I am absolutely disgusted at the Victorian health ministers comments. This doctor has done absolutely nothing wrong. Coming back from USA is not a high risk country and if every doctor in this country stayed home for 14 days due to a runny nose, the health system would be shut down in a week. He should be celebrated as a hard working GP who could not wait to get back to his regular patients who need him, but who has been an unlucky recipient of media backlash and been thrown under the bus by the health minister.

When a doctor: - is not unwell - has a runny nose - does not meet any criteria for screening or testing - has not come from a high risk country (at the time) The public excoriation and breach of confidentiality by an unqualified politician is a disgrace. Hopefully both clinic and GP will recover fully and continue to provide care to their valued patients. Good luck and thank you for your service

This is by far the best clinic in Melbourne. Staffed only by senior doctors that care and listen to the needs of customers. My family especially values the fact that one member of your team is rostered on each Sunday morning. Thank you, our family is most grateful for the many years of wonderful support. 100% support all the GPs and staff at this clinic. None of them would deliberately put their patients at risk. Please know that the GP community support you all at this time. Hope Dr Higgins gets well and back to caring for his patients soon.

Dr Higgins did not meet the self quarantine criteria as published by our own Australian guidelines. I trust he has served his community faithfully throughout his medical career. I wish him a speedy recovery.

We are aware of the facts and refuse to let the mainstream media and reckless political posturing (I mean by you Jenny Mikakos) undermine the provision of quality medical care. Dr Higgins followed the guidelines that were in place and getting himself tested was in fact above and beyond (he did not 'qualify' for testing under state government recommendations).

Get well soon Dr Higgins! Hope you get the long overdue apology from health minister soon. Meanwhile, please don't let the thoughtless comments affect you. We, fellow doctors stand by you. Dr Trina Rowland is easily the best dr i have ever had. Period! I can not speak highly enough of Dr Rowland’s care, professionalism and general manner. Can not recommend highly enough

I have been a patient of this clinic for many years. I became the patient of the practices new Doctor, Josh Taylor on the advice of my current doctor at the time. This was due to my age medical complexities, and my current doctor was wanting to work less days. He thought Josh and I would be a good fit I believe. He was correct. How fortunate I have been becoming a patient of Josh. Since I first met him six months ago, he has totally revolutionized me. I am returning back to the way I felt twenty years ago. I can now walk again correctly have my heart failure and diabetes and all my many other medical problems under control. He has a sense of humor smiles is clever and presents himself with a style that gives me a lift which I require. I consider myself to be very fortunate to have him as my doctor. I can discuss anything with him and as time goes on not only will he continue to be my doctor but a friend. He has been my inspiration and enabled me to turn the corner thank goodness. If I had another year like the last 12, I would have gone mad. Thank you Josh you been the high light of this year and the last ten. I had forgotten what it was like to feel well and on top of life. You're a star.

Dr. Neil and Dr. Rowan are the best GPs i have ever seen in Melbourne. Dr. Neil is very compassionate and professional, whilst Dr. Roman has a open-minded and funny personality - communicating with him has been a pleasant and comfortable experience. I would highly recommend these two Doctors at Toorak Clinic.

Those of you who have posted one star reviews here for such ignorant reasons should be ashamed of yourselves. Here is a diligent conscientious 70 year old GP working hard to help people, who has not knowingly or recklessly endangered others. He was just very unlucky. Read the other educated informed comments here, admit you are wrong, and do the right thing by removing your one star reviews.

All the doctors always have your back. I had Dr. Amanda for my appointment and she was great. She is very knowledgeable , engaging and inherits a very strong sense of humour. But what’s best of all is the waiting times aren’t that long. You only have to sign in and wait for <10 mins and your doctor will be ready.

Dr Trina is the nicest doctor. Very friendly and caring. If you need a good GP then she is the one you should see. The Toorak Clinic has very good doctors.

I have mixed feelings about my experience at this clinic. The doctor was attentive and tried to diagnose the problem, however, he had no idea what it could be. he tried to get a second opinion but to no avail. In the end he wrote me a referral to see a dermatologist. When I received the consultation fee it was $120 for a referral to a dermatologist. I’m not sure how I feel about that. I left the clinic no wiser. The dr didn’t offer any other suggestions at all. Upon some research at home I decided to start the self diagnosis journey with a podiatrist appointment first ( much cheaper option to kick off an unknown process ) and then if that’s not the solution then the next step is to see a dermatologist ( more expensive) Health care is expensive and for some of us it hurts to pay $120 and get no advice & support only a referral.

Fantastic clinic, great doctors, good service, never had to wait. I'll don't care what some hack government minister thinks!

Mixed feelings about my experience with this office. The dr was efficient, straight to the point and was able to immediately diagnose me and offer treatment options, that’s what they’re there for, appreciated the quality in that. My interaction however was just uncomfortable to say the least. The dr consistently cut me off, questioned my own symptoms when I explained them, held a finger up to silence me in the middle of talking after answering the phone in the middle of the appointment, left to move his car in the middle of diagnosing me (which normally wouldn’t bother me because I work in an office with limited parking too, but at this point I was already irritated with his lack of sensibility) and started talking about all the possibilities of what could go wrong with my symptoms before even telling me what was going on with my health, to the point I had to cut him off and ask him to tell me what was even going on. I felt very talked down to, maybe the term “mansplaining” would be appropriate for this encounter. Anyways, horrible vibe and unpleasant bedside manner on the drs part. He wasn’t necessarily unkind but he definitely gave me a vibe of self importance about him. Anyways, I went home and tried old school remedies that he did not recommend, and fixed the problem by the end of the night. If you come here, expect medical treatment but no courtesy beyond that.

I wish Dr Higgins a speedy recovery and he is owed an apology from the health minister and all those blaming him - I agree with comments here that he has gone above and beyond to look after himself and his community. The health service would not function if all workers stayed away with a mild cold. From the information available he would have been turned away from the department of health advice service advising he was low risk and did not need a test.

Please know that all the medical community are behind you. Know that the health minister's comments were totally unacceptable - you were following the health advice given at the time. We appreciate all the sacrifices you have made to look after the sick and vulnerable in your community. Australia needs more people like you. Hope you recover quickly and are being looked after by caring kind people like yourself.
