I feel compelled to write a negative review about the old pint pot. (Don't order food here) Let me start by saying that it's a nice place to have a drink and a sit down and play some pool (as all pubs should) decent atmosphere like 👍 👌 BUT..the food they serve here is an absolute joke, and I recommend you to save your money and eat somewhere else... I went to order a burger, and then they returned by saying that they don't have buns 😅..I then asked for fish and chips, but they said they had no fish, only chips 🤔...so I ordered oven made cheesey chips and onion rings...and I was highly disappointed that it was THE SMALLEST PORTION SIZE I'VE EVER SEEN.. This portion would only be for fit for a medieval peasant, and nothing else. I complained to the chef and manager, who both lacked accountability by saying that it wasn't their fault, and it was the franchising managers issue....🧐 Regards, Kauri

Great energy and vibes, with lovely indoor and outdoor seating. Staff are exceptional and went the extra mile with their service, and the food was excellent. I would recommend the Ultimate Burgers for all the burger fans out there.

September 2022: this used to be a great place with a good selection of craft ale. Now, it has a poor choice of craft ale. In fact, non existent. A student vibe, alcoholics and wannabe Salford gangsters limping about in grey tracksuits, white trainers and CEX drawstring bags. Very disappointed and expected far more. Great view though, if sat outside and I'm sure the pub grub is edible. Dog friendly. Nice and clean, great for lager drinkers and those wanting a cheap pint. Has a Weatherspoons vibe. Cheap and cheerful! Has potential. Lots of potential!

An absolute hidden 💎 I worked opposite this establishment for almost a year and never ever visited (I don't regret many thing's but this is one of them) especially during the summer months 😔 WOW! My partner works at Salford Uni, so last wk I had finished work prior to her and had half an hour to kill, decided to pop in 😯 The Staff / The Music / The Lager / The Setting 🥰 Right up my street, wish I'd of taken more photos to verify my genuine like for this place, the fact the owner "Deano" is a Boro lad does sway my opinion slightly "NGL" Especially after he gifted me a beer runner for my home-made bar 🙏 Love the place.. Will post more photos next week when I'm back next week 💯 % ❤👊

Great pub tucked away with great views! Staff were great, barman knew his stuff and pints were great! Picturesque setting down by the river, great for a relaxing pint. Welcoming & cozy inside. Didn't get chance to try the food, but hope to on the next visit.

The location is great. Hidden away from Chapel Street and all the traffic. A walkable distance from Manchester city centre and a great local pub for Salford residents. Good selection of beer and a pretty beer garden near the river. They also play sports on TV and have events upstairs (last time we went there was a metal ish band playing)

Nice pint of Guinness (£4.35) poured by the friendly and welcoming bar lady. Nice relaxed atmosphere and spacious seating area outside by the River Irwell, a true hidden gem in Salford. Give it a try.

I last reviewed this place over a year ago and have to say that the improvement is remarkable. The draft is great, the price is reasonable, and the food has definitely improved since changes to the menu over time. From 3 to 5 stars, it's clear they listen to their customers - well deserved 👏 - off for a pint shortly 🍺🍻

Very nice obliging owner or manager. Very friendly went out of his to sort my food and came out and asked me first. View is beautiful. Crazy mix of customers and furniture. I will be frequenting more. Add a few guest cask ales and it would the best pub in the world lol

Really nice pub with cheap drinks and food being fairly alright. Student population is prevalent, and as such it is a very lively place. If you want to go somewhere quiet maybe it's not exactly what you're after.

A fantastic pub with a great atmosphere and a superb team of lovely guys and gals behind the bar (and a very talented chef as the food was yummy too!). A wonderfully kind guy who worked there actually advised me on where best to find accommodation as I was completely stuck (and probably looking a bit stressed!) after missing a flight, I was so grateful. Thank you! ❤️ xx

I recently visited The Old Pint Pot, and it was a fantastic experience. The ambiance had a charming, rustic feel, perfect for a pub. The standout was the bartender, Caitlin, whose service was exceptional. She was not only efficient but also friendly, making the whole experience enjoyable. The drinks were great, and the overall atmosphere made it a memorable evening. I'll definitely be returning

I always drive past your sign and only live 5 minutes away but had never visited as I always think you are a student pub. Now I have visited we will definitely be back. Great lunch and your bar staff were excellent.

Lovely pub... to spend time outside of on a hot day. Not terrible organised and we had to queue for ages to get drinks each time. They were chronically understaffed. The fisticuffs we caught the tail end of was something of an aberration too. Never had that before. But all in all it was comfortable, quiet and a pleasant afternoon in the sun was had by all.

My son is a student in Salford just around the corner from the Old Pint Pot so we met for lunch there. We were the first through the door and had a warm welcome from the member of staff (Manager?) - who was a fellow Yorkshireman! We had a great lunch, very well prepared and served very quickly. We also got to sample a few draft beers from behind the bar, all were excellent. A thoroughly good afternoon all started in the Old Pint Pot. I hope to get back there soon.

Decent bar with loads of space, both inside and out. All the food that kept going past looked really good! We came here at about 23:30 once and were turned away even though it said it didn’t close until 1am which was a bit annoying, but it’s a great place to go after a trip to Salford SU (or, indeed, instead of…). Barstaff are attentive!

Been popping in and out of here for 25 years and I like it. A nice beer terrace overlooking the river Irwell it appears to have been renovated inside recently too. A nice pub to chill at after a visit to the Peel Park, 4*

We were looking for something to eat on the way to the AO Arena and we passed this place so thought we'd give it a go. The location is great, it's got lovely views of the river and the food was so much better than I expected. It was fantastic. The place has a great atmosphere and I'll certainly be going back next time I'm visiting the arena.

After checking and confirming on Google maps to see that this place was wheelchair accessible, I drove my daughter who has an electric chair so she could meet up with a friend. The building is about 20ft below the car park with steps to every entrance. It is completely inaccessible for wheelchair users. She had to contact her friend and arrange to meet elsewhere.

My friend bought her dog on a visit and we wanted to find a good dog friendly pub, didn't expect such an amazing view outside and how nice the atmosphere was. All the staff were really friendly as well and brill service. Never been before but will 100% be going again now, with or without the dogs

Great place to drink a beer and eat something quickly. Different kinds of beer and foot (also has a menu for kids!). The atmosphere is nice and quiet.
