Service is shocking 😲 Tables aren't clean after use, sat at a table full of dirty glasses. One female server, so slow she would be going backwards serving One guy who's a pretentious prick 🙄 not helping the female at all, even with the que was long. 29th December 2023 Will NEVER visit again!!

Best food i have had in Manchester cleared the plate

We visited on Sunday 27th Feb. The staff was really helpful and friendly. I went up to order at the bar and I have to say that it is the stickiest place I've ever visited. The bar was sticky, menus were sticky. I'm not sure what it was but it was on our table menus too. The food was really good. It took a little while so it wasn't really hot. I had Smothered Chicken and my partner had the Rump Steak. My chicken was nice but the peas and chips were cold. We had a bottle of wine we hadn't finished and a really nice boy who had brought us our food allowed us to take it outside to finish it up in the night air. This is a really nice restaurant with good food, a good atmosphere and great staff. Thank you!

Went in for a few drinks and the bar staff were very slow to serve so we sat down and ordered drinks through the app. They arrived within 4 minutes which was great. Then ordered more drinks and after 22 minutes of waiting ended up going to the bar to find out what was going on and they honestly were stood (3 of them) at the bar talking to each other. I get it can get busy and sometimes it's great to have a chat I use to do the same but never at the expense of a customer. Needless to say I won't be going back to this one again.

Been here a few times in town in the evening and it never disappoints. Great atmosphere, music, people. Though I would advise if your looking for somewhere more quiter and away from the night life I'd probably go earlier in the day, less busy and loud.

Good atmosphere, 2 for 1 cocktails always a bonus, food is okay and service is fast. Perfect place to drink lots for a little price. Not as nice as the other Slug and lettuces in the area but overall a nice place

The food was full of flavour and I was actually really surprised because the food was better than the drinks but that may be because it was happy hour - I thought may be the drinks were watered down cause it was 2-4-1 however there are 2 bartenders that made the drinks and they were absolutely lovely however the rest - not so great. Music is very diverse, i can’t tell you what the genre is as it was just a mix of everything which was nice. The atmosphere was live and loud, around 4 different hen parties were going on at the same time.

AMAZING! so on a whim we decided to go for my partners birthday just for a few drinks. We saw the free bottle of prosecco offer and ordered from the lovely Emily who helped us out and gave us an amazing bottle of prosecco with sparklers which we did not expect but LOVED! thank you for making my partners birthday amazing!!!

Lila was amazing! The best Bottomless Brunch I've ever had!! She's a star and considering how many of us there were she handlelde it greatfully. Much Love and ill be back

Booked a Bottomless Brunch on a Sunday for me and 2 friends. All I can say is wow it was amazing. The service was fantastic, we never had an empty glass, the ladies serving us came to ask what we wanted next before we finished a drink. The full breakfast was lovely. Had an amazing time and such good value will definitely be coming back.

We were served by Georgia for bottomless brunch before our works do, what an amazing girl she is, absolute credit to the team, drinks came quick and she was able to answer any queries we had!! You’re so lucky to have her as staff!

Great food Reasonable prices.

Excellent place to hang-out with friends. The food was great too. I had just the chicken tikka masala serves with basmati rice and a small naan. It was wonderful.

I’ve had better Lasagne. This was obviously not made from scratch, so how hard can it be to pop a bowl in the oven and time it so it doesn’t get burned? £8.49 for this. Lovely bar and table staff though.

Don't even think I tasted alcohol in my cocktails, took us ages to get seated down. Drinks took a long time too (Bank holiday didn't help but get the right amount of staff then?) Best thing of the outing was the security guard giving us top banter! Gotta love 2 for 1 but yeah - probably won't go again.

Went earlier today, ordered a medium rare steak and a pint through the app. The pint took about 20 minutes to come out, and the steak took about 35. When the steak did come out it was clearly very well done, I asked if they could get me a medium rare one since that’s what I ordered, and then had to wait a further 30 minutes until I ended up requesting a refund. Very disappointed. Staff were pleasant and understanding at least .

Booked a table, however no one to greet so we went to the bar, staff half took my order, then vanished for 10 minutes, by this time there was a queue behind us. There was an additional 4 staff members just ignoring everyone and no apologies for the wait. We went on to order good which arrived cold. Service was terrible we drank our drinks and left much to our disappointeo, as it was my friends birthday.

Attentive staff, lovely decor! Came with my mother in law and mum, we enjoyed it! Great choice on food and drink especially the 2-4-1 cocktail menu!!

Arrived at 9.30 and asked if still doing food which the barman replied I will go and ask. He came back and said yes until 10.00. So me and my mum quickly looked at menu which was basic and ordered 2 scampi and chips which the barman replied do you want garden peas or mushy which I replied garden on both please.. I also got 2 cocktails and bill came to 30.93. Food arrived at 10.07 without any peas and just literally thrown on plate. Asked about the peas will go find out and when nearly finished food got peas which was still frozen.the girl replied dont no what's going on!!!😡

One of the best pubs in city center. I love their DJs and the food is so good and the ambiance. A little on the expensive side but well worth the money.

Good food but the overall experience was disappointing. I was seated at a dirty table. There only seemed to be one member of staff around and he was quite unfriendly. I asked to be seated in a quieter area (away from lots of people) but the table I was given was next to a loud table of three/four. As a solo diner I was uncomfortable. The cocktails were good but having to drink two of the same thing was a bit odd, and they seemed too expensive anyway. In conclusion, good meal, bad service.

Had an amazing experience at this venue the other day. We were served by a lovely lady named Alice, she was incredible helpful with what cocktails are best and was delightful to speak to. Will be returning shortly! Great venue and wonderful atmosphere created by the staff

Worth the money and quality food. The fried items were on point and did not feel any taste of bad quality meat. The garlic bread was surprisingly very good and didn’t expect that in a chicken platter. Served with three different sauces and waiter even asked if we need any extra sauces. Nice lighting and wonderful ambience with good music. Would recommend the cocktails for the 2 for 1 deal, as the cocktails were really good especially the Pinacolada.

Went in at daytime, place looked stunning 🤩, clean and fresh. Very friendly and helpful staff. Was explained the menu and approx waiting times and offered drinks 🍹 while waiting. This place has usb chargers next to the tables so saved my day 🙏🏻. Food came out hot and delicious. Went for promo cocktails 🍸 which were just on point and pleasant to enjoy.

Waited 50 minutes for our food, only to be served food missing major ingredients. Our mixed house salad did not have quinoa, broccoli, sugar-snap peas, slow-roasted tomatoes, peas, or pomegranate. It didn’t even come with dressing. Secondly, our tomato and basil pasta did not have slow-roasted tomatoes, sugar-snap peas, or rocket. Fortunately we got a complete refund. Worst dining experience ever. Never going here again.

We were a hen party group and did the cocktail making with Tom. It was a fab experience and such a laugh. Kind and patient and took all ghe banter so well.

Me and 5 friends booked bottomless brunch here, would not recommend. Service was painfully slow, the waitress didn’t come over to the table once in the two hours we was there we kept having to go and get her to come and take our order which when we finally got her it seemed like a chore for her. With the service being as bad as it was it made the brunch not worth our money.

We have had a bottomless brunch today and Emily Rogers has been absolutely INCREDIBLE- Slug and Lettuce are lucky to have her on staff!! Professional, friendly, approachable and down right amazing - we will be looking to book her specifically in future!!

I visited slug and lettuce on 24/8/23 in Manchester, they were launching a new menu the next day so we were able to taste a selected dish by a lucky dip for FREE.. which was amazing food. Jake who served us was very patient letting us do the lucky dip until we found something we liked, steak & chips.. crispy chicken strips with salad & noodles , were perfect.

Our server Ellie was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere was loud but very enjoyable. Ellie was completely on the ball and the food was perfect. 10/10 would recommend. Will definitely be back again ❤️

Don't bother booking if more than 4 in your party and you don't take I'D with you. What a waste of time. When covid is over I won't be coming back here any time, you deserve to lose your business. Thank you for your reply, We ( Me, my partner and two daughters, plus one boyfriend) we did enjoy food and drinks at other locations in Manchester. But please tell me how can all the other pubs and restaurants in Manchester allow a party of five from ONE household but you can't/wont. My daughters boyfriend has been living with us since the start, how would he prove to you where he is staying? (All his details are in his parents' address). Why not tell customers that when they book they will need to provide evidence for all in the party? Plus being told by a member of your staff that we may of doctored the documents was very insulting and offensive.

Busy bar with the 2 for 1 cocktails leading to slow service. Drinks generally slightly more expensive than nearby unless you want the cocktails.

2 for 1 cocktails only if you order the same drink, they dont like you to experiment.

Avoid if booked with people from other households. Payed a deposit and got turned away because we couldn’t confirm we was from the same household when my boyfriend got quizzed on what our address was. I would understand if Manchester council was strict on the one household rule but we went to plenty of other bars afterwards around deansgate and got in straight away without being questioned. The woman on the front desk was also very rude about it and there was no warning before booking that we needed to be from one household. It’s no wonder slug and lettuce was so quiet on a Saturday night... more fool them.

I reserved a table for 2 online and the process was really easy as you had a specific time slot and was confirmed fast. We ordered food as part of eat out to help out and the portions and quality of meals were ace, I got the vegan burger and it was so realistic, and the fish that was ordered was such a good portion. The staff were really helpful and the host was really informative. Thanks for a great night :)

Went on a Friday night... Did seem to take a while to get served sometimes ignored. We made the most of it and had a good time. Gents toilet cubicles need attending to. Broken lock on one door, no toilet paper in the next one and the other the toilet seat doesn't stay up lol so that was a fun visit to the loos. Wouldn't have a problem drinking here again.

Very slow being served, wasn't especially busy. Both the meals were brought out wrong however the staff were polite and apologetic. Food was nice though.

Imogen was an absolute dream one of the best servers I have ever had. So attentive and really took us having fun seriously. She went out of her way to get us a table and we didn’t want for nothing and I will be coming back to the slug for the service we had. We come from London and doubt we will get such good service there.

Went in for a few drinks with a friend and I can't praise Emily highly enough , she was so obliging and friendly. She gave me some really good advice when I needed some help with ordering rum , nothing was too much trouble . Our drinks were served really quickly , great service with a smile . We'll definitely be back !

I nipped in here after work one night for a bite to eat and it was a top scran! The lovely Emily served us and it was service with a smile throughout the night. She whipped them plates away faster than in the all you can eat buffet and no sooner was the table clear, she had the drinks there to fill the space. Great night (I think)

Visiting with my husband from North Devon and decided to go for a bottomless brunch. Had amazing time and was really surprised by the service. Imogen who served us was so friendly and attentive. She had a ready smile, wonderful sense of humour and really made us feel welcome. Big thank you again Imogen for drink recommendations because they tasted great! If I could give more than 5 stars for the service I would. Next time we are this way we will be visiting again for sure.
