Would give no stars if this was an option!!!!! Absolutely vile horrible place. Not fit for people to stay in. First of all we waited 15 minutes in an empty hallway for someone to check us in. Place stank of rotten fish. Toilet was disgusting an absolute disgrace, carpets stank of urine, bed covers had loads of brown stains on them. Place hadn't been hoovered. Loud music blasting and the lights were falling off of the ceiling. The overall interior is dirty with cobwebs and stains. I know it's cheap but you still expect good customer service and an appropriate level of cleanliness and hygiene. Safe to say we spent all of 30 minutes in our room to book another hotel. Do not stay here! Find a cheap travel lodge that you know will at least be clean!

Great place to stay if you hate sleep. The walls were paper thin and everyone (including guests and staff) were having loud conversations, playing music, slamming doors etc. Until 2 am. The non smoking room reeked of cigarettes, the sheets had cigarette burns in them and the walls were decorated with assorted stains that included blood. And to top it off they kept my 50 quid "deposit" so I have to go through my bank to get it back.

I stayed here recently and it was a great experience. The staff here are so friendly and accommodating, they really went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. They are doing renovations and wow the rooms are outstanding, for a 2 star hotel the rooms are amazing. Some of the old rooms are not that great as I’ve seen from the photos but they are still clean and have everything you would need, the price reflects this very well. I would return here again in the future and would recommend anybody who so interested in staying to book in advance so you can request a newly renovated room, if asked the staff will accommodate your request depending if they have availability.

We got scammed by another hotel in Manchester. Had no where to say and 2 hours away from hone we were panicking. I called hendham house and spoke to Lois (absolute angel in disguise and 100% needs a pay rise) she was so so so accommodating and helped us out so much. Went searching round the place looking for a spare room for us and kept our luggage safe the next day. They were brilliant. Couldn’t recommend them more

To start, I'm pretty sure half the pictures shown are either fake, stolen, or taken in a way to make things look much better than they are. Or all of the above. For the price you pay I suppose you're getting what you pay for. Booking details were lost but luckily the room was still available and re booked on the spot. Toilets are shared but the bathroom is huge and quite clean for what's basically a public restroom. Parking is decent. Smoking area outside. Decent reception, staff and dining area. The reason for the two stars is, while the beds were comfortable enough. Bed bugs were found. Both alive and dead, in two separate beds of the three we had. There was also a damp smell coming from the single closet in the room, as well as noticible damp stains on the ceiling. Hard to recommend. Unless you're in desperate need of accommodation in Manchester.

Room was tidy upon arrival, beds were comfy and more than adequate for our stay. Staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. A relaxed and relatively enjoyable experience overall. Would stay again if needed.

Clean bedroom. Newly refurbished Cramped bedroom. Unable to sit upright in the bed if you are over 6 feet. ( my husband is) no acrobatics antics in bed due to wooden shelving above head board. Bathroom new, stylish, modern, clean 👌. Radiator in bathroom dangerously hot. Radiator is placed beside the toilet bowl and the toilet paper 🧻 holder. My arm caught the Radiator as I reached for the paper. I Close enough wet myself, but I was in the appropriate place to do so. 🤣. But what I found disturbing is that I reported it to the lady at reception. Nothing was done about it. If a young child or elderly person come in direct contact with that egg- frying temperature radiator it will be a different outcome. The area is yet to be desired. Not the impression of Manchester that we want to stay in our memory. But.. you get what you pay for.

My family and I arrived late on a Saturday evening at Manchester. I called a few hotels to book for a night but unfortunately all their receptionist were rude. I then came across Hendham House hotel where I was treated with respect aswell as a good customer service. The price for the family room was fair for a Saturday night and also it was a very nice and clean room. I would definitely go back there once I'm in Manchester again. Highly recommended. Regards Mr Fredan

So glad we found this hotel! It was a last minute booking and we was apprehensive after reading some of the reviews but let me tell you this place is amazing. It’s just out of the city centre you can easily get to where you need to go using Uber. The rooms were modern, spacious and comfortable. Even the shared bathrooms were very clean and they had cleaning products in so you could freshen up yourself even tho we did see them cleaning it during the day too, we never found that it wasn’t cleaned. It’s so nice to be greeted by the staff who were so caring and genuinely took an interest in us. We told them we were staying at the hotel since we were going to a concert so they played the artists music on the speakers which was such a nice touch. Definitely definitely would recommend. Also make sure you add on breakfast it was a lifesaver when we were hungover the next morning!

I had booked the double room with private bathroom for new years. Absolutely amazing experience. Value for money to say the least. Very clean. Easy access and check in. Staff were helpful when required. Comfortable bed. Quite. Nice hot shower. Would definitely return and recommend

First room they gave me, the key didn't work, 2 wine glasses were actually 1 red wine glass and a champagne glass, were a bit dirty, had to clean them myself. In the bathroom there was an awfull smell the first tine I used it, no towels in the room, the air in the room was stale. The guy at the reception did his best, can't blame him, but a bit more maintenance should work wonders. Overall... Can't really complain that much for 50 quids, 2 nights... At least I can sleep somewhere...
