An excellent find in Northern Quarter. Excellent range of reasonable priced, and dare I say, sublime ales and beers. If you're a cask fan, this must be a regular for you. Great service and good range, however it could do with a lick of paint and their table app doesn't work. So bar service only. Love the bar mats everywhere.

The best craft bar we found in Manchester. It's a short walk from the centre through intresting streets full of bohemian shops. Great helpful staff and top world class craft beer.

If you love beer then you need to check this pub out. Great options for craft and non craft! And even some great cask beers

Thank you to the awesome girl behind the bar who found my backpack and kept it safe. The hospitality in this place is second to none. I'll definitely be visiting again 👌🏻

The OG of the craft bar world in Manchester. A great selection of cask and keg.

It was a quiet wet Monday night. We chose port Street as it had more people than other pubs. Bar staff were lovely and chatty. Good range of beers.

Awesome range of proper craft beers. Every pub claims ‘craft’ these days because they sell Beavertown but this place has loads of real craft beers from the US, UK and all over the world. Highly recommend!!

Second visit to the Port Street Beer House the first one being many years ago now (at least 10). This visit certainly didn't disappoint, the beer range was wide and varied and the bar staff's knowledge was vast. The service was prompt and friendly

Best pub in Manchester? It has some competition but you can't fault it's commitment to beer - I had a phenomenal DIPA from Burlington and Port Street is always stocked with some serious brews.

Fantastic little craft beer venue. Friendly staff, good selection and Air con on a hot day. What more can you ask for!

Had a great time with the extended family last night. A wide range of real ales and good quality spirits where the atmosphere is made by people talking to each other rather than loud music and television screens.

Brilliant craft beer selection, local bar snacks (best pork pie I've ever had). Nice and clean, lovely decor and artwork on the walls. All the best things about craft beer/real ale pubs without being sticky and dingy. Would definitely go back. The downstairs bar was busy, but there was also a nice looking seating area upstairs which looked quieter.

Lovely beers, plenty of places (inside/upstairs/outside) to hang out.. toilet available on 2nd floor. Cheers!!

One of the best bars for real ale in a City full of great bars. Check opening times. More relaxed in 2023. Can get busy when Manchesters second team are at home in the nearby Abu Dhabi stadium. Spread over 3 floors. Apart from disabled loo get climbing. Small beer garden at rear or sit out front. Card only so loses a star for that.

Couple of pints at the end of a Saturday night out. Stout was excellent, was offered a taster and giving several options for the hoppy beer drinker, who was very happy with the beer. Definaly going back to see what other beery treats they have.

A very nice place and amazing staff. My card declined for some reason and they couldn't take cash. Therefore the kind bartenders didn't take any other payments for my beer.

Nice little craft beer pub near the station. Only stayed for a quick pint before heading to catch a train, but service was great. Offered to try before we buy from their fantastic selection of beers.

The place to be if you enjoy a nice lager or craft beer while the aroma of weed wafts over you. Definitely a staple of the Manchester pub scene. Nice little pub with true craft beer in the Northern Quarter of Manchester.

Great choice of ales which change regularly. Excellent service, small but good outdoor area. Lots of extra seating upstairs and toilets on 2nd floor so you need to be able to manage lots of stairs if you're there for a while.

Really a big fan of this spot. Looks very unassuming from the outside, but is a must visit for any beer nerds. With about 20 beers on tap and most of them being from a great selection of breweries, you won't be disappointed. They also host tap takeovers, so if you're lucky enough to get down there for one of those nights, good on you. A bigger bonus was that they had two gluten free beers on tap and a number in cans, so there's something for everyone. Wine and spirits available for those fussy drinkers. Enjoy.

A rustic, expansive, and quality pub. There is plenty if tables and plenty of nooks to hide away in, and always a vibrancy, even on weekdays. Most impressive is their selection of beers, as there is enough there to keep you the whole night. With the train station being so close, it's more than worth it. I've added it to my regular rotation of pubs, I would advise others do the same. It's a great place to bring your mates when pressed for choice, and the ideal place to take 'yer dad'. That said, the open-minded staff thought nothing of serving this trans person, and my friends of the same will attest to the tolerance.

Wonderful place for quality international beers, wifi good, plenty of seating, bar man was very much friendly - we discussed Belgian beer types, trappist, other similar establishments within the city, a tad pricey however is reflective of the regeneration in the local area. Overall 5 star, suits a variety of clientele whether groups, couples, touchdown laptop user, beer connoisseur, keep it up guys 🙂

Nice little place in the Northern Quarter. Upstairs room has no bar but can be hired for private get together for small parties. Toilets are on 3rd floor so not very accessible for those with disabilities. But nice bar and drinks friendly and comfy.

What a great little venue for beer lovers. A wealth of choice on offer with something for everyone's taste. Several of my favourite brewers featured across cask and keg keg taps, many more to be found in the well stocked fridge to. I can't speak highly enough of this little jewel. I only wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy more.

Wow, what a great beer bar. Superb choice of both keg and cask beers, friendly staff and great atmosphere.

Really nice atmosphere, with solid selection of beers on tap, including stouts, IPAs, lagers and bitters. One of the bars where you don't have to shout to have a conversation with somebody else. Will definitely be back.

Great bar with a huge choice of drinks. We sat outside and watched the world go by. Friendly bar service. We had the house cider which was really refreshing on a hot day. The have a beer 🍺 garden to the rear too. We'll definitely be returning.

Fantastic pub doing real ales and craft beers. When I visited they invited local brewery to open a popup bar upstairs which was a treat. Looks a regular feature with another booked next week. Nice and comfortable with lovely atmosphere.

Top quality staff, beautiful premises. Tonight was the first time going back since before covid, and none of the appeal has gone. The staff remain ever pleasant and incredibly knowledgeable about the drinks. Go in there with merely a craving and a vibe, and they'll find you a pint you'll be entirely happy with ❤️ Definitely going back for more! Long live Port Street Beer House!

👍👍 I was craving curry during my stay in Manchester. And Google suggested this place to me. It's in the centre, almost 6 minutes away from my hotel. The interior design is very hip and it has a great vibe. The music that is being played is modern. The curry was amazing. And the prices were perfect for...
