My favorite pub in all Manchester, and the perfect Venue to spend this Year's Saint George's Day!!! The Millstone has made me feel always (!) very welcome, since the very first day I stopped for a pint back in 2011. This is the England I love the most. Thank you, all.

Simply the best pub in Manchester. Every time we go in the friendly landlord comes over to say hello welcome and shakes our hand. Seat by the window open onto the carnival of characters outside is an event in itself . Highly recommended and if a lover of karaoke then most afternoons you can hear the regulars belting out tunes

I was referred to this place by a friend and it was exactly what i love, karaoke with the locals and old school music. The Karaoke host was amazing the crowd though a bit elderly were loving and friendly. Me being a backpacker i had a bag with me which i left next to the bar. The manager in 30 minutes asked me to carry my bag and move around, I couldn't believe what i just heard. I just took my backpack and walked off even though plan was to get drinks all evening. Horrible rude manager! but a great place, ade some good friends who I'm still in touch with.

Always have a great fun night here. Can be loud with people singing karaoke but it's all good fun. Nice atmosphere never a dull moment here. Definitely worth visiting when you're in town.

Another traditional old style pub done up sympathetically in a shabby chic style. I liked that they have kept some of the original features such as tiles, wooden floors, and brickwork. Surprisingly big with 3 floors, worth a visit if you're around that area.

Best pub in the Northern Quarter. Landlord is very welcoming and instantly you feel like a regular. Bar staff friendly and always remember your order. Love how the karaoke brings in the real and genuine people of Manchester together. Didn't have food, tbh, I didn't even know they did food?? I'm not sure they do? I would happily stay here all evening though, it's a class act pub.

This pub is amazing. Entertainment (karaoke) is so entertaining and the drinks are reasonably priced! We were being hassled by a chap who just wouldn't take no for an answer and the staff were excellent at dealing with the situation without causing a scene. My friend and I just love it here. A must visit when your in Manchester for a traditional pub 🍻

Best pub in Manchester in my opinion. Saturday night every night in here. A pub that women can go in on their own comfortably. Friendly bar staff and regulars. Just a fab atmosphere.

Great bar. Went here for a stagparty and everyone was super friendly, got free drinks and met some amazing people. You could do karaoke here or have some chill drinks. It was busy but not too busy, just the right amount to have a great evening. Would recommend everyone who loves pubs to come here at least once.

The bar was nice the stuff was great but it’s not for young people. Full of seniors I did not know any of the songs because they’re all very very old. If you like old Classics that’s your place if you were born in this generation just go somewhere else. Bartenders were amazing how fast but the place was kind of sticky all over

Monday night is generally quiet in Manchester but you are certain of a warm and friendly welcome in the Millstone. Went in there with hubby and my two adult children for a post meal drinkie and was met with a lovely atmosphere with karaoke thrown in. Drinks are standard and staff are efficient. Good night was had by all! 👍

Had a fantastic time on Saturday - the place bustling far before we got there (and we arrived around 4pm). Karaoke was a hit and the atmosphere was a proper local boozer, and the service was fast. I would highly recommend for anyone look for classic pub vibes.

This is a proper locals bar set in the trendy Northern Quarter. ( There is a housing estate tucked away behind.) First visited in the 1970's when this area was almost desolate. Very popular Karaoke on this Sunday afternoon. The regulars having a whale of a time. Martin Meerkat concentrated on his beer. A good pint of John Willy Lees bitter.

I have been in this place a few times over the years and it has never and will never change. But that's the charm. Proper traditional old school Manchester pub. A little bit grubby, but friendly as anything. Go in, don't be scared. They do a surprisingly good pint of San Miguel.

Just a great friendly, buzzing , traditional Manchester pub in the heart of the bustling Northern Quarter in Manchester Centre. Karaoke on Saturday afternoon and evening. Friendly vibe , great staff.

They don't make them like this place anymore! I've been here many times including first thing in the morning and last thing at night and it just never rests. It is literally a conveirbelt of people through the door of all ages but moreso an older clientele. It is essentially really only 2 rooms ( one smaller more private one at the back )and therefore often it is standing room only and becomes full to capacity. A warm friendly party type atmosphere is always on hand and the karaoke is legendary especially on a Sunday afternoon. The staff are terrific and if the landlord is there he will always shake you by the hand and welcome you to his pub. Most importantly the JW Lees ale is bang on and tremendous value. Added bonus if you can get by the open windows on a warm day to people watch.

Epicentre of Manchester. Karaoke, good selection of cask ale and keg. It's not a fancy place no, but what you will get is friendly people, great atmosphere and a no frills night out. Also keep your eye out for plum pudding cask at Christmas.

A nice little old school boozer. They do karaoke here which is always fun and on a Friday night you can't beat it. Multiple different sections of the pub are available to sit in - bar area gets really busy on a Friday and Saturday night, but that's expected.

I like this pub alot, reasonable beer prices, and good and awful people on the Karaoke, it's what life is all about, can't be good at everything but beer changes that haha

I want to have it off with this pub as it's the second best pub in Manchester but I recently learnt off the bar staff that all the regulars think I'm an undercover copper

  • 3/5 Chris C. 2 years ago on Google
Not really my kind of place. Karaoke definitely not my think. Beer was decent tho.

  • 4/5 Giovanni Maria R. 4 years ago on Google
Cheap, little and clean rooms on first floor of a pub which offers live music every night. However, music does not disturb and the folk offers a social entertainment always welcomed. Real British popular atmosphere and the music is high quality, either live music or karaoke. Good beer in the pub.

Came here for a random Saturday night drink to be greeted with karaoke and nice old chaps singing plus the usual hits, staff is nice enough and the pub really has good vibes and a decent pint of Guinness plus a lovely local Manchester pale ale

👍👍 I was craving curry during my stay in Manchester. And Google suggested this place to me. It's in the centre, almost 6 minutes away from my hotel. The interior design is very hip and it has a great vibe. The music that is being played is modern. The curry was amazing. And the prices were perfect for...
