We are currently coming here almost every day. It's by far the best food on Ometepe, die Falafel are outstanding, Tel-Aviv-quality. Everything else they serve (vegan ice cream, bread, cinnamon rolls) is amazing aswell (try the cacao ice cream..WOW!) They have only a few dishes and do them in the highest quality - I LOVE this concept and it works so well! Sometimes the staff seems a bit uninvolved and bored but if you come often enough, they start to appreciate you ;) PS: Everything is vegan which makes this place just the perfect match for me and my boyfriend!

This place is amazing! Small but great menu. The portions are perfect and so yummy. They have great gelato as desert. Try the salty peanut flavor it is delicious! Highly recommend this place

Wow! The most incredible food is served here. It’s a must-go when you’re on Ometeppe Island. I had the babaganoush and my boyfriend had the classic plate and they were both amazing! You get a free drink with this huge plate and it was so good. We also ordered ice cream as a desert, which was so great as well. We are thinking of coming back tomorrow!! 🤪

This was by far the BEST and most authentic pita bread, falafel and hummus I’ve had outside of Israel! Highly recommended if you’re ever in a craving for this kind of food or if your like me a little taste of home.

This place is simple and delivers! Delicious. What really made this plate for me was the homemade sauces, spicy and otherwise… was asking if they were selling any of them by the end of the meal.

We tried the Shakshuka plate and gave it 10/10!! Everything was fresh and delicious. Loved the fact they were still serving a breakfast dish after 12pm. The chocolate roll was also yummy. Beautiful chill place :)

It's a must when in Ometepe. The place is great and the food is amazing. Highly recommend this small place. Free ice tea with the meal 😋.

Best food we ate in Nicaragua. We wish we went earlier so we had time to go again! Must visit!

This place is amazing!! Good, big portions and very good food. I had the shakshuka plate with falafel (full plate was 250C including a drink), I’ve never had a better falafel. Really recommend going here.

Best banana bread I’ve ever had, beautiful atmosphere, tropical and extraordinary drinks as well available. Perfect for either a quick stop for snacks or for a vegan lunch.

Small menu so easy to choose and it was great. We got the falafel plate (classic) for c$250 and it was brilliant. Big portion and very tasty with a drink included in the price. Price compared to other places in the area is cheap.

Not a bad shakshouka but it was quite small and would be better if served in a dish. Great ice cream, I tried the salty peanut.

Absolutely loved the food. I had the babaganush and it tasted fantastic and came with a homemade ice tea. Would recommend anyone to go to this place. It was very quiet when I was there but I didn’t mind that.

I came for my second time to eat at Bustavo after a great first experience, and ordered the Babaganoush as a pita unaware that it was not how it is normally prepared (normally a plate). I misinterpreted the menu, my mistake. The older lady working was surprisingly quite rude to me because of this. I was still unaware I made a special request, and the remaining interactions with her were very negative leaving me confused as to why I was being treated this way. There is no excuse to treat a customer this way due to an honest mistake, and unfortunately this will effect our decision of coming back to Bustavo which is unfortunate, as the food is fantastic!
