I stayed here with my boyfriend while visiting his family who lives nearby in Harrismith last December. We stayed in the Makoti luxury suite. It was very nice with lots of storage in wooden cabinets. I wish we took more photos of the room because it was absolutely beautiful with the windows on both sides, high ceilings, and fireplace. I loved the thatched roof. It was very interesting for me to watch a hail storm from our private balcony! I was visiting from America, so thatched roofs and hail storms are a novelty for me. The pool was clean and refreshing. It was nice walking around the property and viewing the ostriches. We enjoyed the spa tub and fire place in the evenings. We ate at the restaurant the first night and got room service the second night. Honestly, we were not too crazy about the food. The only other issue we had was the sound of traffic from the nearby highway, but it was easy to ignore considering all the other beauty with the gardens and architecture.

It is always a treat staying over here as a halfway-stop. The service is always friendly. The food is SO good. Treat yourself to the homemade Chicken pie. The rooms are always very neat and they include a small fridge which is something not to be overlooked.

Very wonderful area with beautiful scenery. The room was nice and dark, but the geyser made loud noises. The staff at the restaurant wasn't very attentive and we had to wait very long despite the restaurant being empty (besides one other person that was by himself), but the food was thankfully very tasty.

Stunning little cottages - meals in the main house. Spa treatments as well. Perfect overnight stay on your way to Cape. Hein Pretorius and I have even stopped there for a quick lunch.

I'm loving it. It's very peaceful and the service is great, the staff friendly. My only problem was the traffic noise

The perfect stop on the way to Durban, great hosts. Supper wasn't the fastest, but we are on holiday, so slowing down is good. Meals are good sized portions.

Excellent stopover with Aircon full DStv,i.e. all sport. Excellent dinner breakfast options, no need to travel into town. Hot water pressure excellent, bed comfy. Coffee and tea laid out.

Great for stopover if traveling between Gauteng and KZN coast. Rooms neat and well equipped. Coffee & tea provided in rooms. Many large oak trees and beautiful gardens and buildings. All meals available on al la carte menu. Good selection of dishes served in quaint 'old world' dining room. Meals we had for dinner were very tasty, but sadly we could not stay for breakfast owing to other committments. There is also a large, beautiful wedding venue which was being prepared for a wedding. Without a doubt the most beautiful wedding tables and decor I have seen.

We stayed over on Saturday night on our way to Johannesburg. Was very impressed with the service, food and the staff. They were very helpful and friendly. If you got the right staff you have to keep them. What you guys got is a brilliant team. Room was clean and I just loved the bath. Will definitely recommend them and will use them again

1st time at La La Nathi and we love it. Rooms are clean, beds are comfy, food is good, staff is friendly, beautiful gardens. And all the wooden furniture is lovely. We will definitely be sleeping over here every trip we make to and from the coast.

The place is nice and quiet and the rooms cosy and clean. Would be nice if all rooms had aircondtioning coz it can get a bit chilly. But overall its one of the best places to stay in that area.

I've been a guest with LA LA Nathi for quite some time and they never disappoint. The reception staff are always friendly and make you feel welcome. I normally use their chalet/"Rondawel" if you like the African vibe with a touch of class then you will like it. The units closer to the N3 highway tend to noisy due to the highway traffic but it's definitely not unbearable, once in your cozy bed, traffic on the the N3 is the laast thing on your mind. LA LA Nathi is thΓ© halfway stop.

My Company Valecus Pty Ltd booked accommodation & the conference facility for a business shareholders meeting. Everything & I mean everything was absolutely top class. From the original contact at your bookings office through to your friendly & very accommodating staff & kitchen staff was an extremely pleasant experience. Don't change anything, you have a winning formula. An accolade to the owners and the staff.

Most friendly staff I have encountered at an establishment. Beautiful, clean rooms with comfortable beds and even electric blankets and air-conditioning to ease the Harrismith winter. Cosy fireplace in dining room creates perfect atmosphere to enjoy homemade soup and chicken pie - comfort food at its best! Would definitely recommend for travelers to KZN.
