Used to be a really lovely place, now needs some attention to cleanliness, service, and maintenance. All of the chairs in the dining area looked like this (material ripped, showing stuffing) not just one, all. Food arrives like a rocket-ship, almost immediately after you’ve ordered…obviously just warmed through, but not at just warmed through prices. Drinks either arrive quite some time after your food, or not at all. Really sad tbh, hope they can turn it around and make it an enjoyable, decent place to be again, used to be our family’s main get together spot…won’t go back again now for some time.

Looks great but tired. The girl behind the bar, in the extremely short skirt, needs to learn to smile and interact with customers not to be so sullen. Food arrived very quickly. That suggested that they are hot holding food even when they are quiet. Not a good practice . Food was tasty but not terribly hot. And the pink haired chef spent more time hanging around the bar than in the kitchen. But the worst thing of all was the member of staff who had his trousers halfway down his butt check. And kept showing us more than we wanted to see. Very unprofessional attitude. For an upmarket establishment. The one good thing was the bar man with the suit and tie who was helpful and professional. Maybe you could use him as an example to the rest of your staff. You should also accept cash, not just cards , we are not a cashless society yet.

Nice enough place, food and service leaves a lot to be desired. Overcooked beef for the Sunday roast and the fish and chips tasted of old oil (with clearly a lot of burned, floating detritus that had attached itself to the fish) with the mushy peas being a strange congealed lump. Staff are generally unhelpful and clearly not having a great time.

Rib-eye is bland and lean. Added Peppercorn sauce but got a cup of broken (overcook) butter only. Salted Margarita is unimpressive. (Very limited drinks menu. They don’t even do orange margarita.) They seem understaffed and very tired. Seats are stained. I won’t come back.

Amazing roast dinner and desserts, lost a star as the hosts didn't greet us and ignored us when we said goodbye to them as we're on their phones and chatting with manager, thankfully you have a friendly security who was acting as host in place of them and actually helped seat us. Food is superb and will be back for just that

Great service. We were welcomed at the door by super polite staff. Shown to table outside. Covid ordering was explained and service was fast. Sounds of the water outside, good views, clean environment, professional, knowledgeable staff, Great selection of food and drink. Great value for money will return

Great place to relax by the canal and people watch as well as trains 🚊 and planes ✈️ the place is spotless. The fish 🐟 finger brioche bun awesome 🤩 very quick service and plenty of choice on the menu depending on you appetite.

came for a Sunday roast, we both ordered the little beef dinner off the childrens menu for £7. The portion is huge and enough for adults, It's really good value for money and you get variety of veg. However the food was served cold. We complained and they replaced both our dishes, and it was warmer the second time but a much smaller portion (which is fair enough, it is for a child). Was still very tasty though ! It Would've been nice to have a check back to see if the food was okay/warmer, but they did say they were short staffed. The drinks came after the food, after having to chase them up as, and they didn't remove the ice as requested. Servers were polite though. The location is really pretty and as it was a quiet rainy Sunday, the atmosphere outside was a lot more chilled than usual.

The customer service is shocking. No one sat us down when we arrived even though we had a booking. They took ages to find someone to take our order. The food and drinks took ages and the cocktails did not have much alcohol in them. No one came to ask us if we were enjoying our meal or if we wanted anything else. For such a classy restaurant the menu is made from flimsy paper. We ordered chicken wings for starters and the amount of salt these lot put in them was mad. There is no toilet paper in the toilets.

Great place to come and sit outside in the sunshine. The outdoor space is huge and half covered by a canopy offering lots of shade. The setting is really nice also. The food portions are really good sized and tasty. They also have vegan options on the menu. The drinks were quite pricey but they did have a good selection and they do cocktails. The staff are friendly but not very attentive.

Nicely decorated restaurant with a good atmosphere. Food and drink is reasonably priced with a standard selection of sandwiches, burgers, pizzas etc. Service was attentive without being intrusive.

Simply a beautiful location to enjoy a drink or delicious bite. We always enjoy combining lunch here with a walk around Castlefield or a visit to the MOSI and Manchester library.

Damn fancy bar with a good selection of drinks and the location is fab ! It's IG worthy interiors surely make it a great place to hangout with friends.

So we had never been here before despite many a night out in the area. I visited with my wife and two friends and the ma was excellent. We went on a Saturday night just after payday; there was a wedding upstairs and a 40th downstairs and it was hammered. We had booked otherwise we would not have got it. We had a booth to the 4 of us and it was absolutely brilliant - not sure it would have been the same sat at a normal table. The reason I say that is because it was LOUD. Seriously, I'm 28 and still enjoy going to clubs but honestly it was louder than a lot of clubs I've been to recently. You genuinely couldn't have a conversation unless you were all huddled up and shouting. The strange thing I'd the volume would dip for about 30 seconds every few minutes and it was much more pleasant! The food was wonderful, especially the waffle dessert. The staff were very friendly too. It is not a cheap night out so if you're going have an expectation that you'll easily spend £50+ per person. Highly recommend

youll fit in here if youve had work done BUT seriously this is a very pretty restaurant/bar, great for sunny days by the canal! it does get busy and honestly i commend the staff for their patience with the influencer type customers w no social skills. the food was good!!!! cocktails were great and the floor staff deserve the WORLD

The drink was the only redeeming factor. I randomly ordered a kiwi cocktail alongside my usual gin drink and it was wonderful. Food was bland. Fondue fries, with tasteless cheese and even more tasteless gravy and crispy calamari with tasteless batter.

My friends and I had a table booked here for a special occasion - there were 14 of us. I had no preconceptions about the place as I’m not local and had never heard of it. My honest review is a negative one. Mainly because I’m not sure what the venue is (is it a bar? Is it a restaurant?) and, frankly, I’m not even sure they know. When I’m having a meal with friends I usually like to be able to hear them. The music was FAR too loud and there was a DJ playing. People were there just for cocktails, others were trying to shout their conversations over dinner like us. I just didn’t get it. The food was decidedly average. Whetherspoons could serve the same for half the price. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t horrible. I just wasn’t impressed. Finally, I’ve never had to queue for the toilet in a restaurant. My recommendation is not to go here.

Had a lovely night the service was amazing from the girl who served us, who I tipped. Music was very loud but atmosphere was nice. Food had good timing and was gorgeous. :)

Went for a team Christmas do. 17 of us. Really well organised, orders were sorted and delivered quickly. Food was excellent. And a lovely setting.

Great restaurant. Lovely food, though the main course portions were a bit on the small side. Fantastic drinks menu and lovely bar staff. There is the facility to order drinks from your table via your phone and a QR code, but it was quicker to go to the bar. Will definitely go back. My my biggest issue was there isn't light outside. The cobbles are uneven, and it was slippery due to the weather - I would have liked to be able to see where I was going better.

I've been visiting Dukes 92 since the early nineties and I have seen it change and develop over the years. Dukes 92 have always had great service and have had a wide range of food and drinks, these of course can be enjoyed outside right next to canal lock 92 of which the venue was named after. If I had one criticism it would be that back in the day dukes offered a fresh bread and cheese selection and unfortunately this is no longer available, sometimes your not looking for a full meal and just want a snack and this really hit the spot.

Good selection of beers and wines. Small selection of cocktails. Food menu has a number of different choices, however the app didn't match what was available in the restaurant I.e. the app said the hanging skewer was not available so I didn't order it but then i saw another customer later with one. Good service. The atmosphere is usually buzzing here on other visits which have been weekends, however as this was a quiet Monday afternoon it was a more chilled atmosphere than usual. Great venue for a sunny summers afternoon but you would definitely need to book in summer as this is everyone's go to place when the weather is nice.

A very enjoyable place, nicely decorated and great staff. Food was tasty but nothing special really. Just chips, sauce and a small stake (but was delicious). No salad at all. The place is good for drinks and catch ups with friends, but a main dining experience.

Beautiful. Warm welcome, inviting and inclusive to everyone. Decor is tasteful and outdoor seating is comfortable and warm with a cute view. Food and drink is worth paying that slight bit extra for. Service is quick and friendly. Recommend to everyone.

4 of us (3 adults and a child) came here on a Sunday, after the Manchester marathon. The atmosphere was very good, the food was nice and some great beers to sample. Staff were friendly but we did have to prompt a few times for a dessert menu and the bill. Would definitely return and sit outside when the sun was shining. A nice spot near Deansgate.

Nice atmosphere however no vegan options and very limited food options. There was a DJ that night playing music, definitely will come again.

If your looking for great food, amazing vibe and great prices, this is the place to go. Really great place. Well done to all the staff. The service is amazing and they are very quick. Using the mobile app to order and pay made life so easy. When I go to Manchester again will be going here for sure.

Somewhat pricey but delicious food par the mushy peas which was a just a solid block and the bread which may have spent a little bit longer than intended under the heater light. The dessert was quite large and very sweet! Lovely atmosphere and decorations

Great experience at this restaurant in Manchester. The interior is gorgeous, and the outside area is lovely too in the historic quays. There is outside seating, but it was unavailable at the time I visited due to bad weather. It was a relatively quiet night, but atmosphere was still inviting. We ordered a sharing pizza board and it was incredible. Service was great too. Love finding little gems like this one in the big cities, this is one I look forward to going back to.

Mum's 60th Birthday 🎂. My brother arranged this venue for my mums birthday. I was really impressed with the location, right on the canal tucked away in the city. The open plan bar and seating area that really set the scene with natural light. The food was amazing and being around family was awesome. We had a large group with us, I think about 12 adults and 9 kids. We were not pestered to get the orders in early. (This impressed me, as chefs normally are desperate to get large orders out as quickly as possible) When the food went out, the kids ate first, with Starters served to adults. The mains then followed, I have to recommend the steak. I had the chicken 🍔, was really something. Really great venue, would be great to come back again. Mum was very well looked after and I'm sure it won't be long before we're out again.

The outdoor seating area is amazing. There's always a great atmosphere there, drinks arrive quickly at the table. 4 stars instead of 5 because they had some issues with the table numbers and there was a bit of a mix-up when ordering through the app. Other than that, all good.

Food is lovely there. I would have loved it more if they have their own signature dish. Limited choices in the menu however food is delicious and the staff are absolutely welcoming, friendly and very nice. Enjoyed the experience. Outside seats are lovely too, bathrooms are clean and everything is spot on. You will definitely be happy and more than satisfied when you visit there. 😊
