Unbelievable experience and a fantastic date night for anyone in Manchester or coming to Manchester. Great safety briefing before hand followed by 30 minutes of hysterical fun. Really friendly staff and cheap drinks. Looking forward to visiting again.

Had the best time! Booked to be part of a group and turned out to be just two, however the staff was absolutely welcoming, heart warming and hilarious. Getting told that I gave off Paloma faith vibes was the highlight. Would recommend anyone doing this as part of a fun day out! Would recommend and organise all day every day!

Absolutely cracking spot! Great fun in the cages although the shoulders and arms are aching now! Ajay is proper friendly and gave us a great introduction to the batting cages and all of the other staff are warm and friendly. Even if you aren’t a baseball fan or had no experience. It’s well worth having a go and going for a Homer

Absolutely class, AJ was lush and really welcoming, brilliant fun smashing some balls and getting some rage out! Off the beaten track but worth finding!

Luis and AJ really looked after us at the experience. We had a hour in the batting cage and (although we were quite terrible at it!!) the activity was really fun and all the tech worked brilliantly. Friendly and fun and that’s all we needed. We also got some sweeties :) Thanks guys.

Came here as a work night out, it was great fun. The staff explained what to do and left us to it, which I personally much preferred as people could decide how involved they wanted to get. Great drinks selection: cocktails were really tasty. Setting was fun and unique, and the staff were lovely and welcoming to our dogs.

Absolutely class Saturday night , first time going and won’t be the last. Can’t remember the two lads names that sorted us out (definitely too many steins) but the vibes were Immaculate and can’t thank you two enough for the good night

I visited this awesome Base bar on Wednesday evening. The atmosphere was really chilled and we felt super comfortable. The two gentlemen working that evening were super friendly, kind and accommodating. This truly is a hidden gem and I certainly will be returning. Aaron Pickup.

First time at Base Bar, booked the 30mins. Couldn't help but extend a further 30 as we got into the swing of it. AJ was a great host and encouraged healthy competition. Good choice of drinks and a great space. Would recommend for a date with a difference!

A great place to go for an activity with friends or a date (first date for us) the manager was super welcoming, chatty and really made us feel at ease. Everything was explained well and we felt comfortable with what we needed to do. Can’t wait to come back again with some more friends.

AJ was very informative and friendly and he made us feel comfortable and safe. We had so much fun at the batting cages. Nice place to come just to try something different from a normal bar! Drinks were all fair priced but the batting cages themselves are quite expensive for the time limit given. Staff was very friendly & the front half of the bar has board games you can bring to your table

I absolutely loved this place. The batting cages were lots of fun, quite challenging but it is really satisfying when you do get a great hit in. The bar itself had such a beautiful atmosphere. Everyone there seemed really lovely and it just felt extremely friendly. Sara, who was working behind the bar was doing an incredible job. She really went above and beyond. She had a lovely dog called Onyx and there were actually a few dogs there. They were all very well behaved and very cute. I will definitely be returning I loved it.

Visited with partner at 5.30 on a Friday evening. Chilled out place with nice, friendly staff. Fun way to kick off the weekend and do something different. Way harder than it looks - took us about 10 mins to get the hang of it!

Great staff and venue, we turned up as a small group on a Sunday and had the place to ourselves. It might benefit from a happy hour or cheaper batting cage prices during quieter hours to bring in more people. Will happily be back in the future!

Had a great time here on a night out. If you are wanting to do something a bit different and have a laugh this is a great experience, book an hour rather than 30 mins so you have more time to get into it. Staff were really friendly and service was great. Will definitely be going again next time we are in Manchester

We had a great time at Base Bar. It was a fun little place tucked away, with a great atmosphere and lots of fun things to do. We went for my husbands birthday and took the kids (13 & 9) with us. We all had a lot of fun and it was great to do something a little different. We’d definitely go again!

Been here a few times now with the kids and adults. Great activity that is enjoyable for everyone. A few beers and a few shots on the kids completing the Managers challenges. Win win :) Thanks for a cracking afternoon. Kids loved it a so did the parents.

Came here with a group of friends for my Birthday and we had such a good time (even though we weren’t particularly good at batting!). The staff are so lovely and the cocktails are 10/10. Will definitely be going back again!

Was good fun and a good way to spend a half hour. Was welcomed and introduced to the place and the fella running it was very friendly and helpful. I got my session through a separate company as a monthly subscription so it cost a lot less than the going rate (£30/30min), if I were to pay full price I would find it rather expensive so would need to get it on a sale day or something.

Enjoyed my time, and we had a lot of fun. Just a few improvements to the place that could be had. There aren’t amazing drink options, or food options and the loo is a little bit grim. I also wondered if the bats had been sanitised or not after use. Further to that, if they had games machines or basketball toss or something it’d keep vendors there for longer. Saying all of the above though, the staff were so helpful and really nice. Were really quick at the bar and talked us through what to do in a professional but understandable manner. Also the price (I think) is very reasonable.

Found the place to be musty and the batting cage we had fired the ball at neck height, if we wanted it lower they had to slow it down, also my mate tried to cheat the scoring too but not their fault. Staff were friendly and place was interesting.

Absolutely phenomenal service! I cannot find a single fault. Staff are lovely and incredibly friendly. There’s so much fun to be had and the pricing is so reasonable. Honestly feels like a hidden gem. I love this place so much!! We live around an hour away but make the trip as often as possible. This place is honestly worth EVERY PENNY! We are a men's mental health organisation, and Si and his staff did a fantastic job of welcoming us and adjusting our needs so that we could have a great time. The experience itself was heaps of fun, we only had 2 people in the cage which was perfect for the time really. Cool bar area but you’re only really there to play the baseball thing. Very expensive at £30 for half an hour, and there’s a few minutes to explain the rules etc. Probably wouldn’t go back just based on the price but still cool

Rather disappointed after this latest visit to Base. Felt rushed into and out of the cage even though there wasn't anyone else after us waiting to play. Surely if you have a group of 7 punters wantung to have a good time, you'd want to encourage to stay and buy more drinks? No food available and the video games that were set up last time, were packed away and no offer to set them up when we asked. Where's the buzz gone? Real shame as the cage time was a right laugh, just needed a warmer welcome and a reason to stay longer

Great group activity. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. 5 of us in one batting cage for an hour left us wanting more but still feeling like we'd had a good go each.

Fun time and make a mean bubblegum cocktail! Was for sure to loud for us personally as 2 people with autism so quiet senstive to sound. But even with that in mind was just overall very loud. Staff were very friendly and nice to talk to. Would be great if they showed off a basic batting technique during the safty talk my partner pointed out. For sure recommend if sound is not a major issue for you.

My first time here after hearing such good reviews about the bar, staff and batting from friends. And now I can second everything they said. The staff are so accomodations, friendly and fun felt like they were a part of my party, the bar is the perfect size not too big or small and not very busy which creates a intimate environment for friends/celebrations. The batting cages were so much fun and just 30 mins is so much time to have a blast. Defo will be coming back :D

Great fun to try out baseball. Friendly service and good instructions and tips from the staff helped us get the most out of the game. The scoring helps add some competition, even if you’re just play against yourself and keep trying to beat your own score.

Amazing staff and the drinks are awesome! We booked a 30 min slot and after about 10 mins of instructions we had great fun batting away for 20 mins. Unfortunately, for £30 this is obscenely overpriced. Would love to give the full 5 stars but the pricing here needs to be at least 50% of what it currently is for all customers as for the same price I can get an entire day in a theme park...

Great place, great day out, Id recommend booking the hour because 30min FLEW BY afterwards we played around with their selection of games and enjoyed a drink, great night out!!
