Great location, nice interiors, AWFUL customer service. During my stay, I stepped on a rogue piece of metal (maybe a nail or a needle) in my hotel room and it pierced my big toe. I took it out of the carpet, complained and showed it to the staff on duty but was met with lack of concern/sympathy. Didn’t want to make a big deal, I simply asked him to get the cleaners to run the vacuum again. A few days later, the wound got worse and I alerted 2 other staff members, hoping to get assistance in booking a local GP. One forgot to get back to me and the other told me I should look online by myself. After multiple trips to the GP over the next few weeks (which I organised myself), I found that there was a 1cm piece of metal embedded in my toe. Sent the hotel an email with the x-ray image and details of what’s happened to highlight their need to do better to avoid future incidents. Rob from Guest Services responded with a defensive email about how they already follow a “detailed cleaning procedure”. Didn’t apologise, no accountability whatsoever. In the end I had to get surgery to take the piece of metal out. Grateful it was me and not my 2yo son who was travelling with us. Would likely have sued if it had been him.

Had a 1 bed apartment and stayed for 2 nights ok a business trip. Rooms were great and had everything you'd need for a longer stay. Comfy beds and couches and nice size shower. Not a great place if you're a light sleeper. You might get an ambulance to the hospital early in the morning if you're unlucky but otherwise really enjoyed

We chose to stay here because of the close vicinity to Epworth Richmond hospital as my husband was having surgery there. The location is fantastic, not only next door to the hospital but a short walk down Bridge rd and you will find all the shops and eateries you will need. The apartment amenities are great and the room was clean and modern. The first night we were at the back of the hotel and it was mainly peaceful, sadly, as mentioned in other reviews, hospital staff seem to use an area out there for breaks and were literally shouting at all hours of the night. We mentioned to the reception staff who were most apologetic and offered to move us to a different room at the front of the hotel, very kind of them. Sadly the rooms at the front of the building are even worse for noise. The road noise is continuous through the night with trams rumbling past, noisy people outside and some inconsiderate other guests. Our priority was the vicinity to the hospital and it really ticked that box. I understand the management have been trying to work with the hospital to ask them not to use the street between as a break room and it's really inconsiderate of staff to make such a racket at all hours, but if it's a known problem and the hospital are not responding, something else should be done. The sound proofing really needs to be upgraded to eliminate road noise and then the staff being noisy also won't be an issue. I honestly wouldn't chose to stay here for a holiday simply due to the noise. A real shame as the close vicinity to the MCG was great and the area was great to explore between hospital visits.

Great location; Rob and staff friendly and helpful; facilities more than adequate/the self service cupboards that they have set up are fabulous and ensures you have everything you need any time of the day or night/cafe downstairs makes a great hot drink and the sandwiches are fabulous. 100% will stay again. thanks Rob Florence and Felicity

Great location next to the Epworth. No parking on site but can park in the hospital carpark. Has everything you could need in the apartment and a Cafe downstairs. Really easy check in and check out process as well.

Reception hours are 8am-4pm and you must provide exactly when you'll be there. Reception isn't manned between these hours all the time either and then you're stuck because you can't phone anyone when waiting to check in - very frustrating and inflexible. The rooms are great once you can check in !

This is my new FAVOURITE hotel! I'm hesitant to even share it with people as I'd like to keep it for myself haha! The room feels like home and was IMMACULATELY clean! The staff are so kind. The view from the room and the sunset were so nice. Honestly, I'd move in if I could! - Noli

Very quiet location to stay in and it's conviniently placed right next to the Epworth Hospital which made it easy for me to go see my partner during visitor hours. The rooms are very modern, squeeky clean top to bottom, the bed is very comfortable and the staff is very friendly.

I highly recommend this place! They were very helpful and friendly and allowed us a late check out as it wasn't a very busy day for check ins. Also allowed an earlier check in as well. Many thanks, we will be back!

Staff were extremely friendly, great location, bed was very comfortable and shower was nice and big and bathroom not a bad size. The location was so close to lovely cafe’s, restaurants and a nice pub as well as the tram.

I paid extra for a "city view" room and got a room overlooking Bridge Road and some Richmond rooftops which was disappointing. There were no staff to speak to as the Lanbruk runs without staff outside Mon-Fri 9-5. I checked in at the start of a long weekend and only saw a staff member when I checked out, by which time my Karen-ish urge to complain about the room had evaporated. It was noisy and sleeping with the window open wasn't an option. The curtains are sheer and don't block out light or noise. The room itself was relatively spacious, clean and resembled a set from Gattaca. The rooms are only made up once a week.

I asked for a quiet room but it was still really noisy all night long from the hospital deliveries. There was also a problem with the door card reader where it would beep 4 times every 90 seconds and wouldn’t stop. I read someone else had this problem on air bnb so obviously they haven’t fixed it and it’s not just one room. Got very little sleep. The perfume smell in the room from the cleaning was so strong and couldn’t be removed by opening windows/turning on the ac. They were nice enough to offer a refund/upgrade for the remaining night but so glad I left. The location is great though and there was plenty of parking available a short walk away.

Location excellent as partner was inpatient at Epworth hospital? Great room layout, nice and clean, staff friendly and helpful. Unfortunately our room 106 backed on to the loading bay of next door hospital and we had noise all night for both nights- clanging, banging,talking- sadly we did not get much sleep. Not sure if the rooms on higher floors may have been less noisy. Otherwise would have given 5 star rating.

Really nice place to stay, close to everything you need! We walked to the cricket at the MCG. The room was absolutely gorgeous, pristine and really clean! The only thing I could fault is, there isn’t any real curtain, just the see-through type which lets a lot of light in, in the early morning and throughout the night. Other then that, we loved it.

Had a lovely stay at the Lanbruk. A wonderful place to recover from surgery, with Netflix, a hand held shower, and a quiet room at the back of the building as I had requested. My one bedroom apartment exceeded my expectations. Being right near a hospital gave me peace of mind in case there were complications with my recovery. The staff were wonderful and helped me with everything I needed. A quiet deck on my (5th) floor had beautiful views of Melbourne City which I enjoyed during my restful week. A small convenient grocery store called Otta nearby had everything I needed and Wil in the hotel cafe downstairs makes THE BEST COFFEE. I already miss it. This will be my hotel for choice for Melbourne which I look forward to returning to, hopefully soon, for fun (not surgery).

I stayed at Lanbruk Hotel for an extended period of close to 4 months during the second wave lockdown in Melbourne. The hotel is room well equipped and very comfortable. Rob, the manager, was always hospitable, helpful and overall an amazing host. I would thoroughly recommend a stay at this hotel.

Nice little apartments in the middle of Richmond. Very quiet rooms, basic but modern and well done. Good if you just want a room for the night. No parking on site which is inconvenient.
