Very good pub once part of long gone Threllfalls brewery. I used to work nearby on Cambridge St and had my leaving do here almost exactly 40 years ago. Lovely pub and very popular with students. Good pint of the house beer.

I ordered a drink from the app. It took a while for it to arrive, I even had to ask a member of staff where it was. The Steak and Ale pie was nice, it was a large portion, good value for money. Itโ€™s a nice pub with lots of pictures on the wall dedicated to local attractions around Manchester. Itโ€™s definitely worth a visit.

Great selection of beers and friendly staff. The pub has a great feel and the music is exactly to my taste, if your nearby definitely pop in

Did not have 2 things on the menu that I wanted and took ages to come out. Got the wrong drink at the bar! Very few people in for the England rugby used to be choca on a day like that years ago. The refurb look nice though

We went here as it was recommended on the Good Beer Guide App, with its amazing curb appeal and promise of independent Real Ales. Unfortunately this recommendation appears to be before it changed hands and became a Green King pub. There were three Real Ales on and we had the only one that wasn't Green King. Beer was fine, but not a pub I would return to as a Real Ale drinker. The atmosphere and staff were all fine so people who like other drinks may enjoy it more than we did

What a lovely, old style, yet up to date, pub. There's a great selection of beers and the staff a really friendly and are happy to chat about the beers on offer. The pub is in great condition with clean tables and toilets etc. There were also security staff on, when we visited, who were friendly and accommodating, which nicely sums up the Lass O'Gowrie. This may be my favourite pub in Manchester. Thank you ๐Ÿ‘

Initially went to have food and drink as we were going to watch a show at the nearby Theatre... Unfortunately for some reason no food available for another 2 weeks.. So only had a drink and left... Nice little pub though with a small beer garden to the side...

I enjoy the range of alcohol free options here, and the smoking area is fairly nice too when itโ€™s not too busy. Though it can be scary as itโ€™s a balcony over the bank of the River Medlock, and when it gets windy you can really feel it rock haha โ€ฆ itโ€™s one of my favourite places to visit in Manchester thatโ€™s near Oxford Road anyway

This is a beautiful building just outside of the city centre. I have been in the past and enjoyed it more. We went on the night of the quizz and as we weren't partaking that may have hampered my enjoyment, but it was too loud to talk and the staff seemed somewhat disinterested in serving. So it was ok, but not the experience I remember it being on my last visit several years ago.

The Lass hosted our works party and it was the perfect venue! The entire process from planning to delivering the event was overseen by the manager Josh who made sure it was stress free and exactly what we wanted. The evening was fantastic! Seamless service, great food and a team that are happy friendly and couldnโ€™t do more to welcome and look after us, they are an absolute credit! I canโ€™t thank Josh and his team enough for their hospitality and hosting such a fantastic evening! I would recommend this venue 100% and will be back!

Clearly a lovely pub at some point in its past. Sadly the chain has modified it. The bright lights and excessive tiling give it all the charm and charisma of a rich coupleโ€™s bathroom. You know the ones. Tarquin and Melissa, the solicitor couple that invite you over to dip bread in olive oil. Traditional pubs are a dying breed and this is another victim of that trend.

Great food that don't come out as warm as you want, but still taste great and good drinks. I got the fish & chips + the pretzel with beer cheese. If you go on the little patio, don't bounce your leg. It will shake everyone's table and no one will be happy.

Always enjoy a good pint of Guinness (including the zero) in here, and like to stop in regularly during the week for a pie and mash. Itโ€™s good value with the staff attentive.

Spent the evening with a large group, spread over several parts of the pub. Hats off to the staff for coping with the chaos that entailed. Always had a smile and a calm demeanor. Pie was a real pie and was satisfyingly filling. Wide range of beer options, had several different and were all good.

Stopped in here for a drink after staying at a hotel down the road. It was a trip down memory lane for my dad who used to frequent here when he was at uni in the mid 90s. We had a nice drink here, the decor and atmosphere was lovely. Few big screens up to watch sport as well. Good selection of beers and ales as well as gins and other spirits.

Used to enjoy visiting here years ago and *was* a charming, traditional Mancunian pub. Now owned by Greene King, it feels like just another chain sports bar and has lost all its character. Lack of real ales and staff seemed bored. Real shame, wouldnโ€™t recommend.

Visiting Manchester yet again for last date of The Lovely Eggs tour. We stay at the Princess St Ibis and the Lass is just around the corner and is now our local. It's a long standing establishment and has a great community feel to it. Good range of beers, does food (check times). The smoking area is a great meeting place. Best thing about the Lass is the staff - without exception, lovely people.

What a fantastic place, beautiful throughout. Lovely selection of drinks and the staff are second to none but the star and I mean the star of the place is the pies, I cannot write the words to do their food justice. Just get there, try it and let me know ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

This used to be an amazing pub with lots of character now it seems rather flat bar placement hasn't been thought out well the young lady behind the bar was friendly but they could have done with a few more members of bar staff.

Great place to shelter from the summer rain. Long time Camra pub with plenty of beer choice (obviously)!

Went in here the other day, compared to other greene kings this has been the best by far - the cleanliness and service was outstanding. Naomi served me and a few friends and was extremely friendly, cheerful yet professional. A real asset to the team

Great pub, old history with its own plaque. Outdoor area is awesome. Really interesting beers on draught and the quiz on a Thursday is so much fun with a great host! Starts at 8pm. Food sounded nice but we didn't eat this time.

Great pub tucked away off the main street. Loads of cask ales and beers on tap. Nice traditional feel to the place and staff were excellent. You can taste the ales before deciding which one.

The Lass O'Gowrie Lovely pub friendly staff, We fell on this pub by mistake and what a good mistake it was, first time it was buy one get one free which is very rare. Will defo be going back. Customer with the dog, advice is don't let your dog poo everywhere, this is why we left early.

The atmosphere of the pub was great, patrons friendly. The food was delicious and good sized portions at a very reasonable price. The bar staff were lovely in particular Naomi who went out of her way to get us a suitable table and was very personable. A credit to the business.

Popped in at lunchtime today for a drink and was impressed with this pub being a first time visitor. The homage to Manchester musicians is a great idea. The staff were very friendly and efficient

Tremendous historic Manchester public house now run by Greene King. The pub has a tremendous range of cask ales with good guest ales which sit alongside the Greene king stable beers. Well stocked bar the pub is quite long & thin but plenty of seating & also has an outside seating area. Several televisions strategically placed were showing football scores when I visited. Friendly staff & a welcoming atmosphere! Well worth finding!

Dog friendly. Great bar just off of the Canal Street area, really good tunes playing and a great selection of drinks. Small out door area too, something for everything. Will be back to try the pies and scotch eggs for sure.

Nice pub. Expensive but okay for Manchester. My Rosemary chips had no rosemary at all.

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ I was craving curry during my stay in Manchester. And Google suggested this place to me. It's in the centre, almost 6 minutes away from my hotel. The interior design is very hip and it has a great vibe. The music that is being played is modern. The curry was amazing. And the prices were perfect for...
