We visited the Karjat one! Overall a splendid experience but I’d like to give a detailed review so it helps others. Firstly, the google map link is wrong, so make sure you get the correct link from the booking in-charge. I travelled for an extra one hour because I followed the google map link. We stayed in the forest cabin as the idea of sharing bathrooms wasn’t too pleasing to me. The forest cabins are excellent and very clean and hygienic, however I do feel they could’ve have been a little more price friendly especially since it wasn’t a Friday or Saturday night. It’s genuinely quite high priced. Electricity went but generator is there. Water didn’t come for a while but it was resolved quickly. Geezer isn’t very efficient, so don’t expect extremely consistent hot water. While kayaking is sold as an included feature, there are just 3 kayaks so you really have to wait for your turn or go the next morning if there’s too many people. The food was excellent, felt like home food and served with warmth and love! Sabir was very friendly and welcoming, and always available to solve any issues. There are mosquitoes in the evening so make sure you have Odomos. If you have your own car, make sure you make the 30 minute trip to Saltt for dinner (if you’re staying for 2 nights, it’s worth it). Otherwise, this place has movie night to offer. Ironically, the hammocks weren’t the most comfortable, although everything else was! All in all, despite some of the slight negatives I’ve mentioned, I didn’t feel it deserves a star less, it’s still a 5 star for me. Looking forward to revisiting once in a Saturday night to experience the band!

Moonstone hammock is hidden gem. The place is awesome. So perfectly maintained. The entire staff (including the boatman don't remember his name 😀) was super friendly and helpful. I was with my kid. The staff made sure that my kid gets food and other requirements on time. The tents were so clean and properly sanitized. Each and every part of the place was soo good. The activities were arranged so well. The late night movie was full of fun. The chef did so well with food. The food was homely and delicious. Looking forward to visit the place again with friends. 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Really Bad experience......we had done booking for one night. The last 6 Km to the resort is really bad. Just 300 mts from the resort our car got stuck on the only access road to the resort. After a lot of effort we were able to reverse the car. When we called the resort the manager who was very unprofessional shows up with 2 friends and asks his friend to try to drive over the pothole . The car again got stuck and we had to push it out again. When we told the resort is inaccessible to the owner who is also very rude told us the road is not his responsibility. As there was no way our cars could reach the resort we turned back home. The resort people are thieves and are not ready to refund us not give us credit for the future. With this attitude I would not recommend anyone to visit them.

Went for a post birthday trip to Moonstone Hammock. Stayed at the Forest Cabin, was clean and hygienic and a unique stay. The road is inside though for another 10 mins by any vehicle post the map location. No much crowd as went during monsoon so no waiting for Kayaking. The guy there was nice and friendly. Nice and pleasant property. They have a common fridge in the cafe available to use. Place has nice vibes and a pool available too Since it was a weekday, we had movie night, but soon that changed into Karaoke nights, which was the most fun part, along with the dancing! Sabeer was very attentive of how to keep everyone comfortable and having fun. And also Sarvesh, a very polite and good host! Overall a good experience . Good for a day trip or small celebration . Do visit! -

After seeing so many positive reviews about this place, and desperately wanting a small break from thinking about corona, we finally decided to make this one day trip here. This place is awesome and quite literally a blissful resort... The location of the place is really good... Nature... Serenity and Peace.. 💕💕💕 The amenities provided are good. Staff is very accommodating, humble and helpful. Everything is well managed by Mr. Sabir &team. Food is also good with limited menu. We suggest to add atleast one starter for dinner. Best part about our trip was live band performance by Amarsingh Meena.. Overall, a Gr8 trip and experience... I strongly recommend this place for a short and peaceful trip from Pune/Mumbai ❤️❤️❤️

An amazing glamping experience at moonstone hammock, karjat. Its a large area with beautiful scenic view all around. One can definitely visit to spend quality time with your close ones amidst nature. The stay was totally worthwhile. Also there are many activities like kayaking, rope climbing, etc, which closes in the evening around 6pm so do visit early to experience those. The charges are including hi-tea, dinner and next day morning breakfast, and i must say i was really impressed with the taste and quality of the food provided. Also there is a swimming pool inside the premises for which the closing time is 10pm, so donot forget to carry extra clothes. For weekdays you can enjoy movie under the stars and for weekends there is live music by the pool. The host Mr. Sabir is really very co-operative. You can definitely contact him if you have any doubts. Overall best camping experience!! Would love to visit again. How to reach: The nearest local station is the Shelu station, and there are many autos outside the station which charges ₹100 and will leave you to your exact location. Also while returning there are phone numbers of auto drivers at the premises, so you can contact them.

This place was on my bucket list from a long time. Beautiful place tucked away in the midst of lush green trees and very close to the lake. Very well managed stay options, clean facilities and great food. You can visit the place easily by train rather than road. If you can get down at Shelu station on central railway line and just 15-20 minutes’ walk from station or you can hire auto. The place is very pretty and scenic. We have stayed here at Forest cabin. The temperature was definitely a few degrees lower than that of Bombay, so it's a nice weekend getaway. The place is lit all around, they have a live music which is so lit and singer is so awesome that it makes the whole stay vibrant. (Live music is available only on Saturday, so you must plan on Saturday only) Also, they do have movie under the stars on weekends. The place is beautifully lit at evening and they have a born fire place is superb much better than other campsites. It also has great indoor and outdoor games so you don't miss out on any fun activities. High tea and morning breakfast is delicious and also quality is great. Dinner was nicely arranged for a candle light dinner set up. (On a special recommendation) Here, you can carry your own booze. They serve only beer in booze. Definitely recommended!

The best camping experience you'll ever get to experience in the state of Maharashtra. Top quality food, friendly and helpful staff, cooperative super host Sabir, beautiful ambience and vibe. Fun movie nights and karaoke on weekdays, warm bonfire at nights to end the day on a good note. Super exciting and engaging live music band on Saturdays make the perfect weekend getaway. Doing kayaking for the first time, it's was a very beautiful experience. They also have indoor and outdoor games to keep you engaged during the day, a cute lil swimming pool to wash away all the miseries, luxurious tents for a cozy stay away from the hustle bustle of Mumbai. We stayed for 3 nights during end Oct 2023. The riverside location is exotic. One wakes up to the serenity and freshness and the day is made then and there. However, frequent power cuts during the day are a norm and will ruin the experience if one plans on whiling away the afternoon at the camp itself. The generator for backup supply also packed up during our stay and required one full day of maintenance to be back on line. Saturday night was rendered memorable by the amazing band performance (however no performance was arranged for on Sunday since there were only 04 people left at the camp; lesson- Band is subject to tourist traffic). Food was fresh. There is however an immense scope of improvement in the maintenance of the tents and shanties. It is good to preserve the essence of camping but given the price of the stay, the interiors and bathroom fittings need refurbishment. The supervisor named Sabeer is enthusiastic and dedicated to his job. He kept us comfortable throughout our stay.

We had an amazing day here at a very beautiful place and with very beautiful services offered by Mr. Shabbir and his team. The food was so tasty, the activities and the guides were so helpful. Definitely a value for money deal!

What an amazing experience it was! Our stay was made extra comfortable by the host. Food was homely and delicious. Also, the chef did so well with such variety of dishes. The cabin where we stayed was pretty, well thought in terms of plug points and the furniture. There are so many activities to keep you engaged during your staycation. We really enjoyed adventurous activities like riffle shooting and zip lining. The way to reach this place is a bit tricky due to bad road conditions in the village. But once you reach, the view is worth it. Already looking forward to visit again. Thank you for the lovely experience 😃

Had a lovely time with my wife and son here..the location is perfect with a river flowing bisides the property and trees all over. There is a swimming pool in the center of the property they have a few fun adventure activities like archery and rifle shooting which we all enjoyed and some activities for kids like zip line and rope bridge crossing that were fun. There was kayaking as well but we didn't want to leave the pool so we couldn't do that..the evening activities were great with the host starting up up with the karaoke with some great renditions of all time favorite songs and helping set the mood for the others to jump in and sing their hearts out..movie night was a real thrill the setting and the lighting just make it perfect for an evening with friends and family the food was great and they allow BYOB so it was fun!

Recently visited this absolutely gorgeous Glamping property nestled in nature, Moonstone Hammock in Karjat. Everything about moonstone hammock is praise worthy, location, food, rooms, hygiene and hospitality. I mean you can view river flowing from bed, absolutely stunning. They have different stay options like forest cabin, luxury tent, regular tent, etc. Check their website and book as per your preference. I stayed in Forest Cabin which can accommodate 4 people. Loved every bit of my stay. Did kayaking and witness one of the most magical sunsets. They have movie night, where one can watch movie under the sky. They also have live singing sessions on weekends and different gaming activities. I absolutely loved this unique property and highly recommend Moonstone Hammock for staycation.

Moonstone Hammock in Karjat is undoubtedly the best camping 🏕 experience we've had till date. From the moment we arrived we were glued to the action and activities. The warm hospitality of their staff like Sabeer, Kayak handler, food serving guys, activity conducting guy made us comfortable and enhanced the overall camping experience. The entire place was very rustic yet clean and all the meals were very yummy ☺️ Swing next to the lake was simply superb. Pls increase the height and make it like a sky swing, we don't have a good one in Maharashtra. It's the most trending thing. Live band @theunionrhapsody was too good. Went as a solo traveller for the weekend and I must say, I absolutely enjoyed my first ever camping experience. Sabir was super sweet and made sure I got all the comfort possible. The hunters nest is comfortable and the forest cabin is super snug. The ground tent was good too. Just wish the washrooms were cleaner. Went for an amazing trek to Kondana Caves with Mohsin from A plus adventures and it was absolutely worth it. I recommend that to everyone. The waterfall is spectacular. Thank you everyone for the hospitality 🙂

We had spent 2 nights at Moonstone Hammock Karjat and I must say we had an amazing experience. From service to property to food, top notch. The staff there especially is really helpful and caring, you ask and they provide that. I think food and service was the best that we experienced in recent times. Pawan and Sabeer and the whole staff were really great.

#Karjat @moonstonehammockofficial welcomed a pleasant vibe as clouds floated in the air, drenching the location with greenery and fun. Weekend with friends. Personally I felt that the cabins available were cozy. Tents are ok but are NOT recommended, as washrooms are outside. In terms of pricing, the rate was unreasonably high as there food provided was not good. The cleanliness was also not maintained for the price charged since there was COCKROACHES in the room and SPIDERS in washroom. Overall it was a good experience since kids enjoyed doing activities, live music and stand up comedy was too good but there were many things that were overlooked by the hotel staff. Cleanliness 2/5 Food 3/5 Service 3/5

Amazing getaway in the beautiful hidden gem called Karjat. Great vibe all around and wonderful hospitality. Would love to visit again during winters and enjoy the activities like kayaking, live band etc. If you want to really enjoy the outdoors without compromising on comfort, this is the place to be.

This is an excellent, well maintained river side property with hospitable staff! Right from the food served, to the Kayaking and the whole vibe of the place, it's really great. It's very accessible by good roads and its also walking distance from Shelu Station (Central Railway). It's a super hygienic place with really good quality food served. Overall, it's budget friendly and I can't wait to visit the property again!

So I went there for a solo trip and stayed at the forest cabin.very comfy,clean and hygienic place. The food was tasted like home and was very tasty. Aziz and armaan are wonderful guys who make sure you are taken care of. They have movie nights , archery etc as a activities It's a great place for couples, small families or even solo travellers looking for peace and quiet with mother nature as company.
