Nice, attentive staff, and a good selection for both drinking and eating. I only had a coffee because I wanted to sit out in the sun but I would come back to watch football, as I noticed the indoor booths had TVs in them. The menu looked great!

It was nice - but nothing like you see on Facebook etc. The £10 lunch menu is a good deal, but the price of any alcoholic drinks is extortionate! Food was average, but felt really underwhelmed as when I’d seen photos advertising on social media, it ended up nothing like this (a lot smaller and not as appealing). Staff were nice enough though.

Came for brunch with my son before heading to Chinatown for Chinese New Year celebrations. It was 11ish so not busy yet. Ladies who served us were friendly. My son had the French Toast and I opted for the pancakes. Happy with the portion sizes and coffee was nice too. Was pleasantly surprised.

Food was delicious, couldn’t fault any of it. Nicely decorated, clean and service was good. Would definitely return

Interesting place to grab a burger and fries! We went here for dinner with my work colleagues. It was a Monday so the pub was empty. The service was amazing. She really knew her stuff and was able to make recommendations. The portion size is huge so it's impossible not to leave with your belly full. It terms of taste it was more than decent. The beer was nice also and quite a good price actually. It's also one of the few places in Manchester which you can get food late in the evening so that was convenient. Give it a try!

Came in for a coffee as all the cafes near by were extremely busy, was one of the nicest coffees i have had. The lad on shift was super friendly & welcoming. Didnt get food as i wasnt hungry but food did look lovely!

Small tucked away grill bar. Fancy cocktails and reasonable price. Food is insanely good and cheap for the quality. Shout out to chef Austin for perfecting the steak. Quick service and food is piping hot. Friendly team. I'd recommend the brisket beef to be tried if it's your first time!

A strange place I came here for an event in the downstairs club area. Upon arrival I asked the disinterested waitress where the event was and she was quite short with me. Great start. I sat and waited for my friends, while waiting I ordered a raspberry cocktail. It tasted strangely of sesame, bit weird. Then on my friends arrival I ordered another cocktail named ‘soda pop’ which also tasted of sesame?! Weird. Bartender same as waitress, very lacklustre service. Perhaps they were having a bad day? The menu was filled with junk food. Just burgers, fries and tots. I found it hard to chose because tbh fried food isn’t really my kind of thing. In the end I settled for the Chips, cheese and gravy. The food came quickly, was fresh and hot. The chips were crispy and the gravy was very flavourful. It was really nice! Maybe a bit expensive at £7 though. Wish there had been a couple of healthier options. Downstairs is a big event area with pool, table tennis and darts. There was also a dance floor and DJ. There was a good atmosphere downstairs and it’s a bit like a warren with one room leading to another. I had a really good time in the downstairs area. Bouncers friendly and respectful. We sat outside for a while as well, great place to sit and drink. Benches a little wobbly though! My friend fell off 😂 We have some strawberry flavoured tequila shots which were surprisingly tasty and refreshing. I’m defo going back for the club night!

Went for brunch. Loved it. Had waffles with chicken, bacon and maple syrup. Was very tasty. Good selection of foods, breakfasts, pancakes, waffles wraps etc.. All looked really nice coming out. Selection of hot/cold and alcoholic drinks. Very rustic looking, with wooden tables. Clean and inviting. Staff very friendly. Would def go again and recommend to friends.

The Double Og burger and fries, buffalo chicken wings, prawn toast, pretty nice to be frankly speaking. Got a good appetite enjoying the lunch there, a great variety of flavors to eat, and we got the mocktails for drinks.

Great little place for a quick bite to eat with the kids on Sunday just gone. Me and my husband got waffles and the kids got pancakes. All was eaten up and one ate the rest of the chocolate sauce on the plate!. I would eat there again without the kids so me and my husband and enjoy more cocktails. Only one hiccup was there was lipstick on one of my children's cups but it was swiftly taken care off. The staff were brilliant in every way. Highly recommended going!

This was a regular stop when visiting Manchester, haven’t been since early in the year. Called in today with my daughter and I noticed how things had improved. Tables no longer sticky, Fantastic attentive staff, same menu however food much improved. Food now served on plates rather than the tacky plastic bowls they used to use. When I came to pay the bill, I asked what’s changed? A nice gentleman who apparently is the manager not sure if manager or owner but simply said it had changed hands in June. Clearly the new manager/owner who is now in charge has made some great changes.

We did the disco brunch thought it was just a pub with a disco ball. The food was ok, would have been better if the menu had descriptions of the meals, a lot of us couldn’t eat the food due to it including ingredients were allergic too. However, the waiters were very attentive, took drinks orders quickly and were accommodating.

I will preface this by saying we had booked in on the women's final day, so the place was a bit busier than usual. However, the amount of waiting we did wasn't reasonable despite this. I'd probably give 2.5 stars if Google would let me, but I don't think 3/5 is deserved. Pros: Food was honestly quite nice. We came for brunch and everyone's food was well presented and well received. Cons: Honestly can't recommend this place until the service is sorted out. We didn't receive our first drinks until nearly an hour into being there. When our iced coffees arrived, the milk must have been gone, as there was an awful taste in it. The server did not seem apologetic about this at all, however they were replaced in reasonable time. It took over an hour for our food to get to us. The server that took over our table was apologetic for the wait and told us this is how long it was taking today, which I appreciate but wish we'd been told this at the door. I think this place could be really great, but it came across as poorly managed and the staff were not on it.

Visited for a colleague's leaving do. Staff were amazing, attentive and able to read the group well. Most ate and couldn't find a fault with any dish. Lots of options for the vegetarians and stacks of options for the carnivorous types. The Vim[p]to cocktail was the favourite if the evening.

Food arrived at a fairly average speed for a Saturday night, however the quality of the food was amazing, and the portion sizes were massively generous. They were pretty full, and we didn’t have a reservation around peak food time on a Saturday - but they still accommodated us nonetheless. Good wise selection of food with interesting looking cocktails too.

If you like sport days and delicious junk food this is the spot! They have the most amazing burgers, wings and more as well as a great cocktail selection with 2 for 1 days and other discounts announced weekly on their social media pages. Highly recommend! Great staff

Accidentally went at the time of disco brunch on a killer hangover, so did myself and the place a dis-service with the loud music but the staff were very helpful and the good high quality! I had steak and eggs like a true champion.

I liked the shack but it doesn't look like how you see it on the pictures, the shack and lost Weekend are one place pool was good and the other games we also had food at the shack and I been waiting for ages to try it, I have seen the pictures and they look great in our order was a burger 🍔 with gravy the burger wasn't massive it was nice but the gravy wasn't in a pot it was being soaked up by the bottom of the bun, halloumi wrapped in bacon was fantastic just wished there was more of it and we got a chicken kebab 🥙 which was just chicken on top of chips. Service was good the staff are friendly and was on point, the food was tasty but I think my expectations from the pictures were deflated when food arrived

Absolutely delicious food, cute place and lovely ambience. The brisket toast is the best tasting food I've had in the UK in a long time. Full of flavour and the flavours all complemented each other - the tender beef which was beautifully spiced, rocket (not too much or overwhelming!), Sriracha, poached eggs, spring onions and sourdough toast were the perfect combination. Divine. My husband had the buffalo chicken waffles (which were the reason we ventured out to Shack in the first place - he woke up with a hankering for chicken waffles!) and they were also delicious (though I still think mine was the winner 😉). Only reason one star is lost is the service was super slow, through no fault of the waiters - they were all super and running around helping a very busy restaurant and doing their best, but it was obvious with the amount of people that they were very understaffed. Everything else... Absolutely fantastic! Definitely worth the wait.

We booked here based on their Facebook adverts but we didn't find it to be like they described. The food was OK but it was more like a little bar than a proper eatery. They didn't even ask us our name on booking they just plonked us down and were also accepting people coming in off the street even though they were already too busy. I'm sorry to say that our experience wasn't what we expected from what the adverts promised.

Went to the Disco Bottomless Brunch on a Saturday, very busy which meant service was a little bit slow, food took a while too but when my French Toast came it was delicious!

  • 1/5 Emily M. 1 year ago on Google
Food was good but service was so slow and unacceptable! The guy serving was more interested in talking to people than serving us. It took a while for our order to be taken. When the food came, after a while, some of it did not even come and when mentioned that some of our food had not come he just said oh sorry and did not proceed to bring over the forgotten food so I had to ask for it to be taken off the bill. Then it was 50% off food on Mondays if booked online (where a £10 deposit had to be made) he did not take the deposit off the bill! Service was awful but the burger was nice, due to bad service would not return.

Unfortunately, a ridiculous long wait, bad presentation and not the best food. Quite wasteful on food, actually! Went there on a Tuesday for a late lunch. It was not busy at all, maybe other 3 or 4 tables. Ordered the lunch deal. The 𝙬𝙖𝙞𝙩 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙨𝙤 𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜. The waitress took the drinks order quickly, but after that... we were hardly spoken to :/ The drinks took so long (couple of soft drinks). And after we ordered the food (two simple burgers), it took forever to arrive! The wait was so long, that 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙖𝙥𝙚𝙧 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙬𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙠𝙨 𝙗𝙚𝙜𝙖𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙢𝙚𝙡𝙩!! When the food finally arrived... the presentation was so bad :( I get that it is more like a casual place to go and watch sports (even if the place looks like a nice, old pub), but the look of the place just really doesn't match the poor, plastic, 𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙖𝙨𝙠𝙚𝙩𝙨 where the burgers and chips were served. It looked more like getting food from a truck by the beach. And the burgers were not really tasty. Actually, 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙠𝙚𝙙 𝙨𝙤 𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙥! Buns, a piece of yellow lettuce and the patty. They looked like homemade burgers... but not in the nice way. Finally, even if you might think it's great when you are brought a plate full of tasty chips... it is clear that no-one would be able to eat them all. So, if the selling point is to waste food... so, so sad! I checked all the other tables, and everyone left at least 1/4 of the chips. Not cool. I guess it might be a cool place for drinks and some snacks, but I don't think it is good for a proper meal.

I went here for a friends birthday at the weekend for the bottomless disco brunch. I was slightly apprehensive as I’ve previously had bad experiences with bottomless brunch (not here) and wanted to make sure it was worth the money, especially as went for the £40 option. The service, drinks and food here were all amazing. Our server, unfortunately I didn’t get her name, was so lovely, she was constantly at our table when anyone needed another drink. Nothing was too much, and for the whole time we were there I didn't see her stop once. The food, although it took a while, was really nice, more than I expected. There was 11 of us and it was quite busy being a Saturday. I had the avocado on toast and it was delicious, the wait also wasn’t bad as we had a constant supply of drinks. A member of our group was also slightly late so they started our time from then which we didn’t even realise. I never usually leave reviews but I really appreciated the service, especially the girl who served us, and would recommend to anyone for a bottomless brunch. By the end of the brunch I was very drunk, therefore it was a success as I didn’t need to drink for the rest of the night! 10/10 would recommend. And thank to you the staff who are clearly very good at their job, we really appreciated the lovely service. Especially their patience as it can’t be easy taking that many drink orders, even more so bad people start to get more drunk! Thank You ☺️

👍👍 I was craving curry during my stay in Manchester. And Google suggested this place to me. It's in the centre, almost 6 minutes away from my hotel. The interior design is very hip and it has a great vibe. The music that is being played is modern. The curry was amazing. And the prices were perfect for...
