Partners disabled and was looked after really well. Good communication with Jordan.she came out 16 minutes early and took us in to avoid the rush etc. Venue is what you'd expect for a band venue. Toilets were clean. Bar has reasonable prices. Your up close to the stage and can get close to the bands.

20.04.2023 VOIVOD 40th Anniversary Tour. I was there in 2018 to see VOIVOD too. Cool place & fantastic service. Only the pillar on the left side of the stage should be removed. It separates the musicians and spoils the image of the whole scene 🤘

1st time at Rebellion. Definitely not my last Loved it , had a great time , the bands were great , the atmosphere was great and everyone enjoying it. The bar was well stocked with a surprisingly good selection of beers, ciders etc and the staff including the security guy had a good sense of humour. Everyone one friendly and easy going . Looking forward to future events.

One of my all time favourite venues. Especially since its updated. Love the new unisex bathrooms too, waaay better than what they used to have. Bands who go here are always super chill, great atmosphere

Very nice music venue! It's a tad on the small side but it's layed out in such a way that it feels much bigger than it actually is. Good selection of drinks and surprisingly strong sound considering the size.

Awesome venue if you want to get up close and personal to the band's. 2nd time I've been and both times have been amazing. The manager went out of his way to help myself and my daughter last night and were so thankful to him. Top bloke 👌will definitely be back soon.

Super impressed by this venue. Went to see a live act and was initially skeptical, having not heard of the place before. I step into what feels more like a club setup but the sound was great. All the acts were crystal clear. Enough space for a floor and standing room further away. Decent bar area as well. Will be looking out for more gigs here.

Such a cosy venue, the entrance was a little small (only wide enough for one person at a time) but otherwise was a lovely place. I saw MAN ON A MISSION play and oh my god it was sooooo fun. The bar and merch section was separated by a split level and they had a little projector showing the stage (wonderful idea) I wouldn't turn my nose up at the prospect of coming here again

Fantastic, intimate venue, that is local to deansgate station (literally a minutes walk... Sweeeet) and the bar is great. Good little beer garden and has a great atmosphere!

This spot never fails to deliver. They serve great food for convenient prices, there no long wait even when they are loaded.

  • 4/5 Vincent H. 5 years ago on Google
A very interesting and large venue with varied themed areas. A sports room, a cocktail room and the Bierkeller room where bands were rehearsing and having what appeared to be a jam session. Food and drink very reasonable, but place wasn't busy, and I think because of this it was very cold in there with the AC on low

  • 5/5 Mark S. 3 years ago on Google

Smelt like a toilet Watched first half of football and still didn't get served with a drink. Lovely security man outside Friendly polite and helpful.

  • 5/5 Zoe C. 4 years ago on Google
I came here with my friends on Saturday and we had an amazing time! The show in Bierkeller was so much fun as they get you up dancing on the tables. The bartenders and waitresses were so friendly and gave us some great drinks recommedations. We can't wait to come back! I will definitely be recommending this place to my friends visiting Manchester

Took the mrs here last night for a valentine's Motown night, and was very disappointed. The 3 course meal was a disgrace, the starter was tomato soup,I had 3 spoonfulls and it was gone.the live band stopped at 9 and they just played music till 10.For £50 a ticketI felt like I had been robbed,we had a much better time when we went into the main room and that was free.

  • 2/5 Ember N. 4 years ago on Google
The best area was not open which is the area with the benches in

  • 2/5 Martin F. 4 years ago on Google
It's not for me. I'm probably too old so ignore this review if you are under 40. TBH the ratio of staff to punters made me feel uncomfortable, it's like they expect trouble. Lots of very drunk people but it has to be said - having a good time. In one of the rooms everybody was inexplicably dancing on their bench seats and the music was so loud that within a minute I could feel inner ear damage. If the floors were walls you could definitely walk around like a fly. In the sports bar there are loads of pool tables and some shufl boards. Finally, apart from the drunk people it was most unlike the Bierkellers I have visited in Bavaria and Austria. I'd avoid it but if you are young you'll probably love it.

  • 4/5 Raj P. 4 years ago on Google
Not really my type of venue but that's more personal than anything wrong with this place. Staff were fantastic. My only criticism is that it was really hot in here :-)

Shot a gig here, great staff and fun venue :)

  • 5/5 Richard S. 5 years ago on Google
I have seen some great bands here. The venue is attracting bigger and bigger bands. The bar prices are good and it is an intimate venue that offers great views of the bands.

  • 5/5 David G. 5 years ago on Google
Great venue, these smaller venues really bring you face to face with the band

  • 4/5 Catharine H. 4 years ago on Google
A great place for new music talent 🤩🤘

  • 5/5 James M. 2 years ago on Google
Awesome venue for live music 🎶 watched the epic Scarlet and Smash into Pieces on 1st April

  • 4/5 Zoe G. 2 years ago on Google
Good venue space, bit of miscommunication which wasn't great.. we were waiting out in the rain for over 30 minutes, Google said open from 6pm,gig originally started open from 7pm. Bar is quite small for large crowds like London Calling, limited selection, but still something for everyone. Toilets are being renovated, mixed loos and urinals in same area, and had disabled access portaloo.

  • 4/5 Sara J. 2 years ago on Google
It's a great little venue, nice layout with stage area at the front, dedicated merch kiosk, comfortable seating area to the rear and a dedicated/enclosed outdoor space for smokers, staff are lovely, gigs are great. I can't comment on the beers cos I don't drink it, the cider is nice tho. Currently having issues through no fault of their own (Northern Rail did emergency works apparently and trashed their cellar and toilet areas) I don't like portaloos, but they're making the best of a bad situation and I'm personally very pleased that they haven't closed down as I've been to some brilliant gigs recently. Rebellion is a credit to the small music venue scene in Manchester, a proper gem. When the works are completed, it'll be back to 5* I'm sure.

  • 5/5 David C. 2 years ago on Google
Great small venue for bands. Selection of beers(could be better) bit enough. Had hobgoblin do I was a happy lad. Next door to Deansgate Station and parking nearby

  • 3/5 Jo D. 2 years ago on Google
Ok to see bands play, limited refreshments at the bar just had coke tasted dire undrinkable and not cheap. The toilet situation although not down to the venue needs to be urgently dealt with. Very nice staff.

  • 4/5 DKKW _. 2 years ago on Google
Great venue and great acoustics. Excellent visit for Morbidfest. Disappointment being that first band was on as doors were being opened, meaning c 75% of folk in queue didn't see them. Very poor planning.

  • 5/5 Carlos D. 1 year ago on Google
Visited the Rebellion for the King Buffalo gig, Lowdrive were the open act. Absolute banging band, we had an excellent night. All the staff were polite friendly and helpful. Great venue and highly recommended. We will be back!!!

  • 4/5 Daniel F. 1 year ago on Google
Playing there as a band - plenty of room for gear and to be out the way from general public, green room decent size it just doesn't the nicest of smell. Staff we're friendly and helpful! Sound way great and stage was a decent size

  • 5/5 B L. 1 year ago on Google
I came specially to Manchester from London to see "Imminence." Had the best night. Drinks were reasonable, venue was not too big and the atmosphere was amazing. Wanted to say a huge thank you to the security guard Anthony. He was so friendly and helpful and a top man.

  • 5/5 Sarah J. 1 year ago on Google
This venue is SO good! It has everyone you could possibly want and the atmosphere of a live show?? So awesome that I can't actually put it into words. Got a lovely beer garden too 😁

  • 5/5 Chris C. 1 year ago on Google
Saw Blind Channel and Lost Society at Rebellion and loved it!! Great crowd, great music and lovely staff. Recommended!!🤘

  • 4/5 Chris P. 1 year ago on Google
First time here for a Metal gig. Quite small but a great atmosphere for live bands. Great sound too. Had a couple of nice beers on too. I'll keep an eye out for future gigs even though it's a bit of a distance from home.

  • 4/5 Claire S. 1 year ago on Google
Went to see some metal bands. Smaller venue than I expected but adequate. The sound was great though and good viewing for the stage. Not convinced about the communal toilets though and the draft beer was to be avoided. But, a great night was had!

  • 5/5 Philip G. 1 year ago on Google
Place is like a tiny dungeon but it gives you a nice intimate night with the band. Said band was the Acacia strain who have been my favourite band for a very long time and I finally got to see them here!

  • 3/5 rafe 1 year ago on Google
I came from Newcastle to see my favourite band's performance and it was such a great gig. However the club itself was a disappointment, small venue, really hot inside, and the sound system quality was awful.

  • 5/5 Bram W. 1 year ago on Google
The best small venue in Manchester. This place has never disappointed. The atmosphere is great, the drinks are great, the staff are great, the gigs are great, you get the idea. I love it. It deserves your time.

  • 4/5 Glynn A. 8 months ago on Google
Great venue! Toilets are somewhat quirky! Some nice drinks on tap and around average price you'd expect to pay.

  • 4/5 Jay B. 11 months ago on Google
A fairly decent music venue. I came here to see Christian Death. Hope I’ll be back at some point

  • 4/5 Maggie Rock W. 7 months ago on Google
Great sound system. Don’t know if they’re renovating but it looked that way with chip board everywhere. Bartender was friendly and helpful and the bar has a good selection of beers and spirits. Q-park is just a few minutes walk away on First Street

  • 5/5 Robyn J. 6 months ago on Google
I've never in my life been to a venue for easy to navigate. Quick and easy to find the toilets, bar, and smoking area without being far from the show so you never feel like you'll miss too much by having to step away for a moment. Wish every venue could have those things - especially the toilets - so close to the show itself.

  • 5/5 Paul Duffy (. 6 months ago on Google
Great place to see a band but it’s bloody boiling sweaty mess when it’s a sell out. Drinks are a fair price for a venue.

  • 5/5 Joshua C. 5 months ago on Google
Went to see Deathstars, been 2 decades in the making but finally got to see them! Best experience this side of the decade surely!!
