THEFT from the HOTEL STAFF: by all means avoid staying there. We stored our luggage in the hotel’s locker room to go on a tour - when we came back, they returned our bags closed with the hotel seal, in which about $2000 of electronics were stolen. The hotel manager admitted that the staff was responsible for the robbery. At this stage, the hotel claims to be looking into compensating us for our lost items. We are to hear back from them and will update our comments accordingly.

The rooms are quite run down with lots of mould in the bathroom sills and rusting shelves etc. they only provided a sheet for the bed, no duvet. When trying to checkout, we waited for ages for someone to be at the desk. There was only one lift working when we were staying, which meant that at peak times it took ages to get up and down, not great for when you’re trying to catch your tour transport! Breakfast was good. Lots of options and fresh fruit. Good location to the square. BEWARE OF THE WATER IN THE FRIDGE - it is not free, and there are no signs indicating that it is not free. Came as a surprise at checkout when they asked if we had drunk the water in the fridge!!!

The location is superb and the rooms are spacious with plenty of charging stations and new AC systems. The bathroom could use a little maintenance, but the space is well-lit. The free breakfast in the morning offers a good amount of options with juices, The in-room Wifi was rather faulty and unstable, but they do have a business center on the first floor where the Wifi is much better.

Located next to downtown, decent rooms and nice view. The staff is super nice, the swimming pool is quite small but that's not why you're going to Manaus. Breakfast is ok, nothing amazing but it's doing the job. They kept our luggage for 10 days during our trip without any problems.

Absolutely worth it for the price compared to other hotels in the area. Clean, comfortable, etc. Staff was friendly and spoke English very well. A couple loud dogs outside at night, but not sure you can get away from that around Manaus.

As a stopover for a night completely fine. Everything is a bit old, but sufficiently maintained. Gigantic rooms and a nice view from above the 7th floor. Short walk from the amazon theater.

Very slow services at their restaurant, if you have a set time you have leave the hotel for a tour, ear somewhere else.

Nice hotel in a very central place in Manaus, with very good value for money. I would normally give it 4 stars because the rooms aren’t that great: there’s often noise in some floors. I requested to move because of a couple in the room near me had loud TV and you could hear it in the entire floor. BUT the kindness of the staff, especially the unbeatable YURI ALVES who helps so much with everything you need — and speaks English (a rare asset in the region) — makes me give it a full 5 stars! Thank you Yuri!!

Good hotel to act as a transit. The hotel is within walking distance of the church and the main square. That was very nice to see.

Nice clean flat style hotel in the historic centre of Manaus. Large modern rooms, great views on town.

Check in is the worst experience I have ever lived in a hotel... The system does not found reservation, you need to wait more than 30 minutes until the system updates.... terrible experience

Good hotel for this price. I've been 2 times. The first time we got a bigger room, I booked for 2 people, and we got a 3-person room with a large bathroom and a balcony. The second time it was normally a 2-person room, with a small bathroom and no balcony. Paradoxically, the smaller room turned out to be more comfortable than the larger one, because there was space for suitcases. Cleanliness ok. Beds comfortable, although the sheets were too small and did not cover the mattresses completely. Air conditioning ok. No possibility to make coffee, tea, no welcomeing free bottle of water. Breakfast included, continental buffet. However, a few products were missing, the juices were of poor quality, and making toast was a miracle. Outside there is an outdoor swimming pool, a small gym and a sauna. The sauna smelled bad - later I found out that the saunas in Manaus have such a smell because of the wood used. The pool is unserviced. There were literally 4 couches next to it, and the rest have to make do with chairs. In the corridors and common areas, the air conditioning seems to work to the max and it's cold, and then you enter the old elevator, where there is no air conditioning - it's easy to catch a cold. For a hotel with a swimming pool in the city center - nice! However, the details mentioned above make me rate it a 4, not a 5.

Great place to stay! The location is the best possible with the main touristy part of town just around the corner. Breakfast was good, rooms were clean and staff was friendly. If I ever find myself back in Manaus I'd stay at the Hotel Saint Paul again.

Only stayed for one night but it was good. The guy at the reception spoke very good English. The room was clean and offering a good view to the city. The breakfast is decent.
