Salut bills itself as the ‘best wine shop in Manchester’, for good reason. A place dedicated to great wine and tasty nibbles that’s in the heart of the city. As well as serving by the bottle, they run a Corivan dispensing system where you can try great wines by the glass. Top tip: the outdoors seating on the Fountain St side catches the early evening sun on a nice day. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, nice vibes. Try it.

Excellent wine bar to come and try multiple different wines. We used the wine machines and ordered a meat and cheese board. Service was amazing, as was the food and wine. We will be back!

Staff very good. Interesting idea of a wine vending machine. Load a card with an amount you want then try various wines. 3 options fot each wine of small, medium or large glass. Not sways easy to see if bottle is nearly empty. I ended up with a glass of air which at around £3.50, was expensive. However staff resolved the problem quickly.

Friendly service, very good snacks, and a great range of wines including some more interesting and unusual ones. The ordering process could be improved - the menu is only online, no paper, which is fine but you can't order online, only in person and it feels a little disjointed. This is my regular wine bar in Manchester though - I haven't come across another to exceed it yet!

It was fantastic!! I went to Salut for the wine tasting. The experience was amazing, and the connoisseurs were very informative and happy to answer any questions about the wine. A superb variety of wines and champagnes were available for us to taste. I will most surely return for another wine tasting and would highly recommend it for a chill night out. The only thing I would suggest is adding a few more nibbles to go with the vines.

Had such a great time at Salut! Not a huge wine fan so ordered the lemoncello spritzer which was fantastic. Also tried the Elderflower but the lemoncello had the edge. We were served by Morven who was really awesome, very friendly and welcoming. We ordered some meats and cheeses, was very impressed with the presentation and taste. Thick cuts of prosciutto, delicious balsamic onions, fresh bread. Perfect nibbles while we drank. One of the best charcuterie plates I’ve tasted! Love the look of this wine bar, they have all the wines on display so you can browse and choose what you fancy. They have table service which was great, staff very knowledgeable and fun to chat with! Can’t wait to go back!

Really nice wine bar, they have a variety of good wines from all over the world. I was happy to see that they even had wines from my country. I also tried the orange wine they have it was great! The staff were lovely, would go back there again !

We would give 6 stars if we could! Salut hosted our pre-wedding drinks and they couldn’t have been more amazing; Bob made the planning process painless, the drinks, food and service on the night were brilliant and our guests had an amazing time. We would highly recommend Salut if you’re planning an event in Manchester! Thanks again to the team :)

Never visited here before and what a great experience! We hadn't booked but the friendly staff quickly seated us. Good choice of wines, we had a couple of carafes with some small plates and bar snacks which were all delicious. Will definitely return.

An amazing wine bar, with a fantastic (and friendly). The prices are more than reasonable for some truly excellent wines. (Although it's missing my favourite wine, Two Paddocks) which I can find elsewhere in the area. Their food menu, which has recently been updated is great for grazing on, with some truly scrumptious options. The cheese and meat boards are a must when we go. Their main draw however is their 'vending machine' of wine, which offers different glasses of wine weekly. An ingenious idea which keeps bringing us back. They have regular events which we've yet to go to, but have heard how fun they are. Overall, its a fantastic place, well worth a visit and to become anyone's local wine bar to go on a semi regular basis.

A great alternative to beer!! Lovely place and a very kind service. winery with a selection of wines from Italy to France and South Africa. we drank an Italian rosé, good and fresh. Recommended!!

Been to three wine tasting events now and always leave learning so much . The staff are incredible helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. There is a great selection of food to nibble on to accompany their ever expanding wine collection (400+) from around the world. It's great for a cozy date night or a cheeky afternoon treat to yourself. 10/10

We had the loveliest time here yesterday. The atmosphere and wines were amazing and the service was perfect. Thank you Andy for looking after us so well. We’ll definitely be back.

We stumbled upon this place and decided to pop in for a drink. We were quickly greeted and taken to a table upstairs. The place was warm and inviting - just what was needed on a cold, damp winter evening. Service was good, and the champagne hit the spot! In fact it was so good, we decided to head back the following evening. Unfortunately, on Saturday evening, the service was slightly slower. We had to ask to order drinks, and we had to chase them up once ordered. We also had to request the bill on a couple of occasions. However, this was noted, and the waiter kindly deducted the olives and cashews (both exceptionally tasty) from our bill - a lovely and very appreciated gesture. I would definitely go back, and next time, I'd sample a charcuterie board, as the ones being served to surrounding tables looked very tasty. Shout out to the very friendly security guard on the door, too! He was lovely and friendly, taking time to speak to us on both evenings.

The wine on offer tonight was absolutely delicious. The staff are very friendly, genuine and attentive. This is by far the best place in Manchester to sample wine, eat some delicious cheese and wine and unwind 🍷🧀

Staff is very nice. Good place to a drink with friends with a number of choice of wine and beers. Just around the street corner, conveniently located. The only disappointment is cannot order through app.

After driving past this venue for 2 years we finally was able to visit after work. I feel I have missed out by leaving it so long. The staff was amazing. The wine selection is amazing. We shall certainly see you again soon. Thanks guys. X

Had a lovely evening here with some really nices wines and helpful and accurate descriptions. Had some food too, well presented and tasted great. Staff were friendly and attentive. Felt very nice and relaxed atmosphere too. Great for if you don't want a full on meal but just somewhere to enjoy someone's company and have a little bite to eat.

Last week, I have ordered a bottle of wine at Salut wines online. Salut wines has been very helpful with all my request throughout the process. We have had smooth conversation via email. Quick and very thoughtful responses. Therefore, I have experienced great service at Salut wines. I would definitely recommend buying here.

Such a great place to have a date night! Salut does wine tasting but it is self serve so you can pick your wine and serve yourself almost like a soda fountain machine. The wine and cheese were great, the service was excellent and they have tables outside to enjoy the Manchester nightlife from the view of your table.

Nice location just off the beaten track, cheese board was OK, great selection of wine and other drinks. One of the servers was lovely. Whilst the other was a bit cold and not as pleasant.
