Small, rustic, cosy Irish style bar between fallowfield and didsbury on busy thoroughfare. Very old school.. No real ale on but it does serve your standards. The Guinness was excellent by the way, I'd recommend it. Very laid back vibe popular with your old time crowd. Shows the horse racing on the telly, so popular with those wanting a flutter (there's a bookies nearby) cash only. Recommended to those wanting a throwback old school pub 🍻 🏇 👍 💷

Proper pub! Super old school inside. Traditional shall we say. It's a little rough and ready but that totally adds to the charm. Very friendly people , both staff and locals. Good beer good prices. Spot on.

Proper little irish pub. Staff are v friendly and fun and will hop onto the karaoke! Best pint of Guinness in Manchester. You're missing out if you don't visit.

Fantastic little bar. And little, it is! It's tiny inside about 8 tables and very small standing space. They had karaoke on which was fab! Definitely for the older generation as most of the people were over 50. Has a proper old English pub feel to it. Great service by the husband and wife team (forgot their names) Regulars were welcoming- no funny looks and no comments about us being from London, which was nice. Keep it up guys! Downside: closed at 1 Only coke zero on offer- no diet or original.

When I went it was empty so I can't say anything about the crowd and environment but I had a feeling it's a friendly place. Very small pub, old style, simple style and authentic. Nices prices too.

Was having fun as they had karaoke going even though old men were buying young girls drinks, super weird. As the night went on someone grabbed and slapped my friends butt, coming up to her being creepy and making crude comments at her etc. There were genuine nice people in there and could be a nice pub but they need to address the old men being creepy towards girls and buying young girls drinks situation up, it’s uncomfortable.

A traditional pub in the true sense no pretensions and here and no pomp and circumstance, the regulars are the salt of the earth. The beer is well kept you won't get a bad pint in here not in a month of Sundays. Great Staff, Great Beer, Great Locals, Fantastic little pub. Enjoy.

The table has a fantastically intricate marble pattern; oh how it glistens under the John smiths stick. My eyeballs singed by the bright fluorescent lights. I could stay here all night! The Manc accent reverberates around this depressing establishment. Altogether fantastic evening for a meet up with the old IRA lads, only feeling a slight headache from the copious John smiths and the psychiatric hospital style lighting.

I live in Hulme, years ago we had roughly 30pubs in our area. Now there are 0,so we had a run up to Withington. We called in a pub called the Albert, on entering we noticed it was quite small, just one room. There were about 6 people in there, it wasn't long before a few people started chatting to us. An hour or so later a few more customers came in, & they also started speaking to us. There was a really good atmosphere in the place, locals were asking us if we would call back there. We said YES, we certainly would, we left about 3 hours later, Planning on returning in the next couple of weeks.

10/10 pub great at serving multiple people at once gave us free baby Guinness ! Guiness is decent with a lovely creamy domage, far better than any other put in the area

Great place for a Guinness - the best in the area. Proper local pub with regulars, very inviting though and no problems. Only issue is the lighting - as fluro tubes which radiate a harsh unnatural brightness. Maybe a more dimmer arrangement would attract more ambience.

👍👍 I was craving curry during my stay in Manchester. And Google suggested this place to me. It's in the centre, almost 6 minutes away from my hotel. The interior design is very hip and it has a great vibe. The music that is being played is modern. The curry was amazing. And the prices were perfect for...
