Always been a decent pub in the town centre but only recently called in after a good amount of time lockdown etc. Looks like they have a good few things going on throughout the month and the pub was quite busy when I visited. I have to say I was not a fan of Holts lager years ago but it's come on leaps and bounds and its now a good decent pint. Standards look high on keeping the pub clean and the bar staff were friendly overall would definitely recommend a visit.

Wonderful Joseph Holt pub a short walk from Albert Sq. Had my first Joe Holt's bitter 49 years ago and still love it. Lovely pub with a small roof terrace. Too many TV'S for Madge. Flat Eric loves the ambieance and beer. Holt famiky still run this local brewery and spend their profits on their pubs. Great value food and meal deals..Curry Thursday or Fish Friday. Sunday roast. Well worth a visit.

Nice pub, went for a drink after work. Wasn't too expensive or busy for a Thursday night so managed to get a booth. Decent drink options and crisp selection. Barman was very friendly too.

Friendly city centre pub. It's a Holt so can get a decent selection of their brewery drinks, all of which are part of the Manchester culture. Staff were friendly and attentive. Nice chilled atmosphere. Bit of an after work pub but good for anyone to go to. Will return

Brilliant pub. It’s a Holts’ pub so the beer is both cheap and delicious. Good location, just by the town hall. They have sports on the TVs too

Popular pub in town. Been many times for a few swift pints. A proper pub for mates to catch up and enjoy a good laugh and drink.

Very friendly staff, good atmosphere The only down site is toilet We had our function room on the top floor and the toilets were in basement, meaning two flights of stairs,on your high heels, every time you want to "powder your nose " Other then that highly recommended

Nice city centre pub with reasonable prices. Food service a little slow but the bar staff did warn us and the quality of the all day breakfast could have been better but generally ok Bar staff were very helpful.

Clean, friendly boozer set over multiple floors, with a wide range of Joey Holts ale, lagers wines and spirits. Good food menu, for something on the go. Large screen TV's for news and sport.

Nice bar/pub with a good vibe. 2 ladies behind the bar were really polite and helpful! Would recommend for anyone fancying a drink in Manchester. Was fairly quiet when we arrived on Sunday around 8pm but picked up around 9. 🙂

Devastated A beautiful old pub. How sad to see its guts ripped out and trendy open plan + easy chairs replacing the original character. I won't be visiting there again

A lovely pub in Manchester city centre. Great selection of drinks, real ales, wine etc. Full food menu all reasonably priced The place was very clean, and there is a disabled toilet on the ground floor. Special mention to the two lads serving behind the bar, they were really nice and friendly and very efficient. Well worth a visit.

Went in for a couple of drinks with some friends, good old Holt's boozer, fairly priced, plenty of the old favourites with some new delights to try, nice looking place and welcoming friendly staff, well worth a visit.

Never been a great fan of Holts, even as a dyed in the wool manc. But this place is OK. Plenty of seating and bar service is prompt and professional. Ambiance is good and friendly (but this is Manchester, what else would you expect)? Bouncers on the door as we left (around 6 ish) might indicate a more boisterous evening crowd?

Proper pub...we always have a drink in here as we wait for the X41 bus coming home. Good prices and great comfy chairs around the round table at the right hand side of the bar..😉

A good old pub, great atmosphere, Manchester vibe, good selection of soft and hard drinks. Many TV screens for sport etc. Front windows open wide to allow good flow of fresh air in these Civid19 conditions. Situated close to town centre with great bus routes to local areas. Bar staff were excellent and made you feel like a local of theirs from 1st visit! Great seating arrangement for intimate or large group gatherings. Just pop in and enjoy! We went to the comedy club upstairs which had an open Mike session on a Wednesday evening. It wasn't very busy, so most of the audience was made up of acts, not the easiest of gigs. We really enjoyed it... Not the best for quality on the night we went but that's the joy of an open Mike night... You just never know.... Without these places we don't get future stars so it deserves your support

First time visiting. Nice atmosphere and reasonably priced drinks. Handy for the bus home (just outside). Sat inside with the bus app open and waited.

Friendly, accommodating staff, good selection of beers (I didn't try them because I was driving) good food at a reasonable price, food allergies and intolerance considered when preparing. Got really busy for the football shown on big screens.

Visited on a Friday evening, around 11pm. The lager was awful - tasted watered down. My partner had the stout, as they didn't have Guinness and recommended this. Equally as bad as the lager according to him. We probably had 3 sips and left the rest of the pints as they were so bad. Staff were lovely, shame about the quality of the drinks.

A great Holts' pub just around the corner from Albert Square. Plenty of screens so you won't miss any of the sports action going on. Comedy nights on a Wednesday in the bar upstairs.

Brilliant in the middle of Manchester place for food and drink options, with buses and Metrolink just around on the next streets along. Good range of things to have at the bar and a good menu choices available at any time of day that they are open.
