We recently stayed at the Royce for our anniversary. We also happened to get married at the venue, pre-renovations 7 years ago, and were excited to see it newly refurbished. It did not disappoint. The room was amazing, the staff were super friendly and breakfast the next morning in the 'glass house' was a great way to finish. Thank you to everybody there for making it a great mini-vacation.

WOW! WOW! WOW! Absolutely amazing stay we had at The Royce. One of the most clean and well maintained hotels we have ever seen. Jennifer was an absolute pleasure to deal with and catered to all of our requests with such ease and grace. Our two year old was so excited to get back to the hotel just to see Jennifer at the front desk. Miguel, Nick and Jill were also always so kind and beyond helpful throughout our stay. Had the loveliest stay for our wedding anniversary. The room was just beautiful. The staff were so lovely and helpful. We also loved our cocktails at the bar and dinner at the restaurant. I felt sad to leave, will definitely be back again.

The room that I was allocated has a slightly different structure compared to what I saw on the website. Nate and the team cared about my problem and never once made me stress when I raised my issues. They did their best to sort it out and offered me a good alternative. Nate’s thoughtfulness is beyond kind. Your kindness and warmth are greatly appreciated.

We were here for breakfast at The Terrace. The most exceptional service in Melbourne. Although we were not hotel guests, the manager was extremely kind, attentive, friendly and professional. Food was delicious and coffee was lovely- the same as top Melbourne brunch cafes. Not able to book the breakfast via website but you can easily ring up to make a booking. The newly renovated hotel is just gorgeous. The terrace was covered with plenty of sunshine through the glass doors. Staff were kind and no one rushed us at all. Thank you for such an amazing breakfast! Location is great, tram is right outside the hotel.

Took my goddaughter to The Royce for lunch for her birthday and it was sublime. The atmosphere is perfection, service second to none and the meal was next level. It was a special occasion made evenore special by this faultless experience.

This is a magnificent Art Deco Hotel masterpiece. Everything has been thought of in tremendous detail, they completely spoil you in the fabulous atmosphere of the era. An absolute pleasure.

My wife and I wanted to try somewhere new for drinks and snacks and we weren’t disappointed. Lovely booths to sit at and watch the world go by, friendly staff and a superb menu of Small Bites and Small Dishes. Try The Showroom Bar for and easy but glamorous spot for drinks and nibbles in Melbourne.

Unbelievable hotel, extremely well presented and the recent renovations are incredible! Must see in person to appreciate the beautiful design changes. Food, rooms and staff are all amazing

We highly recommend The Royce hotel it is in a great location. Nothing is too much trouble, their staff are wonderful, and special mention to Nate and Gerard who made our stay with our family for our sons wedding an absolute joy. Our king Balcony rooms and terrace room were stunning, dining and in room food and drinks were fabulous, valet parking perfect, can't wait to come back to your beautiful boutique hotel again, thank you everyone.

We couldn't have asked for more. We stayed here the night before and the night of our wedding, as did some of our bridal party. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed - assisting our photographer, hair and makeup team, and videographer to locate the rooms, bringing in the champagne, and even bringing in additional chairs while we got ready. We had a brilliant time, and will definitely be coming back!

My husband and I had dinner with friends at the Royce last night. It is one of the most elegant restaurants we have been to. The staff were so professional and friendly and the food was AMAZING!!! It is also right outside a tram stop so extremely easy to get to from the city. Highly recommend. We will be back.

This is the second time I have stayed at the Royce Hotel since the incredible renovations. I’ve stayed in a terrace room and now The Boulevard room. Both are absolutely stunning and comfortable. The fit out is world class. Last nights stay was to celebrate a friends birthday. We are in the Showroom bar and the service and food was absolutely superb! The Eye fillet steak frites was cooked to perfection . Every dish was presented beautifully. A special mention must go yo each and every member of the hotel and the restaurant bar. Nothing was too much trouble, the service was impeccable and would highly recommend to anyone wanting an amazing night out and in. I truly cannot fault any of it and will return for sure.

One of the best boutique hotels ever. It helps that it got recently renovated. Besides the chic art-deco style, the food and service are first-class.

My first time staying at the Royce Hotel and definitely won’t be my last. Excellent, attentive and friendly service across the hotel, and perhaps the best sit at the bar dinner I’ve had in years. Small gripes - bathroom amenities are “smell great, totally synthetic” variety and the gym is small and uninspired. Wifi was also extremely slow and made even web browsing difficult meaning I ended up hotspotting my mobile phone. By contrast the rooms are spacious, well appointed and very comfortable. Proximity to the Tan and Botanic Gardens was a massive plus as well.

I had an exceptional experience at the Royce Hotel in Melbourne. The care and attention I received were unparalleled. From complimentary wine and desserts with personalised notes to fresh bottled water in the car post-valet, every detail was thoughtful. James at the front desk was incredibly accommodating, and the restaurant left a lasting impression. A 5-star stay that exceeded expectations.

My Mother & myself visited the Royce Hotel last Saturday 6th January. We are Both Locals. Upon Arrival we were "Welcomed" by a Lovely Staff Member working here from America. Excellent Customer Service Skills Presentation & Personality ! We ordered Cocktails & they were AMAZING ! Excellent Cocktail Making Skills, Bartender ! The Seating Arrangements & Ambience was Fantastic ! So Relaxing & Comfortable ! Recent Renovations Royce Hotel AMAZING !!! BEAUTIFUL !!!!

Had an excellent experience. The suite was newly renovated and beautifully done. All the staff were great especially James who went overboard to make sure my stay was amazing. Highly recommend this hotel

Dropped into the Royce after work and had a few drinks. Friendly staff, very clean and tidy. Great selection to choose from. I will definitely be going back to experience more.

Worst reception / concierge service I’ve ever received. Rude, unhelpful and both times I’ve stayed there I have been double charged for my room and has to argue to get a refund. I’ve been treated so poorly I will not be returning or recommending this place to anybody

STUNNING venue, impeccable attention to detail. Quality food and extremely well trained, courteous staff. The recent renovation creates a little bit of ‘Gatsby glam’ here in Melbourne. Highly recommended!

I recently organised a small medical conference (60 attendees) at the Royce and received so many glowing remarks from everyone about the hotel - we had the scientific component of the conference in the Ballroom but breaks in the library, conservatory and restaurant. Laura was a delight to work with from the start (last year) and nothing was too much trouble including last minute program changes. The staff were always smiling and helpful but unobtrusive, organisation brilliant and food and wine wonderful. The AV company the Royce sub - contracted to help us were superb and co-operated well with the hotel to deliver exactly what we needed with high speed WiFi to enable high resolution medical images to be reviewed during the course. I can strongly recommend the Royce as an ideal choice if you are thinking of running a meeting of this size. Although on St.Kilda Rd (so super convenient) the hotel is very quiet. The Botanic Gardens / Shrine of Remembrance precinct is also a big plus and was commented upon repeatedly by our interstate and international attendees. I had unexpected rave reviews about the outstanding mattresses in the guest rooms - possibly in part a commentary on how tired everyone is (!!!) and what a delight it was to get away for a couple of days to such a beautiful place, even if they had to come to a meeting to do it!

A friend lives across the road from the refurbished Royce so we decided to visit the Showroom Bar for drinks and dinner. The staff were lovely, accommodating without being overpowering. I wish I could say the same about the menu. Wine list was minimal, bit quite overpriced for the offerings. Happy to pay for better quality. The food menu was likewise quite spartan with too much emphasis on unusual/rare ingredients. Little attention to the important components of a good dining experience. Bread should not be a line on the menu, it should always be complimentary, charcuterie should not be 3 meats and a tablespoon's worth of pickled carrot and cauliflower on a white plate, oysters should come in half dozen's not individual with a minimum of 3 and you only get one garnish choice. The steak's are very good though, no fault can be laid there. I look forward to going back once they've worked out just what sort of establishment they wish to be because the architecture is sublime.

I visited the showroom bar on Saturday evening for a friends birthday- The venue is great and stylish- I am however leaving this review as the hostess that took care of us was unbelievable ! She was extreamly well presented, friendly & professional, totally made our experiance ! If only all venues had staff like this! I hope this reaches her & she’s recognised for the phenomenal service she provides! Definatly will be back & highly recommend :-)

We had our engagement party here and Laura the events coordinator was incredibly organised and attentive, and the venue and staff were fantastic. Could not recommend it more highly. Thank you for looking after us so well and looking forward to visiting again soon.

Only stayed there for a meal and drinks. But everything was smart and up market. Hard to get to because of the temporary Grand Prix traffic diversions. They are gone now. I used to park my car in the reception area before it was a hotel. !!.

Absolutely beautiful. I can’t think of anywhere I’ve been in a while that is this visually gorgeous, great atmosphere, music with such friendly staff. Oh and of course fab cocktails!

Lovely vibe and friendly staff. Unfortunately the breakfast menu left us wanting. The eggs Atlantic was passable, but uninspired. The "buttermilk pancakes" were very disappointing. I'm sure the rest of the facilities are wonderful, but it's really not the place to go for breakfast.
