Nice store for cloths, footware, travell trolly, home decoration, gifts and so on.

Ample parking, easy access to store, clean, tidy, everything displayed nicely, great, array of clothing to suit every body children and adults, great staff, first class prices 😊

Looked online at suitcases, showed a special offer, had them in store. Went to the store, paid for car parking, and went in, and found that the cases I wanted were neither in store or on special offer, so came home ordered them, and paid for next day delivery and it was still cheaper than what was on offer in the shop. No wonder shops are closing down, but then this is how big shops are doing business.

A lovely fashion shop that always has everything I'm looking for and more! It is never too busy so the atmosphere is calm and peaceful allowing you to have a relaxing shop. The. Changing rooms are all modern and made to a large friendly size and there is never a queue for them. The staff are so pleasant and will help me with anything and even give honest opinions on clothing for me. Prices are fair and overall it's a well run shop and ideal for all types of people. I love coming here

Twice now I've had issues with the tills at Matalan. One time could only pay cash and the other the electric went off. What is going on?!! Also it's absolutely archaic that the car park is cash only! Upgrade your parking system!

Great store but often doesn’t have all sizes in stock. That includes baby, children’s, men’s and women’s.

Needed some slippers and bath mats so I go here because I can usually find what I want of good quality and reasonable price. Very pleased with my purchases. Well laid out store not cluttered or cramped. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Ok, I feel like the prices have shot up a lot and now it's no longer the a cheaper type store . Their prices are on a par with most of the other shop's these days apart from one , I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels like this!! There's a lot of choice for family and home but it's not my 1st choice like it used to be, which is sad 😔

Who on earth thought it a good idea to move the changing rooms to the front of the store where you get the feeling that you are on full display. Everyone else there at the time was saying much the same,,very uncomfortable,,very bad idea

I called in by chance as what I wanted online was out of stock. I was surprised to find the double bedding set that I was after. I was delighted as when I got to the till instead of being £15 which was half price, it came up as £9. Bargain! The gentleman assistant Ian was great in helping me bundle my purchase into my bag and with his patience. Thanks Ian.

Shopping in Matalan today. Prices are ridiculous. Paying in self-serve is a nightmare no staff to refund £1. Not that bothered about that just the service and shocking prices. I will not be shopping there again. Staff very rude.

Bit of a funny place is matalan though it seams a fair price for goods they can be on the expensive side, if you like matalan you will see there goods have gone up in price, even knowing people cant afford that. Maybe you should look at how other people cant afford your expense, and try helping others ....

A nice well laid out shop with ample parking. Parking only costs one pound which is refundable at the till. There are plenty tills yet there is always a queue, but the queue does move quickly. Good range of products, reasonable cost and staff always seem happy to help.

April 2021 - I appreciate trading conditions are difficult but Matalan have had 12 months to sort out their online retail. I purchased a pair of Jeans. 30 waist/30 leg and paid for postage. 2 days later I purchased another item elsewhere with free postage which arrived within 2 days using the same courier service Matalan use, Hermes. I emailed customer service (as their phone lines are switched off) to ask why I was paying for postage and not getting my goods on time. 5 days later received my jeans. The label on the front of my parcel stated 30 waist 30 leg. So I was shocked to open the parcel and find a pair of 40/30. The label on the jeans clearly states 40 waist/30 leg. I couldn't believe it when I called customer services and would have to pay for returning the jeans though it was their error. on reply the advisor said I would have to wait till stores open and take the matter up with them. Shocking customer service. July 2021 - fool me for trying to purchase online again. This time using click and collect, what could go wrong? 2 shirts ordered for collection 3 days later at store. A week later i received an email to say they had been dispatched and to await a collection email. Days later i emailed customer services to say no email since, and the money had been taken out of my account. They told me deliveries could take upto 14 days. 14 days later i called customer services who advised a credit would be provided 5-7 working days.I suspected they didnt have stock but my shirts are still for sale in my size online but they couldnt provide an answer why I wasnt able to collect from store. As the high street shuts down so will they.

Long queue for people paying cash having only one cash till open and about 6 for card payments very very rude staff when I pointed out that they were being prejudice to cash payers. I will not return to matalan while this segregation is happening

Really good prices and selection of items, bought a really nice suit from there and would shop there again.

Absolute carnage. Sizes on clothes are not the same as the sticker on the hanger. Bought a multi pack of underwear and realised on returning home that instead of three there was only two on the hanger. Staff insistent on self service which is a rubbish system. Double check your clothes size before you leave the store. Apparently when I questioned it staff blamed it on the night shift. Not good enough really!
