I
recently
visited
20
Stories
in
Manchester
for
a
special
birthday
celebration
with
my
fiancée.
Unfortunately,
our
experience
was
far
from
satisfactory.
We
started
with
nibbles
and
a
starter,
which
was
essentially
a
£14
tomato
dish.
The
wait
for
our
mains
was
excessively
long,
with
my
fiancée
waiting
for
an
hour
for
his
meal.
To
make
matters
worse,
I
discovered
a
red
hair
in
my
main
dish,
which
completely
ruined
my
appetite.
While
I
politely
informed
the
waiter
about
the
issue,
I
was
shocked
that
the
restaurant
only
reduced
my
main
dish
by
50%
instead
of
removing
it
from
the
bill
entirely.
This
seemed
entirely
unacceptable,
especially
for
a
restaurant
that
aspires
to
be
high-end.
What
truly
disappointed
us
was
the
lack
of
hospitality
and
respect
from
the
staff.
They
seemed
to
discuss
our
situation
with
bitterness
as
we
left,
which
was
extremely
disrespectful.
Overall,
I
found
20
Stories
to
be
overpriced,
with
mediocre
food
and
a
severe
lack
of
service
quality.
The
experience
left
us
feeling
offended
and
disappointed,
and
no
effort
was
made
to
salvage
the
special
occasion.
Many
restaurants
offer
small
gestures
like
complimentary
desserts
to
enhance
special
celebrations,
but
20
Stories
offered
rudeness
and
poor
hospitality.
Based
on
our
experience,
I
wouldn’t
recommend
this
restaurant
to
others.
It
falls
short
of
the
expectations
one
would
have
for
a
special
dining
experience.
