iftar here yesterday and we all really enjoyed the meal :) the food came pretty quickly considering we were a large group, so thumbs up for that! there garlic naan were amazing, they were so fragrant from all the good garlics and butter. the naan goes well with the chicken tikka masala which was perfect, right amount of spices and creamy. the lamb biryani is so good, definitely generous with the meat and rice portion.

Decent Indian food. The seating area in the ground floor is not spacious but upstairs is much better. The staff are lovely and helpful. However prices are a bit above average. Limited parking on site.

Visited 29/07/2023, via a Google search there is a link to their site to book a table but as none for the evening I called via the number in listing a helpful gentleman took time of booking, how many table required and my first name. Parking in the area is limited so I parked a couple streets away and walked to the restaurant. When arrived downstairs level was busy, the helpful lady at the front desk asked if we were ok to sit in the 1st floor and we went up after the lady first checked capacity. The server was very polite and courteous and her and the gent who looked after our table ensured drinks order was taken quick and then starters and mains ordered, and the food came fairly quick which is great considering how busy the restaurant was and the food was fresh and tasty, my friends went for the spicy options, however I went for the butter chicken dish and that was flavoursome. With a starter, main and couple of drinks we spent average of £40 each which was a little pricey but worth going for and enjoyed as a first time visit for myself and repeat for my friends who had been before. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It's a nice little restaurant on Wilmslow road. The atmosphere is quite nice and the staff are very friendly. The food was cooked fast and tasted great. It tasted like standard Asian cooking, there was nothing special that would make me go back so the experience price was for the atmosphere and service. Not somewhere I would revisit but if you like fancy places and showing off, then this is the spot for you

Went for a birthday party - Saturday afternoon . Nice atmosphere and brilliant Indian food, satisfying the proper Indian palate with perfect touch of all spices. Enjoyed every bit of the all the dishes - would recommend the cheese corn starter and ghotala (veg)

Amazing taste really loved it. Since I moved to the UK, I was looking for the good Indian restaurant and this restaurant surely ticked that box after a while. We have tried chicken starters and Chicken Kolhapuri, Murgh Saffron Biryani and Naan. Everything was upto our expectations. Sai was friendly. This is surely one of the best Indian curry I had in the UK.

Good variety of Indian starters and mains. Staff is very efficient and service is quick. Food is a bit heavy and rich with lot of butter used in all currys.

First visit to Ziya yesterday. We had the butter chicken, lamb biriyani and some butter naans. All the food was great. The naans were soft and fluffy. The Service was excellent. Would recommend :) Would go back.

Fantastic restaurant, we strolled along the mile and thought to try Ziya Asian grill and can honestly say we ate the most vibrant, delicious food we have eaten in a very long time, the restaurant got busy, very quick and I can see why. Staff were so friendly and welcoming and the open kitchen looked immaculate, with a chef that gave us a hearty wave and a smile. We will definately return, don't skip starters as they were the stars of the show

Had some guests over and wanted Asian cuisine. We thought of giving Ziya a try. I have to say, it's authentic Asian cuisine. The spices, the consistency in taste and everything else was on point. We ordered a variety of dishes to try it out and I have to say this is THE place to visit if you want an authentic Asian taste. But do keep in mind it is a slightly pricey side of Asian restaurants, but it is totally worth it. Highly recommend it.

Food is good. Not much Mumbai starters other than Shabudana wada. Taste is ok. Naan and rice were nice. Gian fish curry was not upto mark but fish quanty was good. Butter chicken was good. Amritsari fish is breaded fish. Nothing like how it should be. Good ambience.

Our host for the night was fantastic. So friendly. Food was great. One of our party ordered a curry an it ended up being too hot, no questions asked they cooked her up another of the curry with less spice. Couldn't ask for better service.

I took my office colleagues for an evening meal and everyone loved the food. Portion sizes are quite generous and one portion is good for two people. Sadly, my lamb shank was not fresh and felt like it was microwaved before serving. However, the sauce withing lamb shank was good and tasty. Overall good experience.

Ziya restaurant offers a pleasant dining experience with its inviting ambiance and light music, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. The food quality is commendable, with dishes being flavorful and tasty. However, while the biryani may be delicious, its high price might deter some diners. Exploring other menu options could provide a more budget-friendly yet equally satisfying dining experience. The availability of clean washrooms adds to the overall comfort of guests. Overall, Ziya restaurant is a great choice for those seeking good Indian food and ambiance, with the suggestion to consider other dishes to balance value with taste.

Service was great, ample enough seating space, food tasted good, decently sized portions. Menu wasn't too overpriced. Parking wasn't an issue for us. Will definetly be visiting this place again next time i'm in the area.

Food was good, but naan could have been better and bigger. Had hydrabadi biryani and meat platter, did not disappoint. Good service even though, there was just one server when we went in. The lady who served us was lovely. She's an Asian lady with dark hair and red lipstick, we don't know her name. We stayed for about 1.30 or more and in the end they kept sending someone to ask everyone is ok to pressure us into leaving.

The food here was outstanding. We especially enjoyed the lamb chops and bhindi bhaji. The bhindi bhaji was by far the nicest we have ever tasted. Highly recommended

Great curry and loads of traditional options that you expect from a Rusholme curry house. We had the Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala and the Lamb Kolhapuri - all great and decent portion sizes. The papadum portion was disappointing, especially for the price. Service was great if a little rushed. Definitely recommend!

A nice and clean halal restaurant. The food was fresh, spicy but delicious. There were plenty of vegetarian options. I recommend the lamb karahi and the chicken tikka masala. We will be returning again soon.

The service at the restaurant was fabulous from start to finish. At the time of visiting the starters and mains had a buy one and get a second free offer. My wife and I ordered: (1) Trio of Chicken (starter) (2) Amritsari Fish (starter) (3) Bombay Butter Chicken (main curry) (4) Saag Lamb (main curry) (5) Pashweri Naan (sides) (6) Garlic Naan (sides) (7) Ziya Halwa Platter to share The best two dishes were (1) and (3). In (1) the Pistachio chicken was phenomenal. The curry (3) was creamy and aromatic with plenty of flavour. As non-drinkers we had mocktails: raspberry virgin mojito and a drink called Indian Summer made from pineapple and orange juices with a rose petal based syrup added with ice. Overall very happy and enjoyed the experience

By FAR the best Indian I've been too. I go every weekend and try a different restaurant and this easily beats them all. The place is spotless, the staff are lovely and there was a live singer on, and of course the food...was outstanding! Loved watching the chef make the naan breads in the clay oven. Absolutely incredible please. Spoke to the owner and passed on my thanks and will 100% be back!

We had gone for dinner on friday. We were disappointed with the quality and taste of the food. Did not feel like authentic Indian taste/flavor at all. The food was tasteless, unappetizing and not appealing. Veg Kohlapuri and Kadai paneer both were not up to the standard. Appeared as if it has been made using the curry paste jar from supermarket and using the frozen products. Even the chicken curries were same . Has the management or cook been changed recently ? The staffs were very courteous and smiling. We have been to this fabulous place before (pre pandemic)and the food used to be amazing, authentic taste and one of the best. We travelled for nearly an hour and were looking forward to the same experience but were completely disappointed. Will be very cautious before visiting again. Please improve your quality if you wish for your customer to return again.

I went to ziya yesterday with a few friends and it did not disappoint. The food was incredible, the naan was fresh and we weren’t kept waiting for long! The customer service was exceptional, especially from Sneha who made those gorgeous strawberry virgin mojitos and made sure we were comfortable during our time with them. Definitely will be coming back!

Hands down one of the best dining experiences ever. Dropped off daughter at University and had been looking for a great restaurant near-by. I could not have picked better, even if my lottery numbers had come up. The Food is authentic, beautiful spiced, elegant and just plain wow, even simple things like the chilli garlic naan was magnificent and then the best bit, the brilliant staff. The manager is a total credit to UK hospitality, engaging and real. He is worth his weight in gold right now. Thank you Ziya for an amazing meal. Thankfully my daughter is doing a four year course because we will be back time and time again. This puts London Indian restaurants in the shade. Bravo, simply stunning!

I have been in Ziya a few times before this one.The staff is very warm and welcoming, and the dinning area modern and nice. The food was a delight. The lamb jalfrezi (with pulau rice) was full of taste, with a rich combination of flavours and aromas. You could feel the delicate balance of herbs and spices cooked together with the rest of the ingredients. Also a good value for money. I will definitely come back again. A highly recommendable restaurant.

Authentic Indian food, I’d say the best in Manchester. Great live entertainment, staff are friendly and helpful. Drinks and food were both perfect. Fresh, flavourful and reasonably priced. A very enjoyable evening will definitely be back and highly recommend to try!

Absolutely fantastic and definitly has to be my favourite restaurant to come to in Manchester. Everything from the service to food to atmosphere was truly memorable. From entering the restaurant to leaving the service was immaculate everyone was so so friendly and very welcoming. There was live bollywood music being sang which made this whole experience I think 100 times better. The food I cannot recommend enough. We had the butter chicken, daal makhani and it was so delicious. The dessert was so unique, beetroot halwa ❤️ Definitly must visit.

Absolutely excellent. The host, Maz as well as the staff team and chef were really lovely and good fun, the food was great! Big portions, plenty enough for everyone in such a large booking of 80 people. Will definitely be returning again next year!

Best curry in Manchester. I am a big curry fan, have tried many (I'm quite fussy) and while I was in Manchester, Ziya's was always the most consistent of quality and taste. No dish is too onion or spice tasting (all too common). All have a great balance of taste & flavour. Can't wait to visit again, haven't been in a while. Worth the extra few pounds over other curry houses in Manchester. Would recommend to anyone!
