This is truly a gem of a place with great quality food in Manchester. Friendly staff, cool environment which was decorated both inside and outside and super quality food was all it took them to hook me into their restaurant. It was absolutely phenomenal. Service was exceptional and the food was sensational and the decor was quite elegant. This isn't the cheapest Italian restaurant, but you will definitely get what you pay for. The lobster crostini and the chocolate sphere deserts being particularly delicious! I also had the truffle sausage pasta dish and my mum chose the prawn one. The profiteroles are the best ones I’ve ever ever had, but the highlight was the banana creme brûlée - incredible! I can't wait to return to this restaurant on my next trip to Manchester. It is a restaurant which is a great value for money; Recommend 💯

I went to the restaurant with my partner for celebrating our anniversary. Even we made a booking and mentioned to the restaurant earlier that there would be a special occasion, the service and overall experience was poor. We had waited for long to be taken to the table, and no one had been serving us throughout our meal except for taking our orders. Even we asked for assistance from the waiters, we are sometimes being ignored. Dishes were not collected for at least 15 to 30 minutes after we finished eating until we asked for a dessert menu by ourselves. We end up choosing not to have the dessert because we cannot even find a waiter to take our dessert orders. Meanwhile, the several tables next to us (with around 4-6 people) had very good services provided, waiters check on customers from time to time. In general, the price of food and service fee wasn’t cheap. So we are really disappointed with the arrangements and our experience. Food tastes well, but the main course could be more nicely presented. The dish is simply not attractive. We would appreciate if the restaurant staffs could listen to the needs of customers instead of ignoring them. I would not recommend this restaurant for celebrating or arranging special occasions or surprises etc. Staffs simply would not help and the fact that we have been ignored for times just made us not wanting to order extra food.

Are at Rosso with my Fiancee it was my first time eating at Rosso but heard great things. Polite and friendly staff, Great building, great setting, amazing service, Amazing food, amazing drink and fantastic experience. 5* From Us.

We took my mum for her Birthday, The food, the staff, the venue was perfect. They made her feel so special and looking around I could see that other guest was also being treated special, this is the place to visit if you like quality food and staff that go above and beyond to make your dining experience that little bit special.. Beautiful building. Definitely somewhere I would recommend to friends and family.

Fantastic restaurant and bar close to King Street. First time visitor on Thursday afternoon but enjoyed it that much went again early Friday evening. Just had drinks in the bar and no food. Incredible range of Champagne, Cocktails and if you prefer a beer you can Staff are brilliant, very friendly and welcoming and it's fun watching the bar staff shaking their cocktails

This really is a special place to go if you want amazing food. The building itself is very grand. And the carrots.... I don't believe I have ever recommended carrots to anyone. If the chef can make the carrots taste like chicken then they deserve 5 stars for that alone .

Quite an exquisite place and really feels luxurious in this top of King St old listed building. Find dining with amazingly trained and passionate waiters. This is definitely a place to dress up for. But also be surprise on the value for money, especially for business lunches. I used to live on King Street and was one of my favourite places and restaurants in Manchester. Highly recommended 5*

We were really looking forward to trying Rosso and saved it for a special occasion. Unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations.. The food was average. The quality of ingredients was good, i.e., the fresh bread and pasta. Personally, we found the chicken tasted hard, and the lamb cutlet was awful. It had no flavour and didn't taste nice. The steak was generally nice and cooked well, which accompanied the peppercorn sauce. I didn't feel like the price point reflected the taste of the food. The desserts, however, were great and were thoroughly enjoyed! The atmosphere was pleasant. Though it was quite cold inside, which was understandable due to the large venue. It was clean and pleasant. The service was definitely a letdown. Our server did not smile and was not pleasant. They didn't make any sort of conversation, even when asked about halal options, it was one word answers - like we were so inconvenient for asking them questions about the menu instead of just ordering. We haven't really had a lot of Italian food before, so a lot of the items were new to us, and we were offered no explanation or assistance. We thought maybe the server was tired and excused it, however, literally 15 minutes later another table was seated directly next to us and the server went above and beyond to talk to them about the menu options, good drink accompaniments and general chitchat. We felt a little upset as our initial experience had already dampened the evening on what was a special occasion for us. We are generally very friendly people and were in no way rude to the server that warranted that type of behaviour. Whenever our next item of food was brought, it was brought in silence, and not even a simple "enjoy your food" was said.

Full bellies and banging headaches! Food was absolutely divine as you'd expect for the price. The staff were all relatively helpful and attentive given how busy it was. The restaurant itself is beautiful, but please, someone sack the DJ! Given it's such a beautiful place for fine dining, why on Earth have you turned it into a nightclub?! We could barely hear ourselves talk and think, and it was not pleasant eating to such loud music. We won't be returning for this reason which is a shame as the food was wonderful.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced!!! It was supposed to be a special occasion and we left feeling life dirt due to the horrendous customer service. I’ve been to the restaurant Many times over the last 6 years and it has always been fantastic. Since the revamp other than the decor everything has gone down hill. The bar staff were excellent but the hostesses ruined the whole experience. They basically said our custom wasn’t good enough and refused to apologies for us waiting for over an hour for our table. We then left without being seated. Luckily there is Grant Pacific across the road who welcomed us in and said this was a regular occurrence. Restaurant suggestions which are the same vibe: Firefly, Grand Pacific, Yours (cheaper), AustralAsia. I genuinely hate moaning but this had to be done so other people don’t have the same experience!!!

Had a fantastic 3 course meal on the Sunday menu, all 4 of us couldn’t fault the service or the food! The added bonus is the beautiful building which is simply stunning, highly recommended for £25…. You can not get better anywhere in Manchester for the quality we had.

Xmas decor so dreamy. Nice staff even though the waiter said there was no candles available for my husbands cake that he brought out however 5 minutes later seen other waiters bring out candles with complimentary cakes for other guests. Apart from that nice food especially calamari & steak was cooked to perfection. decent ambiance

Great place that I went to for my birthday. I had the steak (not sure which one though, it has been a while) and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was cooked perfectly, could not have asked for more. The staff/service were a bit flustered as it was a bit understaffed and abnormally busy. The staff themselves were very nice people, no complaints about them specifically. They always asked if we were ok, which I appreciate. Atmosphere, wow, some of the best I've seen. Great decor, huge chandeliers and just overall a very good atmosphere. It's very much of a thing where you'll understand once you enter. Would I come again? Absolutely. Should you? Absolutely.

Really great experience All the food was delicious and staff was always around ready to take drink and food orders even though the place was packed. Would definitely recommend to others however with great food and service comes a bill to match, but definitely worth it as a treat.

Fabulous building, generous portions, and if you fancy eating in a disco, not being able to speak to your friends without shouting - this is your place. How nice would some cool background music have been. But then again, I am probably old...

The restaurant is very good. Located center of Manchester inside is a very beautiful historical atmosphere. Service was also very good. food taste was fine just the size of the portion was a bit small.

Beautiful restaurant with a fantastic design. The cocktails were lovely and the service was great, we found the staff to be really attentive and friendly. The food was nice but I wouldn't say more than that - it was overpriced for what you get. Overall a good experience but unsure if I would return for anything other than the cocktails.

Great ambiance , great customer service, easy to find location with plenty of on street parking and also a carpark a 2 min walk away. The calamari starter was nice and cooked perfectly as were the grilled prawns. The steak was cooked just how I liked it the fries were handcut with the skin on and crispy. Mocktails here were great.

Went for lunch today. Service is always good,. The place still has a lovely atmosphere in a beautiful old city bank. However, the price for the lunchtime menu has gone up and up in price (£25 two courses) and the bottle of wine at the cheaper deal is no longer available .

Amazing service and food .... the atmosphere on Saturday night was lively and everyone in there was having a brilliant time. It was my birthday and as a gesture the staff brought me a choux bun with Happy Birthday piped on in chocolate. Had the pate, lasagna then profiteroles, so tasteful .... the profiteroles were huge LOL. The others said they steaks etc were cooked to perfection. Need to book in advance for weekend table but well worth the wait, highly recommended. Just an UPDATE ..... 4 of us went again 5th January for another fabulous meal and again exceptional food and service. Ordered starters, for main we had steak, chicken, pizzas served with fries. mushrooms etc. etc. Had some great desserts ..... was so filling. Will be going again, book your table in advance.

Lovely place ! Beautiful Christmas decorations! I would really recommend for a posh treat! Food was delicious we had the set Christmas lunch. Everyone cleared their plates! Waiters fantastic topping up our drinks and couldn't have asked more! Only criticism was the veg for our meals was cold, but still I would give it a 5 stars as every other aspect was outstanding and it didn't effect the overall experience!

It was an excellent experience, we went to celebrate our friend graduation. There's a big menu with loads of options that can match everyone's preferences. From vegan to vegetarian and halal options!!. The service was amazing!! Were served by Somia, she was so nice and helped us picked what suits everyone from the menu. She made sure we had a great experience which all of us did!! The atmosphere and whole vibe was worth going, recommend!!

This is a stunning location for a really delicious Italian meal. Although the prices may seem on the more expensive side for what you get, they do offer a small or large portion of their many pasta dishes! I tried the Burrata to start and finished with their truffle sausage pasta! Both delicious. The Burrata was £17 and the truffle sausage pasta £20 so quite a lot for two courses, however I think you pay for the location, overall experience and the fact it’s owned by a famous footballer… It’s a great place for a special occasion and the meal was very filling however I am not in a rush to go back.

Lovely customer service. Flavour of the food was delicious. Only issue was steak was a bit too tough, even though it was pink on the inside…I asked for medium, next time I will try medium rare
