A great place for breakfast. We were staying locally, in an AirBNB and called in here. Very good eggs benedict and a good porridge. Fast service. Good coffee. What more could you ask for? Highly recommended.

Breakfast was busy (as probably are other times as well). Classical St Kilda. Good food at good prices. Coffee was excellent. Seating inside or out. Pet friendly.

Great brunch spot. The only thing is the hash browns are sweet potato and I’m not a fan. Everything else is perfect.

This funky cafe is located on Carlisle st up the st kilda end, it has good friend staff, there is always a waiting line on weekends however it moves fast, and the food does not lose its quality! Such great value for money. The food is amazing and the coffee is great Too!

I would usually recommend people to go here as one of Melbourne's best cafe experiences. Not anymore though. I have been a patron for many years, always visiting when I am in Melbourne and was more frequent when I was living locally. Today however I walked out with a taste of yuk in mouth. The service was bad really bad a lot of attitude the staff. My partner and I had the meatballs for breakfast there was barely a teaspoon of sauce and the meatballs were dry and the whole meal was just bland and tasteless just overall very bland. My fresh juice was basically just a highball glass full of more ice than juice. I had maybe 3 sips and I was down to just froth and ice. I guess it's time to look for another great Melbourne experience cafe as this place has lost all of its taste and luster. Response from the owners has been nothing!!! So rude if you're in the local area try anywhere but here. My experience was dreadful. Don't eat at this cafe it's utter garbage. Also if you are disabled please avoid this venue they have no respect for anyone disabled. My partner is heavily disabled after a car accident and the staff were beyond horrific towards him. Yes I am still waiting for a response from the owners .

Excellent food and Bloody Mary’s. Typical for Melbourne brunch culture. Make sure you go early because the place was packed. Great service and food. And the prices were reasonable. Certainly worth checking out.

By far the best cafe in St Kilda. Such friendly, accommodating staff who treat every customer with 5 star, quick service no matter how busy they are. It is very clear that the owners care very about their staff and patrons; couldn't recommend anywhere better for breakfast / lunch / takeaway coffee!

Popular breakfast place specially during weekends. Buzzing with chatter in live makes this cafe full of character. Indoor and outdoor available.

Down to earth cafe serving home style food. I like this place because it’s not too trendy not too pretentious - it feels very comfortable yet is still quality. My favourite dish is the sweet potato and feta fritter, which comes with a tall pile of spinach and a poached egg.

Tried this place because it was around the corner from my hostel, and I ended up going every day I was in town! Great coffee and delicious food- I tried the savory scone, the apple muffin, and a special porridge, and all were amazing! Staff were all extremely friendly as well, and they did great managing busy mornings.

Lovely spot for breakfast. The food was delicious, plenty of options to personalise your dish. Eggs Benny had perfectly poached eggs and crispy bacon. The French toast had some innovative flavours including ricotta, lemon cream and pistachio praline. Staff are okay but you can tell they are under the pump- no time for pleasantries or to stop and answer a quick question (like where to queue for a table!). Little ordering mistakes like coffee came out quickly but they forgot my tea - had to ask for it again twice. Overall though a pleasant experience and great food.

Walking into this cafe, it’s like stepping into the 90s, it gives you vintage vibes, from the tables to the atmosphere I really like it. It brings up so much memories how we use to live in the 90s. Food- we got the big breakfast for $20 what can I say just absolutely superb. Good portion also the coffee was just spot on. Highly recommended for brunch lovers. Also the staff here are very friendly. Well done Galleon Cafe.

With 600 plus reviews and 4 stars plus, it got the better of me to see what the hype was about at The Galleon Coffee. Not to be disappointed a line up to get in is a great indication that this is the spot. We were seated, ordered and service was prompt. Awesome coffee amazing food and very good customer service. atmosphere was great and seated outside we could people watch and enjoy the views of trams to. If you’re in the area it’s a must stop!

Love this place for a good feed that’s affordable and tasty. It’s like walking into a humble, homely sitcom. Everyone seems to be kind and bubbly, customers and wait staff alike. The coffee is yummy, the breakfast is bang for buck and tasty. The service is real and chill as well as cheerful, and the decor makes you want to stay the whole day and read a paper or just watch the world go by. Great playlists too.

Great cafe. Used to go there years ago and revisited recently. Waiters so helpful and nice and food excellent. When a place brings out a full bottle of maple syrup for your pancakes you just know things are good.

There's nothing I don't love about this place, from their all day breakfast to their prices and friendly staff. I think what keeps me coming back is that they cater for kids exceptionally well, ranging from cereal to bacon and eggs. The prices are very fair and reasonable, they don't over complicate the menu but yet the variety of food caters to everyone's tastes. Centrally located within walking distance to Luna Park or the Sunday markets makes for a great start to your Saturday or Sunday morning.

Here staying from England and this place is pure class. Such quick service and the food is so good for the price. Proper fresh ingredients. Would 100% recommend.

Food is delicious, coffee is great. Most importantly there's not so much of tourists here, mostly locals in the morning which you can feel like an authentic local café.

This cafe was amazing. Lots of yummy food and drinks. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The truffled eggs and Virgin Mary were a hit as was the coffee, served in glass tumblers. We will return when in St Kilda again. Thank you 🙏

Love this cute, vintage spot. Good vibes, friendly staff, nice variety of food options, and quick service. I particularly enjoyed the sweet potato hash with a poached egg and cappuccino. My husband had the Eggs Benedict. We’ve already been back several times. Definitely give it a try if you’re in St. Kilda.

The Galleon is a St Kilda institution! It has a fantastic vibe, the crew are fantastic and the coffee and food is brilliant. The special Saganaki was sublime. Thanks folks

Lovely cosy mismatched furniture Cafe. Seating is made up of booths and table/chairs. Homey vibes. Delicious foods topped off with a $5 mimosa. Friendly customer service. Just a great little place to have a meal or snack to catch up with friends or loved ones.

Galleon burger with egg: one of the best burgers I have ever had. Chips crispy and hot. Service from Callum was friendly, polite, unobtrusive and fast. Very happy with our experience today.

The Cafe was really busy when we visited for breakfast with only one spare table. Despite this, the food was excellent, very little wait and service was fast and great. Coffee was great and juice very fresh. Highly recommend.

Breakfast at Galleon was incredible! Warm, quick service and really nice vibe. We ordered the banana praline pancakes, smoked salmon bagel and big breakfast. The bagel is good, but the big breakfast and pancakes were outstanding — better than anything we tried in Melbourne CBD. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

Bang out of the gate this place rocks a mean French Toast with lashings of trimmings - I'm talking praline, ricotta, fresh banana. Soy latte's my caffeine of choice and it's top notch. I chow down here regularly when I'm in Melbourne for work. Even a simple porridge is first rate and made with a twist. The vegetarian and vegan choices are great too. Staff are on their feet on the case - friendly even through the masks!. Love it.

This bustling spot serves a big range of standard cafe fares and caters well to herbivores and omnivores alike. The "Bubble 'n Squeak" has vegetarian and non-vegetarian versions, with the latter adding a mini pork sausage for an extra $1. The result was a generous serve of comforting, satisfying and quite delicious blend piled high on a piece of multigrain toast. The mismatched furniture adds to the casual, retro charm of this place. Service was perfunctory but adequate. Overall, a good experience but probably not memorable against the hundreds of places I've experimented with.
