Great atmosphere to catch up with friends and family. The pub is located strategically within the heart of Manchester City centre. Most importantly, this pub is super dog friendly. Your four legged friends can stay indoor and outdoor! They serve delicious Sunday roast too!

Thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Bay Horse Tavern. My work team and I came for their pub quiz but booked a table to have dinner beforehand. We sent in a pre-order as we were a large group and the staff were very accomodating and friendly when we arrived. Our food was served quickly too and it was absolutely delicious! Everyone enjoyed their meals and we were left very happy. As we were joining the pub quiz, we were seated downstairs near the kitchen which meant we had to go upstairs to the bar for drinks. This wasn't really an issue, but it would have been convenient if their QR code worked or had wait staff so we didn't have to constantly go up and down. The pub quiz was also very fun, we all had a great time!

Very good food, beer and service all in a cosy atmosphere. I had the wild mushroom pudding (suitable for vegans) served with thrice cooked chunky chips and mushy peas. One of the tastiest meals I've ever had! Highly recommend 😊

Great food and nice atmosphere. I went for the Chicken, Bacon and cabbage pie with chips and gravy. It was full of flavour, well presented and very filling. I would definitely return here again in the future.

Highly recommend going on a Wednesday for 50 percent off food - we also used the happy hour deal on drinks which is on till 7! We had two cocktails each, I also had a pilsner, we shared a starter, onion rings and had a main each. Our bill was just under £50 for the two of us, which is amazing value for money. The service was overall quite good, especially from the lovely girl behind the bar who took our food order. Food came a lot quicker than expected and was all really tasty and fresh. The chips and onion rings were unreal - we both really enjoyed our mains. However, we was disappointed at how tiny the portion size was for the pork belly small plate - 3 small pieces for £8 (without 50 percent off) seems a lot. We would definitely return for the Wednesday deal as really good value for money in a lovely venue - would recommend booking rather than walk-in :)

Chicken and leek pie was absolutely 10/10 unreal. I actually keep thinking about it since. Gammon was a bit disappointing as it was essentially a thin bit of ham rather than a steak. Bevs are good and service is great + loads of places to sit 👌🏻

Just popped in for a quick drink and stayed for at least four! It was buzzing and busy. The DJ's were fantastic, friendly and the music was awesome. Their first night there too. A great venue. Been many times

There are regular offers on food/drink in The Bay Horse, so it’s worth popping in for decent scran and a great pint of Guinness. I like the food presented here, whether on offer or not and like to visit a couple of times a month.

Monday night pie and a pint (plus chips, gravy, and mushy peas) for £10? How could anyone say no to that? The food was absolutely delicious and at those sort of prices it was like falling back through time to the early 2000s, albeit in a classy, modern space. Really lovely pub that doesn't try too hard to fit in amongst all the messy Northern Quarter cocktail bars. I would really recommend for those looking for a quiet drink and decent food.

Absolutely loved it here. A lovely dog friendly pub. The staff were uber friendly. The food was to die for - I had one of the pies and it was delicious. Recommend 100%.

Lovely little pub on Thomas Street. The Happy Hour rates are great, we paid only 6 pound for 2 pints! After happy hour, it rose to a more standard rate of about 5.50 a pint. Staff were friendly, and gave good service. My only complaint is that the outdoor seating closes at 10PM, and the music on inside is quite loud, so it’s not ideal if you want to talk. But it is not a huge problem or way too loud. I would recommend this pub!

Having booked a table for 5 people, the start of our meal was very pleasant, the waitress was very helpful and gave us the time to properly look through the changed menu and to catch up with the rest of the table. Ordering starters pork belly starter and pie for mains, and various drinks, we enjoyed the surroundings on a hot Saturday night. As a Hindu I don't eat beef and had explained that to the waitress, it was another member of my table that said the chips were cooked in beef drippings. After sorting that small issue, we enjoyed our drinks. The pork belly starter was fantastic, really was good, you do need to try it, crispy and flavoursome. On the menu it did say the pie would take longer, which wasn't a problem for us and when it came that was also pretty tasty. The issue we had when asking for the desserts, we had to approach the bar to place our order, one of our party went up and was met with a snide comment and was told to order with another person. We ordered two Honey and ginger creme brulé and sticky toffee pudding, both were good, nothing really to shout about. The issue we had was when paying for the bill, total came to around £170, again taking the bill up to the bar to pay we didn't feel that service we had received warranted the £17 charge, instead we wanted to leave something less, we each paid the amount we thought was appropriate, covering the bill and extra for the tip, wanting to leave £15 instead. Once we all paid and leaving the pub, we were told that we were still short, we did ask if the service charge was optional and the person behind the bar said there was still money to be paid, the interaction left the evening sour and wasn't the experience I had expected. Good food but service could be improved.

Nipped in for a mid shopping drink, great service, good selection of quality beers and gins, great atmosphere. Will be back for food as it smells and looks amazing.

Difficult to rate this pub. We booked a table for four for Sunday lunch. All of us chose the roast beef. The veg and yorkies were great. Martin Meekat loved it but the beef was very tough. The lovely waitress apologised and offered alternatives. We declined as the rest of the food was good. They cut our food and drinks bill in half which was really impressive. Our haddock goujon starters were also good as was my Brightside Odins beer. The ladies had a £30 bottle of rosé. A bit pricey. This seems mainly a food pub with table on the ground floor and a good sized basement room where the kitchen and toilets are also to be found. (There is an accessable toilet on the ground floor.) There is a small bar area for dedicated drinkers like Martin. Not happy about card only so cannot give 5*. Giving 4* for their handling of the issue.

We enjoyed taking advantage of the January 50% off food deal that they were running. We've never been before and glad we did. It was busy which was a little loud at points when there was a large group, but, after they left it was better. Next time I'll ask to be sat downstairs. It was nice to have an atmosphere tho. The staff were super friendly. The food was lovely, classic pub dishes down with a difference. I ordered the Hot Pot which was not gravy like usual but perfectly slow-cooked meat filling the pot. My Wife ordered the burger, it was one of the best I've ever had. For dessert, I got the sticky toffee pudding which wasn't covered in sauce but solid toffee, my wife got the honey creme brule which was, as she said, a taste sensation.

A nice cosy place to spend an evening with some friends. I was pleased with the quality and tastiness of my cheese & onion pie. Definitely a tavern worth visiting!

Went with no reservation for Sunday dinner after seeing other reviews and can honestly say this was the best pub roast I've had in a long time... Maybe ever. Staff found us space to sit down even though it was busy. Table service was great and the beer selection is good too. It did take a while for our food to come but the staff kept us in the loop and made us aware there may be a wait so it was fine. Great pub.

Went for a meal with the 50% off offer during August and was not disappointed. Tried the vegan mushroom pudding which is a new addition to the menu and it is delicious! Served with mushy peas, gravy and chips. I'd happily pay full price for this dish. The wine was affordable also. We sat downstairs where there is an open kitchen. Only point of improvement is that I asked a server if they have vegan mayo and she said 'No I don't think so' and walked away without checking. We then asked the chef and he said 'yes of course! And happily gave us some mayo'. The girl should have checked this.

Decent fish and chips, portion could have been a bit bigger for £14 but was good. Chips were excellent though. Service friendly and prompt.

Went there for Sunday roast with our furbabies. It’s good that they have outdoor area where we can enjoy our food under the Sunday with our babies. The vibes was good and the staff is helpful and friendly. The portion of the food was good too just the beef was a bit overcook. Otherwise it would be perfect.

👍👍 I was craving curry during my stay in Manchester. And Google suggested this place to me. It's in the centre, almost 6 minutes away from my hotel. The interior design is very hip and it has a great vibe. The music that is being played is modern. The curry was amazing. And the prices were perfect for...
