πŸ‘πŸ‘ Can't think of another bar in the world where I would make a 160 miles round trip for a few beers and some great banter with a top landlord and great customers... Listening in on some of the stories of old Manchester and its characters has been an education .. Many thanks Phil for your hospitality,... People often mention great,

Can't think of another bar in the world where I would make a 160 miles round trip for a few beers and some great banter with a top landlord and great customers... Listening in on some of the stories of old Manchester and its characters has been an education .. Many thanks Phil for your hospitality, it's been a pleasure to patronise your great establishment, and makes me sad to think its one I will never experience again.. From this Cumbrian lad to an Ancoats lad I thank you once more...

Nice little bar. Reminds me of a places you would find abroad, not on Oldham Street in Manchester. It is very small, but cosy has a nice feel to it when you are in it. Decor is nice and clean and full of Northern Soul posters/flyers. Nice friendly welcome, music is on at a decent level that you can hold a conversation. Good prices too. Toilets were querky in the gents. Can't say I've ever seen one like it. If you are in the area then give it a try. We'll worth a visit.

Small but beautiful bar. A new favourite for me. Well worth a call when you're in the area.

Lovely, friendly pub with a really nice landlord. Great crowd. Really clean with interesting memorabilia. I know it's unusual to comment on the ladies but it was very clean, with great decor and effort- usually the w.c in pubs are an after thought. Would definitely return to this treasure.

It’s been a while since I’ve been in (before covid)but I still wanted to say how great this Mancunian boozer is. Both me and my wife love it. Love the Porter in here, reminds me of me nana and grandda. Absolutely spotless clean. Phil is a real gent and often knocked up a few little tasty snacks for a nibble with your pint, perfection πŸ‘Œ. The wife & her friends have been in a few times since lockdown ended and said it’s still fantastic. Look forward to having a Porter soon. Long Live The Ancoats Lad!

I love the atmosphere in this place and the drinks prices are excellent. Sitting on the street drinking beer and people watching is really great.

Fabulous experience. Great friendly owner and additional bar staff. A must visit if you are new to Manchester and a must visit if you haven't visited yet

The most friendly bar I've ever been to - a lovely gem to stumble across! Few people venture this far up Oldham street (as I hadn't) but it is well worth it. I only had time for one drink, but the lovely staff and customers who made us feel as though we were working into a welcoming group of friends ensure I'll return!

πŸ‘πŸ‘ I was craving curry during my stay in Manchester. And Google suggested this place to me. It's in the centre, almost 6 minutes away from my hotel. The interior design is very hip and it has a great vibe. The music that is being played is modern. The curry was amazing. And the prices were perfect for...
