A quick review, a pub I drank in from many many years ago and used to know very well! Following the total overhaul I was slightly apprehensive, the bowling green has now totally gone but the inside from what I could see has been changed keeping original features and rooms, the cask ale was on excellent form! Clientele on visit were all being checked at door so an indicator of market but extensive menu not tried and pub seems to have reinvented it's self!

Absolutely love it here, great location, absolutely massive beer garden and the food is amazing. The roast beef was the best I've had in a long time. Super friendly and patient staff

unlimited yorkies , bottomless gravy and a whole load of good scran. however i must admit ceris chicken pot pie wasn’t up to standards and now she’s scared of getting on her mega bus

Great and great staff. However, need to make sure limes and lemons are ordered as gin and tonic not the same. Furthermore, the doorman was completely devoid of social skills. I could do a better job at 10 stone wet.

Great food, service maybe a bit slow but there is an amazing garden beer so you won't mind waiting for a bit 🙂

Lovely pub. And friendly bar staff. The food was poor. All 4 different meals were very sad. Overcooked, dry , even a simple burger. Won't eat there again.

The pie was smaller than expected but tasty, salad pretty good. Desserts from frozen, a bit watery and not special at all. Might as well scrub all the sports reviewers on here as there's some ssn overview show at the front but nothing elsewhere seen even during listed big live match. Since refurb trying to be one of these gastropubs chasing the profit margins just like that, can't blame them really but frankly for that loads of other places are a lot better for that generally. They had a bit of a good niche and are now moving away from it.

Called in for lunch on way home, food was great value and very nice, plentiful portions. Well looked after by the staff & manager, tried the Manchester lager and can recommend. Decent pub and will return when in the area, thank you.

Went here for an 80th birthday celebration. Lovely buffet and staff were very obliging. Good room in the conservatory for party gatherings.

We went here as it was in the village mum 80 grew up in as a girl and she hadn't been for over 30 years It was very quiet but usual pub restaurant atmosphere staff polite and friendly. I also had my eldest boy 9 and toddler 22 months old only. Food was good but only complaint and it isn't a bad one is we had the Sunday roast dinner £15, but the beef was very thick cut about 2 large 6mm thick and kids had burgers and chips with "free ice cream" £9 each and drinks weren't too expensive I had pint of coke £2.50 mum had 1/2 larger shandy £3.25 kids had tap water free.

Fab pub. Little bit quiet on a Friday lunchtime but meant the service was exemplary. We forgot to order onion rings and they sorted them out in no time. Huge garden out the back for a sunny afternoon. Halloumi fries and onion rings to die for and their main burger 🤤🤤

Great atmosphere, pints are very reasonably priced. Nice beer garden in the summer, lots of indoor space in the winter very cost indoors. Lots of parking which is a bonus for Manchester pubs.

I was surprised to get table service here. I don't know why, just wasn't expecting it. Although my order was only a gammon steak, it was a good size & cooked well. The overall atmosphere was almost buzzing, which suited me well as I was there to talk to my Daughter.

Wonderful place very elegant, quiet music, beautiful ambience, indoor and outdoor spacious outdoor setting places, pet and kids friendly, the staff are very professional, it's always a good place to visit. I used to visit it each time I picked up my kid from St. Paul's school, is always surrounded by nice individuals.

Great large beer garden, dog friendly. Pub is modern and staff friendly. Food leaves a lot to be desired, shame! Would go again for drinks but probably not food

Staff were not very accommodating. Me and my friend were given beef burgers instead of veggie ones when I have never eaten meat and my friend is allergic to dairy, so found this quite disappointing. It was then a long wait for the correct meal, by then the rest of our group had finished. This would be an understandable mistake except no apologies were given and when asked for at least a free drink to compensate, we were rudely ignored (by who I assume was the manager). Shame because the pub garden is lovely but I won’t be returning.

Staff were slacking , no cutlery , no introduction. Was left very confused when we first walked in. The roast was bad , the Yorkshire puddings tasted like pure oil , and the meat was extremely dry. Do not recommend this pub for a roast especially not for the price

Great food! Friendly staff. My only criticism is that they sometimes serve food on planks of wood when a plate would be (IS ALWAYS!) more appropriate. Come on guys there's no need for this - it adds nothing to the food but definitely takes away from the dining experience! Plates naturally have a lipped edge that catches sauces and stops chips from rolling onto the table. PLEASE PRESENT FOOD ON PLATES!

We've only visited during the day time for meals, but the food quality and choice is a vast improvement and better than many other chain pubs.

Fantastic service, great food and comfortable surroundings. Easy parking. Only down side low beams in main entrance bit dangerous for tall people with learning disabilities. Needs to be sign posted. Definitely would go again.

Took my mum today for her 80th birthday . We had a wonderful visit . Food was excellent . Sean and his team were brilliant nothing was to much trouble . My mum is in a wheelchair and the staff were very accommodating getting the ramp out for us . She was made to feel very special and Sean came and took some family pictures for us . Will defo come again 😁

A large, dog-friendly (in the outside seating areas) pub. The food was ok but quite pricey for what you got, and I think they have a reduced menu currently. The staff were friendly and helpful and they are well set-up for COVID. The back garden was very pleasant.

Ok pub but feels big and commercialised. Better in Summer due to beer garden but leaves a lot to be desired in the winter nights. Drinks are overpriced for location.

Went here for dinner with my daughters and families. Very nice staff, very friendly. I had the cheese pie could not fault it no complaints from any of our meals. Looking forward to returning on our next visit to them.

Had a very nice meal here. Looks like it's been refurbished since we were last there. Nice friendly service Reasonable price Would recommend a visit

First time inside in a long time but thought I would give it a go after the refurbishment and very nice it is. Staff are very friendly and the food is very nice too. Even better we could bring the dog into the bar area.

Beer garden has lots of space and was lovely in the sunshine! Food really good. Very good value especially for the children. Service very friendly and welcoming.

DELICIOUS! food was amazing, onion rings bigger than you head. The burger was genuinely the toasties burger I've ever had. Beer delicious and the outside space is huge and caters for all. Definitely going again.

👍👍 I was craving curry during my stay in Manchester. And Google suggested this place to me. It's in the centre, almost 6 minutes away from my hotel. The interior design is very hip and it has a great vibe. The music that is being played is modern. The curry was amazing. And the prices were perfect for...
