It was a bad experience. There is a bad smell in the place. The bathroom and toilet are very small. The Wi-Fi does not work. The management is bad. I do not recommend trying it. It should be closed soon, and I hope so

I would personally like to make a formal complaint for all the individuals which stayed at your ‘hotel’ last night for a number of reasons and concerns. Please see all paragraphs below to understand our disappointment and to picture our stay at this place. Firstly when walking through the entrance we were not greeted in an appropriate manner, while trying to get the information on our rooms and ask questions we were invited into a Facebook video call with 4 other men without our consent, while having to hold heavy cases and travelled 3 hours to stay at your hotel. Secondly we found the rooms, the carpeted stairs was disgraceful and coming up in areas this would have been serious If myself or any of my friends had a trip due to the lack of maintenance Thirdly, we then found our rooms which were absolutely appalling these were “damp” “covered in black mould” and one wall even had bodily fluids on it. This was seriously dangerous and detrimental to our health, one of your guests suffers from a serious chest condition which could have led to a serious outcome due to your lack of standards for your guests. Toilet roll in bathroom had “blood” on which absolutely mortified us due to any diseases carried, furthermore when looking behind the bed found a cardboard box for tin foil this was a serious worry for us and utterly shocking. There is no staff for safety on a night. The door is left unlocked and the bedrooms have only a manual lock and no electronic locking systems in sight. This must be against your safety policy surely. If this could be attached that would be great In Room 17 the fire alarm is ripped out of the wall which is severely dangerous and with no staff could easily lead to loss of life!!! This surely must go against your fire regulations There is many more points I could state and I will if needed, all my friends and myself would like is to receive the money we wasted on gaining such a terrible experience. If this is not given then other authorities will be contacted and legal advice will be taken.

What a horrible experience!!! Walked in and could only take the correct amount of cash with no change given. Corridors smell of smoke. Floors are dirty, walls are dirty, TV doesn’t work. Bathroom is as tiny as anything. Taps dirty, hair in the sink. Shower has mould on it. Cups have stains in them. Beds are so uncomfortable. People are shouting and banging on walls. So glad we are only here for the night!

I recently had the misfortune of staying at what can only be described as the worst hotel I have ever been to. this hotel was a complete nightmare from start to finish. Upon arrival, there was nobody there to greet us and the hotel itself looked old and run down. The smell was overwhelming and it only got worse as we made our way to our room. We had asked the receptionist to show us the room first, but even then we were not prepared for what we were about to experience. The corridor leading up to our room was filthy and smelled like something had died in there. The room itself was no better. The tiles on the wall of the foyer toilet had fell down and it was like a dilapidated carvanseray remained from the second world war. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone - even if you are on a tight budget. It is simply not worth it.

Dated, no parking available had to park on the road. Kept awake til 2am, woken by reception other side of wall at 510am, no sound insulation, very noisy hotel. Double room, one cup no spoon, uht milk out of date by two months. Bathroom door handle loose. Half the lights in the room didn't work, no bulbs in some. In desperate need of some basic maintenance. Not worth 80 quid a night. Will NOT use again. Dont be a cheapskate like me. Pay the extra and go to a Premier Inn is my advice

Room was a 4 person room with 3 beds, to single one double. The shower had black mould all over the walls. Wardrobe was broken with the door hanging by one hinge. Pillows had stains on them, which were apparently changed before we came in. Staff seemed disinterested apart from the odd 1 or 2. Definitely not a place to stay if you need a bed to rest. Definitely not worth £75 either for the room. Overall poor hotel by any standards

booked family room for family members and myself early Feb. Find it hard to believe some of reviews I've read. Yes it's a budget hotel if you want 4 or 5 star service then book appropriate hotel. We found your staff polite and very helpful inc arranging taxi for us to get to old Trafford for match. The room was warm, clean and more than satisfactory. Thanks for a really nice break will use hotel again, travelled down from Newcastle so nice to find comfy beds..

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and 4 days and I have never been s and disgusted by the hotel. We arrived with skips and rubbish thrown over the car park/entrance. After picking up the key car walking to the room there was rubbish in corridors and dirty bedsheets and this was all before we even got to the room. When we got to the room it looked ok but then we had seen that there was rubbish left all in the corner from the last person that had said there (clearly hadn’t been cleaned beforehand). We were not given any kind of towels we had to ask for hand towels as well as toilet rolls. I expected the basics of anything for what we had paid for and unfortunately we didn’t even get that. Would not be staying here again nor would I be recommending it to anyone.

I had the pleasure in staying at your hotel last night. For what we had you were way over priced. I have never been in such a filthy dump in my life, I wouldn't even put my dogs in such a place. A review has been posted and social media will be seing the footage. There were no cups Poor decor Mould Filthy unhygienic One small towel for 2 persons One night £198  ripp off No heating Fire alarm kept going off People trying to break in Constant noise Youths loitering Trying for a refund would be pointless as your from a low category.  This hotel needs knocking down and starting again !! Or making into a barn. Your not returning patron!!! Very unhappy. Sent from my Galaxy

Without a shadow of a doubt the worst accomadation I have ever stayed in. The smell of weed upon walking into reception set the tone for what was a truly awful stay. The owner should not be in any customer facing role, grumpy and impolite from minute one. The hotel in its entirety is in serious need of a revamp. The rooms are absolutely appalling and my bed was damp. The key for the door didn't even lock up the room. I could go on but long story short don't stay here if at all possible.

If your looking for a cheap stay and your not too bothered about where then this hotel is honestly fine! Me and my two friends stayed here for 2 nights while visiting for a concert, we are 3 young girls and we felt so welcomed and staff was lovely!! Our room was nice had comfy beds, clean bedding and overall the condition of the room and bathroom was absolutely fine! We was worried to stay here after looking at other reviews but we seriously think people have massively over exaggerated their experience of staying here as ours was absolutely fine! And we enjoyed ourselves!

The best! Rooms are spacious and clean. Toilets are well maintained. I would highly recommend this hotel. They also have a parking and kitchen! TV and essentials in all rooms.

The absolute worst experience in a hotel in my entire life! The staff claim that the rooms get cleaned before each check in, but it was either a complete lie or just lazy cleaning department. I walk in and the room can barely fit me in it. Everywhere I glanced at had either a dent or stain on it. The pictures of the rooms does not look anything like the room I stayed in. Classic case of false advertisement. Bed was disgusting and uncomfortable that I had to sleep in my clothes and the only thing I could use as blanket was the towels in the room and mind you they were probably not cleaned either. Wouldn't recommend to anyone I know, and would of slept in the middle of the street next time...

Walked out immediately. Room looked nothing like the pictures, smelt so strongly of urine couldn’t stay in there for five minutes. Cost £105!!!! For a room I wouldn’t have spent 20p on. Now in a battle to get a refund and had no response so far, will be taking it further.

There was no hot water in the room even after complaining about it. The TV was there in the room but no remote (the owner said there's a shortage of remotes!) The bathroom was not clean as well. Would not recommend anyone for long stays.

It was cheap rooms where ok. Only 2 out of 9 bulbs worked kettle blew the fuses in the room it's in the middle of a housing estate. But the room we wanted for a big enough for one man and two women so overall it is what you make it

The worst hotel experience ever. Would not recommend this hotel at all. I came to Manchester with 2 other mates of mine and we booked a family room. The room was dirty to start with, there was a popped party baloon laying on the floor(Like seriously?, In a presumably 3 star hotel). The toilet door doesn't lock, the bathroom don't have the door and is in open plan, I get that its a family room but bathroom is still private area. The main door of the room doesn't lock, we asked the staff and they said that we need to wait for 5 minute for it to be locked which was an utter lie as it needed a battery replacement which they kindly changed and the door was working fine but they should have checked it themselves and not do it after multiple complaints from our end.

Horrible. I wish I could rate it 0 stars, fire alarm going of all night, police banging on the door. Furthermore locals came up to me saying it’s full of Ex-convicts. There was mold in the shower, damp on the roofs, stains all over the carpet. However, the day I was leaving new owners came in and apologised for the state of the rooms and got to cleaning straight away

Poor management. Dirty carpeted rooms, Duvets were dirty, No toilet paper in toilet, No hanging place for towel even for your dress in washroom, Hot and cold water system dont work. They give single room to even 5-6 teenagers for money. Very noisy. We stayed there for a night and there were fight in corridor until 5 am and no one came to manage the situation. Its good if you want to stay awake for the whole night. Worst experience ever!

The hotelstaff was very friendly and made sure our stay was as pleasant as posibile. We booked a room with a double bed and were upgraded to a room with two double beds, which was greatly appreciated as we (a pair of sisters) were tired of sleeping next to eachother. The room was very spacious, only the bathroom was a bit thight. When we firat arrived the wifi wasn't working for us but the person at the reception made sure to reset it for us, so the rest of our stay we had great wifi connection. The roomservice had plenty of options and when ordering cocktails the staff was ablw to make some adjustments to make it more to our liking. The hotel is located near a few public transport stops so you can get in the city centre of manchester pretty quickly and nearby the hotel were also plenty of options for shopping and restaurants.

The hotel us lucky to even get 1 star I wouldn't even give any I travelled from London to be with my dad who is on end of life got to the hotel no one greated me the price they charged for the room they tried to give me was horrific wen I got in the room there was black mould, no bins, bed bugs on the bed stains on the bedding and furniture when I asked for a refund as I didn't want to even look or try another room the staff member just kept trying to off another room I had to raise my voice and tell him "my dad is dying, I do not want no more stress just a refund to go elsewhere" with this he walked off and come back a few moments later and with a moody face sed OK fine I paid by card so currently still waiting for the refund to go back in my account definitely don't recommend I have pictures too!

After a terrible day of flight delays and being rerouted to Manchester from London I had this place booked just for a place to sleep however when I got into the wrasse hotel small double room I felt trapped inside i immediately wanted to leave it smelt really bad was freezing and for some reason a non stop alarm kept on going off outside not allowing me to have a great night sleep. It also had stained sheets stained pillows I felt vulnerable here and I would highly recommend elsewhere after my experience.

Myself and my wife and 2 kids lodged here, the heater was broken, my kids were shaking all through till the night, had to wrap them in duvet, no hot water, was horrible service, went downstairs to talk to the receptionist, "errm the authorities are not on shift, im just the porter man, cant do anything" we decided to check rhe next day so as to get a warmer place to stay, so i applied for a refund, till today, I still haven't gotten my refund. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL PLEASE!! You will 100 percent regret it! STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!

Room & whole hotel far too basic, filthy, old fashioned, & not kept up. Staff service was fine but this hotel needs a major renovation. Horrible place. It was like being back in the 80s or 90s with outdated &.dirty carpets & furniture & a rickety old bed, this hotel badly needs to stop living in the past & bring itself into the modern day. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Will never stay there ever again

The room stinks . They are not clean. Bathrooms were gross and not clean ! The bedding were horrendous and the bed sheets were dirty there were not shapoo no towels no soap the toom was ver empty. The door did not seem secure and you could open it easily . The neighbours had police visit them 2 nights in a row. They were loud they had a big fight and it was a nightmare everyone can hear them screaming and the lady was crying and screaming . Also they are scammers you pay them and you have the receipt and they tell you to pay again . My kids very very scared from all the drama and screaming and banging and couldn't sleep all night . Also all the coustmer left the hotel from the bad experience and in the morning I had a chat with some of the people next to my room and they were complaining. I will not recommend this place unless this is a very last resort. I don’t even know how they got 1 star rating. The staff were very rude and bad language in front of my kids and they are the reason for the poor hygiene of the rooms. I and even walked pass a room that had old filthy mattresses stacked almost to the ceiling! Don't waste your time and your money wort experience ever 💯

Hotel was located in nice neighbourhood with shops and public transport nearby. A manager was nice person, who was trying to make our stay more enjoyable. However, a carpet in our room was not vacuum cleaned so there were in some places hairs from people who stayed there before us. In wardrobe where was also a dust, so we couldn’t store there our clothes. When you turned off the shower, a water was still leaking droppings of the water, which was annoying. Every time we used sink, for the first 2-3 second there was brown-dirty water, so watch out and don’t drink it immediately. A lock from our room was used with cards, however the cards were working only sometime so every time we had to call someone to open our doors. We didn’t even know if the door was properly locked when we were leaving the hotel. One time we decided to go a breakfast in the hotel, and we chose a English breakfast. The egg was done really bad and I found egg shell inside. The manager didn’t charge us eventually. For the same price I would go to eat somewhere in the city. For the price we paid, we expected better stay in Manchester..

Very run down. The mattresses are rubber. No hot water. TV not working. The only good things was the price and the staff were friendly.

Booked a room on Booking com and selected to pay by card at arrival. Were forced to pay cash otherwise key for the room can't be issued. Room was not cleaned since very long time, there was foodwaste on the table and floor and spider web. Toilet was not safe to use. Asked for refund and the guy laughed at us that we can't do anything. We called the police and were told this is not a situation for them to solve. Called Booking Customer service and were advised to leave and wait for money to be refunded after. Property refused the refund which we consider now as theft and will report it further. Can't understand why Booking agrees to be an intermediary for these thieves.

DO NOT VISIT!!! The reception was rude and unwelcoming. The owner was smoking in the garden behind the reception and the smoke was going through the building despite us having to give a £50 damage deposit in case we damaged anything or smoked! When we walked up the stairs to our room, we were met with a foul smell which I can only describe as dirty farm animals and urine. It felt like we were walking through haunted mansion. The smell was unbearable I had to cover my nose (coming from a nurse who deals with strong smells daily) The room, the pictures speak for themselves. 1. The wardrobe door has no handles 2. The door frame looked like it had been eaten away 3. The ceiling plaster patch had not even been painted over, nor had the plaster splashed been cleaned up off the floor!!! The shower tray was not clean either. We got out of there straight away, we were given our security deposit back but no refund. The man looked at us confused as if he offered us a 5* room. Do not stay here even if you’re considering it after reading reviews saying it’s ok. We wasted £70 and our time, we should have spent the little extra somewhere else as we had to another hotel!!!

Very BASIC hotel, TV didn't worked as only give you one channel. Bed was comfortable, only one working tap and that was cold tap. Very tidy bathroom. The staff were okay but they very little help at times .

  • 1/5 Ben D. 2 years ago on Google
It's hard to truly put into words how bad this hotel is without using words that will this review flagged as explicit. But I'll try anyway... It smells, it's old, it's mostly broken, and it's dirty in a way I've never seen. The plug socket didn't work and neither did the taps. The cat that sleeps in our green house wouldn't touch this place.

  • 2/5 Adedigba A. 2 years ago on Google
It was not so bad. The room is very old and smells of cigarette, the water heater in the bathroom is not working so I couldn't take my bath that morning, the heater for coffee has not been washed in about a year, very dirty but the TV works fine, I was able to watch BBC. If you are in a state of emergency just like me, it is a place not so bad to stay for the night.

  • 1/5 United K. 2 years ago on Google
I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. If you have another option, do not hesitate. There was no heating in the entire hotel with -1° outside, neither did they provide us with electric heaters, the room on the 3rd floor was a refrigerator. Terrible mattress, thin and with very marked springs, the dog's bed is more comfortable. The man at the reception attended us visibly drunk and very dirty, he seemed homeless. We asked for the refund of the amount because he did not meet any of the minimum requirements to sleep there. We are still dealing with booking.com to get our money back. I think it's the worst hotel I've ever been to. I really don't understand how this hotel is still open!! It's doesn't even meet a safety and security requirement. (I'm a hotel maintenance engineer, I know what I'm talking about) Booking.com advertises it on its page and it's really a terrible option among its worst ads.

Absolutely vile place. I would not put a dog in this place, its Absolutely filthy and the staff were very aggressive when confronted about the level of cleanliness....AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE UNLESS YOU WANT TO CATCH THE PLAGUE
