This is a very nice place to overnight between Johannesburg and Durban. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Real value for money. For travelers that stay longer, this might be a little basic. More than adequate for a night's stay. Parking is safe under a roof in front of the unit. Personnel is very friendly and helpful.

Our car broke down and they were our saving grace at 12 at night. Through all the chaos they gave us a save place to stay with the best service. Thank you very much we will definitely come stay there again when we travel and can recommend for anyone.

Even though I stay only 1 night . It's a quiet environment. Nice view of the big mountain. There is a lot of activities even though I didn't get a chance to explore. There is also an area I saw a caravan, which is cool . Everyone can be comfy

Beautiful view. Our room was Clean, quiet with restaurants and shops closeby. A reliable and safe overnight.

On arrival @ 19:00 reception was closed despite advertised check in time until 23:00 Eventually someone arrived to assist us He was very rude and played music during the entire encounter. Stunning view and great location Rooms are spacious and everything you need to spend the night

After a long road trip i am greatful that I could bring my Chihuahua with us to mountain view inn, but beds are extremely uncomfortable, my husband and I needed to sleep in separate beds due to the bed being so uncomfortable. Other than that rooms are nice. Very nicely situated just off the N3.

As a halfway stop on the way to Durban, the room seemed okay and was conveniently situated near the restaurants. However there was a strong smell of stale cigarette smoke in the room, a bucket of cigarette butts at the front door. Turned on the taps to bath our 5 month old baby and muddy water came out, a little fly started circling the water soon after. We left the same day and drove the rest of the way to Durban in the dark. Rather get a takeaway at Bergview and stay somewhere clean in town, it costs about the same.

Excellent place for the price. They need to install taller mirrors to enable full body viewing.

Mountainview Inn is ideally situated for the traveller whose itinerary straddles KZN and the Free State. Situated in Harrismith just off the N3, the inn is not really an inn, but rather a collection of rooms nestled on the side of the hill as you leave Harrismith. There is very little in the way of entertainment (no pool or games room etc) but the accommodation sits in the middle of a small business centre with many restaurants etc to choose from. The rooms are simple but well maintained with a fridge, kettle, TV, shower (with a shower curtain) and a small double bed. The staff is incredibly friendly and the setting is scenic. A great option for an overnight stay while travelling.

Great location for this particular accommodation,the following franchises and more are available (garage,kfc,nandos,debonairs etc).Nice rooms with enough space and affordable.Great service from the ladies at the reception.Each room has space for parking one vehicle.Would definitely be back here anytime.
