08/11/22: had a fab couple of drinks again, here at Trof. An old, well estanlished Northern Quarter favourite, since 2003. Dog friendly, very welcoming, good craft ale selection, including bottles and cans.

Popular spot for a roast dinner on a Sunday, advise to book ahead. Good Yorkshire pudding and decent atmosphere. Waiting staff are really helpful and polite too.

Another place for french toast! This week’s topping is chocolate pear with cream and hazelnut crumbles. The flavour was decent and the pear and crumbles taste amazing! But i do have to say the inside of the toast was way too dry for my taste, i would like it more if it is softer. The staffs were very very nice, definitely add a lot of points because it makes us feel welcomed!!

We went on a Thursday evening straight after work. Booked the table by calling them up and was greeted with a friendly smile. Service was top draw, drinks at great prices with it being happy hour and the food was awesome!

Lovely place and friendly staff. The food was delicious and half priced on Tuesdays. I would 100% visit again if I ever return to Manchester!

Lovely cosy pub in the Northern Quarter. Staff very friendly and polite. Bit of a wait to have the food. I had the Korean fried chicken which was delicious. It was spicy, just right for me. I ordered a side of fries, also delicious. I didn't fancy any Sunday roast. Hubby had the chicken roast. Which he called slop hehe. If you have a tasty homemade roast you're probably not going to enjoy this. It was ok but had much better. On a Sunday only Sunday roast is served as a main. Recommend the place as the atmosphere was relaxed and chilled, enjoyed the music. It has several floors and outdoor smoking. Toilet was a bit untidy and stinky. Next time I'd come in the week and have a burger instead. Crowne plaza hotel is just around the corner, 2/3 minutes walk. See my other reviews.

I have always loved this place and started to coming for many years ago. We came for a sunday roast and were not disappointed! I took the roast with pork. Very very tasty. Yorkshire pudding was on point. Potatoes could have been a little crispier but was delicious. Great service and a lovely cosy atmosphere. Would recommend anyone to visit this place not only for food but also for a night out in a bar. What a place!

What a lovely little pub! I had a few hours to kill before a train and was craving a roast and Google recommend this place - and it wasn't wrong! I had to wait for a table due to how busy they were, but I sat at the bar upstairs and as soon as a table was ready I was placed there. I ordered a pork roast and cauliflower cheese (which I found out after was a sharer dish and I ate it all πŸ˜‚) and it was filling and delicious. I mean just look at the size of that Yorkshire pud!! Food was about Β£20 in total from memory. If I find myself back in Manchester I shall absolutely be coming back here.

Lovely little place with amazing roast dinner. I'm gluten free so couldn't have the yorkies but everything else was amazing! Highly recommend the roast pork: best I've had in years. Also dog friendly and a cool little place

I recently visited Trof in Northern Quarter for a Christmas catchup meal, and it was a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was cosy and bustling with energy, the service was fast and efficient, and the food was truly amazing! The prices were very reasonable considering the excellent quality of the dishes. Highly recommend for a delightful dining experience!

Sunday Roast was great. I had the beef and my partner had the filo pastry. Really friendly service and quite nice inside, though it is a louder atmosphere. Pretty good value for money as well.

We went here four times during our stay in Manchester. We ate burgers, French toast, British breakfast, salad and everything was really good. The staff is very friendly, so it's a lovely and quiet place to have lunch. If we return to Manchester, we'll come back here for sure.

Nothing really to fault here. Staff dealing really well with a buuuusy Tue as expected when a venue serves such a good quality food at 50% + happy hour until 9pm. Exceptional selection of food and drink, good beats and friendly service πŸ€™

Great service, great food and a good quirky atmosphere. I'd definitely go back. It's a small place so not always easy to get a table but for smaller groups/pairs there isn't always much of a wait. Simple selection of brunch food, but we went for the veggie breakfast and it hit the spot after a busy weekend. The hash browns were the highlight, being nice and crispy! Yes maybe a little expensive for what it was but all in all of say worth it for a nice quick bite.

Amazing place for breakfast /lunch. Food was incredibly good and the location and atmosphere are very welcoming. Staff are extremely nice as well and you get to meet Kikiriki, their beautiful doggie.

Mrs had the beef looked epic. I had the lamb. I may have been the smallest lamb in the world. It was enough to feed maybe a 3 month old. However it was great food. I would definitely return. Great little place

Decent fish and chips, except for too much salt, visible on the fish. I'd suggest asking them not to add the extra salt, if that might bother you. Otherwise, the dish was simple but nicely done to the detail. The tables are a bit small and tight, but helps to the cosy and friendly atmosphere. Service was also really nice, and chilled, not trying to get you more drinks or food all the time, as it happens at some places. Also, there is a good selection of drinks and happy hour weekdays till 9pm.

Wish I had one day more in Manchester so I could dine here again! As odd as it sounds, you know the food’s going to be smashing when even the dumpster smells heavenly (I took the back alley). I got the Full English (grilled bacon, Trof sausage, hash brown, Heinz beans, fried egg, mushroom, slow-roasted tomato, sourdough) and didn’t regret it one bit because every item was phenomenal, though it’s worth upgrading to the Royal English (double of everything) if you think your stomach can handle it. Cozy vibes all-around and great place to people-watch from. One nitpick that must be pointed out is that it gets exceptionally busy on the weekends, I must’ve waited around 40min for my order to arrive.

Fantastic 3 course vegan Christmas menu, wine clearly labelled vegan and super friendly and helpful staff.. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal and experience and would highly recommend Trof.

We booked a table for Saturday evening. We were quick to be served and the staff cared. The food and drinks came quickly. The burger was amazing. Plenty of meat and plenty of chips. The meat fell apart it was that good. We would definitely visit again.

Really enjoy this gem. It's got a laid back feel, almost speakeasy like, especially in the upstairs bourbon bar. Bit of a pain going to the toilet 3 floors up though lol. Drinks are nice and a good selection of bourbons/whiskeys. Wasn't too busy for a Saturday evening and managed to get a seat, which was nice. Music isn't too loud so a good place to sit and chat and enjoy a drink and the calm atmosphere. Always happy to return here.

They state the best Sunday dinner ever. I can confirm it is the best Sunday dinner ever. I am such a fussy eater and also so critical of food as it needs to stand out, their roast did. We had Chicken and Lamb, highly recommended the cabbage as a side. The staff were all very friendly and professional also. It was busy but very well run and organised. I would give 6*s if was an option.

Great food! Cool, quirky Place to go for breakfast! Also - breakfast/brunch runs until 2pm Which was great for us! We had the veggie breakfast and the croque monsieur. Veggie sausage wasn’t as nice as expecting, we really like the potatoes based veggie sausages - I think this was a Linda McCartney type but everything else was amazing! Coffee was great too!

πŸ‘πŸ‘ I was craving curry during my stay in Manchester. And Google suggested this place to me. It's in the centre, almost 6 minutes away from my hotel. The interior design is very hip and it has a great vibe. The music that is being played is modern. The curry was amazing. And the prices were perfect for...
