Walking into the gasworks you'd expect to see pipes. And that you do! But despite its name the gasworks is a pub. Situated in a newly developed area of Manchester city centre, this place is perfect for after work drinks. A good selection of beers and hipster pints (if you're that way inclined). Also I really enjoyed the food! You can even partake in a game of shuffleboard if that is your vibe. A good spacious pub with generally good vibes and staff.

Cool looking place with some good beer on offer. They even brew their own beer onsite! Not sure about the food, good for bar food but more snack size! Staff were helpful tho you have to order at the bar so don't expect them to do much for you!

Really cool place. A very generous happy hour during the start of the week through to Thursday, 4pm to 8pm 2 cocktails for £12. I ordered an Old Fashioned, my wife had a French Martini. The Old Fashioned was a very good one, with a beautiful balance between sweet, bitter, and fruity orange, and very aromatic. It is a very large open venue with bench seating, almost like a German Bier Keller, plenty of seating for groups of different sizes. The food menu looked good, however we had booked a table for dinner elsewhere.

The Gas Works is a fantastic place to go to. I hadn't been in a while but that doesn't diminish the fact it is a great place to visit. Was slightly confused with regards to the burger options on the menu. I didn't understand that you can select the style of burger and type of sauce / glaze it comes in. Nonetheless I would definitely visit again and have the beef burger. It was delicious.

Great place with great selection of Brewbar ales as you'd expect (a little pricey on Weissbier at £6 a bottle!), & also of main meals & snacks. Love the industrial decor & spacious interior. Social Distancing adhered to by courteous masked staff & table layout. In App ordering & payment & your order is tracked & updated until arrives at your table. The Hotdog meal is delicious & good value at £7! Highly recommend!

Best thing about this experience was view from the terrace! Inside it's a bit gloomy and cavernous. Friendly and helpful staff, but 2 out of the 3 veggie main courses weren't available and we had to trawl through the app to find that out. (Would also be helpful to display the menu inside instead of just facing outside.)

Visited this bar today as was meeting up with a friend staying in the Innside Hotel. Nice bar. Well spaced out and comfortable seating. Good selection of beers and I would recommend the Spruce Black IPA. Music was a little loud but it was a Saturday night so to be expected. Good sized disabled toilet which was easy to get too. Would like to revisit in the summer to sit outside.

A nice busy pub. Surprisingly good vegan options, but not great. It was junk food only. The shuffleboard was auper fun.

Nice bar with industrial vibe. Great choice of ales. Shuffle board and darts to play and have a big screen, no doubt for big games but not on whilst there. Have a happy hours too.

Well, nice decor etc but the menus very old, dirty, sticky planks on the table Chips nice! But Long Island ice tea tasted like coke with ice/. Can’t even taste alcohol in it for £9 Dirty menus like you would not dream off. If you looking for a quick drink and go home then this is the place for you.

Came here as its not too far from home and wanted to try out a new place. Our food was awesome, not as spicy as advertised but that's OK. Drinks were reasonably priced and was happy to see some dart boards. A little pricey for darts but still had a good time.

Great food, but limited choice. Reasonable bar prices. Plenty of seating inside and out. Great location.

I visited here with my boyfriend where we purchased 1 pint and 1 Diet Coke. When we paid with a £20 note and received only coins as change we were confused. When we asked about the change we were given, the guy (manager I believe) stated we were actually under-charged and stated he would ‘let us off’ with the 20p I know pints aren’t cheap these days, but I’m not convinced the price was correct in this instance.

Had a pub quiz on and the volume from the guy hosting was just way louder than it should have been. The staff behind the bar were to busy chatting instead of serving and gave off an unwelcoming vibe. We did order food that took an absolute age to turn up at our table - again partially down to the staff behind the bar chatting away to each other as I could hear the chef smashing the bell for food to be taken out Probably won't return again.

I love this place - every single member of the team is different and lovely in their own way. Every. Single. One. It's comfortable, spacious, the music is always different. Loud enough to sing along to if you so choose but quiet enough to hold a convo. It's just chilled and has come to be one of my happy places since moving here a few months ago Can't forget Dave's Pub Quiz - uh-mazing, every other Tuesday free entry and decent prizes 😍

The whole place wasn't being cleaned as they clearly didn't have enough staff working. Tables were full of glasses and food cartons. The food took 40 mins to arrive and although it did taste great, one of the dishes was quite cold like it had been sat a while before being brought out.

over the years of drinking margarita I didn't realise you can f.it.up and make it taste cheap and disgusting. and serve without salt! so far the most disappointing marharita in my life.

Food was very good but had a few things out of stock including cheese for the burgers. Try explaining that to the missus when she sent you to the bar while she keeps an eye on table. Good atmosphere and cold beer

Absolutely fantastic food. Spacious inside. Nice decoration. Has outside table and seat. I am surprised the food is so delicious at here. Also in very reasonable price. Staffs are nice. Defo will come back .

Nice place, though more hipster than genuine. Friendly service and ok food, the beer selection is quite large. Free shuffle board on Mondays, a recommended option to hang out while waiting for a late flight from the airport. Not bad at all!

Loved, amazing beer and shuffle board is just the ticket for competitive groups. Remember though, dont push too hard.

Popped in for a drink or two before me and my friend headed back to the midlands. Absolutely fantastic atmosphere. Wish we had one closer to home!

Awful place. Uncomfortable atmosphere. Felt as though a fight was going to kick off any minute. The barrage of security guards at the door didn't help either. I couldn't even finish my red wine, it tasted awful. Very grubby outdoor seating area with hundreds of cigarette buts all over the place....yuk!

Visited for a few drinks with friends atmosphere was great , friendly and polite staff. We ended up trying shufl board game there , without haven't any idea how to play but it was fun. Will visit again.

Excellent food at reasonable prices. Serving until 9pm and with extensive beer selections including those brewed on site this bar is a good place to start, end or while away an evening in town. Various events are held throughout the week including quizzes, live music and shuffle board tournaments and with space inside and out there is nothing not to like.
