wait up in the line for 1.5hrs, finally seated. The waitress grilled the beef for us, one plate after one, you need to really keep up to her speed. The whole eating process only took us 0.5 hour. It felt like she was pushing us to eat faster. The taste is not bad, but compare to the 1.5hrs waiting time and 0.5hr eating time, I would say go somewhere else.

The Korean bbq restaurant with a huge line outside. The big question is, is it worth it? They don’t accept bookings but instead have a 1.5 hr limit to rotate through customers. Well… they do it because they genuinely are that good.. the food quality is absolutely on point. The absolute go to is their superb wagyu scotch fillet- the tenderness and juiciness is bomb.

This is the best Korean BBQ place I’ve been to in Melbourne. Food is fresh. I have to say I think the main thing that makes the difference is that the staff cook the meat for you- definitely had way over cooked meat at other places if we are doing the cooking 🤦‍♀️ We have usually ordered one of the sets (for 2 or 4 people) when we have gone, plus a few other side dishes like vegetables and japchae or a stew. The corn cheese side is gooooddd so addictive.

I find the best version of it is when the marinade sizzles on the hot stove top, then chars and curls in towards the edges. It doesn't take long to cook because it's so thin, but it comes out soft yet crispy with every bite. Absolutely amazing. Mansae is still my favourite kbbq place in Melbourne CBD. The line is tedious, but the food quality really shines here. The sides are unlimited and refilled by the staff, who also kindly monitor your cooking situation. They're very happy to help out and help cook your meat as well.  🔥 They don't have a good ventilation system, so make sure you're wearing clothes that you're ready to put in the wash afterwards!!

One of the most delicious and amazing Korean restaurant I’ve been to!! Exceptional service, very friendly staff. They came to us several times asking if everything was okay and if we needed more side dishes. Great atmosphere, great food. Variety of side dishes. I really enjoyed the food here. Definitely a spot to try for anyone looking for Korean barbecue. They have good quality meat as well as exceptional service. Would highly recommend the “happiness set” for any parties of 2. It’s a good portion and great value. They have quality side dishes and their drinks are good too. Will definitely come back :)

oh my, they are super busy and having the limited time for BBQ, they don’t take booking, first come first served, luckily the services was pretty quick, high quality food & unlimited side dish, the tofu was the best!! they provide BBQ for you service but we insist to do it ourself~ that is the fun part. isn’t?

You’d have to wait outside for around 30mins but the staff is very efficient and food is on point. We ordered between two people (probably ordered 1-2 dishes too many) - prawns entree - army stew - 1 ox tongue - 1 prime pork belly - 1 beef - mango rice wine Highly recommend the food. Even the kimchi side dish was one of the best I’ve had 😊

Decent place for kbbq, the meat was tender and the side dishes were alright. Corn cheese was a bit runny but does stick less to the hot plate. Service was quite efficient despite being crowded.

Always a good time here! Queue usually starts around 530pm so go early if you’ll like to avoid waiting - we got the Premium Set with 5 different versions of beef and pork. In the side we too ordered the wagyu short rib and kimchi pancake!!! Can I just say this is the best place to eat “ban chan” side dishes??? They’re so generous with the refills 😭

One of the best KBBQs I’ve ever been to! The meat quality is on another level and their other dishes were 10/10 too. The service was friendly and efficient. Only let down was we had a few issues with our grill however they resolved it very fast. I would definitely come back.

My all time favourite KBBQ. Quality of meat and the flavour is divine. Free top of sides is a big win for me, especially when the sides are just as good as the mains. Pasta salad 👌🏽 Staff are so friendly and attentive, environment is always lively!

Absolutely CRACKIN ! Best BBQ in Melbourne CBD. My group got there pretty early and luckily we only waited for 15 minutes to get a table before the rush. Service was incredible, they really paid attention to the tables and especially always for refills of the sides. We had the butcher feast set for $210 between 4ppl and let me tell you that was one of the most fulfilling meal I have ever had. There was a lot of premium meats that was delicious ! We also ordered kimchi neon, beef tartare and egg soufflé and that was CRACKIN ! Definitely recommend coming on a empty cause you are definitely gonna be in a food coma afterwards. Worth the hype and wait for this restaurant. It’s also better to go as a group so you get more variety !!

Went on Sunday night around 6pm, there was already a line formed as they do not take bookings and we waited for about 30mins, the line moved progressively fast and we could have been seated sooner as there were seats available outside but we preferred to be seated inside. But it was absolutely worth the wait! Staff are super attentive, wagyu platter for two was 10/10 and side dishes were also really good, Would definitely come here again!!

The food is exquisite. They offer a variety of accompaniments, all delicious. The service is very good. We had to wait in line for approximately 30 minutes. It was a pleasant experience.

Mansae just bring you the joyful Korean BBQ with a la cart menu including their yummy dishes and drink to celebrate any day of the week. Staff was so nice n give us the best table service ever.

The food here is amazing and beef tartare is a must try. The staffs are very friendly and the service is very quick. However, the wait time can be quite long during peak hours so I'd recommend you to come a bit earlier than usual meal time. We were quite lucky that we got a table within 10 minutes because there was a table outside and no one wanted to take it.

We ordered the HAPPINESS SET (Wagyu Beef Set) AUD105 - good for 2 ppl. Set comes with Wagyu Scoth Fillet, Wagyu Rib Finger, Wagyu Beef Belly, Prime Pork Belly. All definitely great prime meat cuts! Sides are also unlimited. This set doesn’t come with rice and veggies. You’d have to add AUD3.5 for rice then Mixed Veggie + Mushroom for grilling at AUD15. We were craving for steamed egg so we got that too for AUD16. The wagyu beef set were already a splurge alone so wish it already came with rice + veggies. Overall great dining experience! Would definitely come back maybe twice in a year if I’d be willing to splurge for KBBQ. Do come early to avoid long queue! Got there at 5:45PM still had to wait for about 40 mins! Great views outside though if weather is good!

I barely order delivery food, and this is the second time I ordered from Mansae The beef was raw, and I have to cook again. I understand it might edible but what I ordered was not beef tatare. And also even it was intentionally done, the corner of the beef was still raw.

Really great cuts of meat and quality sides dishes and food. Got the oyster blade, ox tongue, scotch fillet, rib finger, short rib. All of the meat was good but the scotch fillet and oyster blade stood out more. The steamed egg and corn cheese were nice but nothing special, still yum though! The budae jjigae was good too, good serving size. Most staff were AMAZING! great customer service especially from the lady I believe was the manager? Super friendly, helpful and big smile. Came to ask if we needed more sides and sauce when she saw it was empty. Super easy to get staff attention. Highly recommend. You can't book and have to wait in a line, I waited around 40min when I came at 6.30 but definitely worth the wait!!

Absolutely one of my favorite Korean BBQ spots! The quality of the meat is top-notch. Just a little tip, you will become smoky favor after your meal, so it's probably best to skip the shower before you go. Highly recommended

Super busy and bustling Korean BBQ in the heart of the CBD. Be warned that they don’t take bookings so you can wait upwards of an hour for a table. More on the expensive side of things, lots of premium wagyu options if that’s what you’re after and yummy unlimited banchan. Overall enjoyed the dinner, food was delicious but there’s definitely a sense of urgency while eating and it can get very loud in there as well.

Arrived super hungry, we basically inhaled everything and forgot to take photos of the food! Anyway we left the restaurant satisfied 😋 Pro: A bit on the pricey side for Korean bbq but worth it 😌 the staffs were very accommodating; they grilled the meat for us and asked us whether we wanted more side dishes! Con: it’s extremely stuffy inside, my hair and clothes smelled awful afterward😩😩, -1star

Really nice shop That day was raining really heavy and me and my niece and mum are waiting car to pick up, they allow us to sit inside the shop, was so nice~ Some suggestions! The lady who served us food was really nice, and help us to cook meat, but when she serve the steamed egg thing (the really hot one) she serve over the baby carriage, so it was really risky and scary haha😅. But I know she is nice but just not that cautious as baby do not usually appear in this place. Food is good! Service can be better, people are nice and if I avoid the peak time would be better (I waited for 1.5h for table of 6).

Food quality is really good, a lot of people waiting in line for the kbbq but this place is understaffed which means it can be a little hectic. The meats are very good quality and the cuts of beef was very tender. The pork when cooked was crispy and juicy. The side dishes were highlights as they are flavourful and very much reminds me of Korea. The drinks are also excellent with a very fun korean twist and can go down very easily given the alcohol content! Service on the other hand is very hectic as the place is filled with patrons. The servers have to serve and also cut the meats after they are cooked. Given the workload it's easy to see how they can be overwhelmed sometimes. I would recommend this place if you don't mind waiting an hour and you enjoy kbbq in the city. I would go back again.
