the coffee is kind of terrible. Not recommend to have fika but completely fine to buy some ice cream sticks 🤠

During our visit to Malmo Castle, we were transported back in time to witness its rich and storied history. Built in 1434, the castle stands as a remarkable testament to the past. It was a true feast for the eyes, showcasing exquisite architecture and captivating details. The entry fee of SEK 60, which included access to the museum, proved to be a worthwhile and reasonable investment. The staff members were incredibly helpful, ensuring a pleasant and informative experience. Parking was conveniently located nearby, making access to the castle hassle-free. Overall, our visit to Malmo Castle was nothing short of amazing, allowing us to delve into the fascinating history of the Malmo dynasty.

Lots to see. Aquarium, natural history museum, Castle. Would have been good to have a map, or a virtual one on the phone to use. Great section about the Jewish plight.

Impressive old castle with the big park behind it. The entrance fee ist really low so defintely worth a visit, also if you are not interested in swedish history. There is also an interesting (not only for kids) aquarium inside.

  • 5/5 Monika R. 11 months ago on Google
For price of 40 SEK you will see a lot :) walk through the castle, all exhibitions. Aquarium included. Ticket is also valid for technical museum in next building. We spent there about 2hrs. Enjoyed very much.

It's a nice atmospheric building, but nothing too breathtaking. I didn't visit the museums inside, so maybe it's more stunning there. No free toilets outside.

Castle and museum full of history and fun things for the kids. We spent some hours there, should probably have spent 2 days. So much to see and do.

  • 5/5 Lucie P. 8 months ago on Google
We had a very nice moment in the museum. The exhibitions are varied and interesting, you can find art, fashion, history spaces that are all great. The exhibition on Malmö's architecture was really good. We could not visit all the rooms, but we'll certainly come back.
