Amazing!!!!!! We will definitely be returning when back in Manchester our waiter was named Uddie. She was so warm and welcoming and couldn’t help us enough when choosing what delicious food to have from the menu. Recommend trying the local food selection, instead of going from the starters and mains section. Aesthetics we’re out of this world.

Truffle magic🥟 On my last reel on Instagram, I had dinner @australasia_mcr with my colleagues in Manchester. Among all the starters, I found the Tofu and Shiitake dumpling was good enough for a post. WHAT WE GOT 🦪Oyster 🍣Maki Roll - Tuna, pineapple, spring onion with sriracha 🍣Tempura Roll - Korean Chicken 🍱Mixed Sushi & Sashimi 🥑Tempura Avocado ⚪️Roast Scallops 🥟Tofu & Shiitake dumplings 🦐Garlic Spiced Prawns 🍆Roasted Aubergines 🐟Grilled Sea Bass Fillet For the cold dishes, Oyster was the best as it’s very fresh. However, the rolls were too tight just like making by machine and the tuna was not fresh😢 For the hot dishes, dumplings were the best. However, all the others were ok except the aubergines which were over roasted and the skins were burnt and hard😢 The dumplings were boiled with silky soft skin. The tofu and shiitake filling was tasty. The truffle added a extra level of richness and depth to a bite. This is the magic of truffle. See more reviews on Instagram @ccgyozalover🤗

One of the best restaurants I’ve been in Manchester. Very delicious food with good quality and very friendly staff. The place is underground! Very nice and clean. I highly recommend this restaurant. I have been two times, in the first time with my colleagues and the second one with family and friends.

Stunning interior, feels so calm and relaxing as soon as you go in. Staff are friendly and attentive. Tables are nicely spaced out. Not too into Sushi but lots more on the menu. Food was yum and dessert was great. Portions just felt a bit small for the price. Nice little treat as it’s fine dining, would come back for an occasion.

I've been many times but this recent trip was exceptional, food was amazing and the service from start to finish was perfect. Our waiter/server Chris was friendly, talkative and extremely helpful and accommodating. Can't wait to go again.

Modern Australian/Asian cuisine. Taster menu offers best way to try various dishes. Staff informative and helpful, cocktails a little expensive but worth it for a special occasion.

Sue and I not only had the best food and drink but we had the best time at Australasia. From start to finish we had amazing cocktails, the tapas was sensational and our host was Anna. She was hilarious, she had such a lovely way about her and her knowledge of all the food, what it goes with and how its cooked was incredible. She made the whole experience fantastic. We can't wait to come back and bring others to share a guaranteed great experience.

I went on a date with my gf for lunch on Friday, we got James as our waiter. He is very nice and welcoming. The squids that he recommended was so good. I would say it’s the best I ever try, Even I am a big fan of squid. Definitely recommend to all of you to go.

Hadn’t been to Australasia in a while. We were pleasantly greeted by Judah who give us a run down on the menu. Unfortunately, the only vegan big plate wasn’t available however the rest was. We decided to order lots of small plates and sides which were organised by Judah and brought out in ‘waves’ which meant we had a constant stream of good food! We were both very hungry and around 5 small plates and sides each was adequate to fill us both up perfectly (we can eat…) We were slightly worried that the small plates dishes wouldn’t be filling but we were pleasantly surprised. The service from Judah was excellent, I am glad our evening was in his hands. We eat out a couple of times a week and this has to be the best service we have experienced in a very long time. There was a slight hiccup with the coffees but running a bar and restaurant ourselves, we inferred that this was human error and no fault of Judah’s himself. That being said, we were in no rush and the coffees did arrive after some time so we were happy. Judah made sure of that. We had come here for a special celebratory occasion and it did not disappoint. I didn’t rate the edamame beans dish all that much however this came out first, and the rest of the food and service made up for it. I honestly feel that the experience would have been average without Judah. However he made sure we had a lovely evening so hats off for that, big thanks! Last time I came to Australasia it was slightly pretentious however this time they took a slightly more casual approach, which as a younger couple made me and my partner feel at ease and relaxed to enjoy the food and our drinks. Our wine was topped up without asking, same with the water. Judah was friendly, as was the other waiter who brought a wave of food and it was easy to have a laugh with the front of house staff. The food was excellent and I highly recommend the tempura avocado, shiitake dumplings and tempura popcorn which were my personal favourites! However they were all very tasty. Thanks to Judah for making sure we had a nice evening.

We visited for Mother’s Day and were blown away by the food and the service. Can highly recommend the Australasia 10 sharing menu which is all of the signature dishes but make sure you’re hungry as there is a lot of food! Our server Jasmine was an absolute pleasure to be around we loved her so much she made us feel so welcome. Was even gifted some lovely rituals Mother’s Day treats. Can’t wait to come back again soon. Thank you for having us!

Excellent restaurant on Manchester's Deansgate. Very tasty food served by friendly staff who are only too happy to walk you through a menu that can seem a bit confusing at first. Our first visit here and we are already planning our next one. We visited at 3pm on a Thursday and it was almost empty, but I imagine it gets very busy at peak times, so I'd recommend booking. Obligatory food photos attached...

First time trying here and came for my birthday it was amazing! The food was so delicious, we got small plates and shared, the staff and service was amazing, so friendly, told us about the menu and as it was my birthday have a complimentary happy birthday plate with a small macaroon on. The night we went there was also a live violinist, we absolutely loved it here from the food, service and atmosphere and would definitely come back, a must see if you come to Manchester!

Fantastic atmosphere. The seats are quite close together if there's two of you but the acoustics make it so you can't hear any of the other tables. Food really great and fresh, service is very attentive. Thoroughly recommended

Absolutely amazing food, we spent £92 for (3x small plates, x2 main dishes, x1 side of rice, x1 cocktail and x1 Pepsi. Cannot fault the service , the price is very well suited for what you get. Aesthetically it’s a beautiful place hidden underground in the heart of Manchester

Had a great evening here with a large group of colleagues. The restaurant was very accommodating of our large group (30 people) and we had a great evening here. The 4 course meal was a lot of fun and it was the perfect amount of food. I would absolutely recommend this place for dinner dates and corporate events.

The food here was absolutely delicious and so were the recommended wines. The service was a little slow and we ended up with our food arriving before our drinks hut overall we really enjoyed it.

Great service, very attentive staff, and great cocktails 🍹. I also appreciate the aesthetic of venue. However the food not great, didn’t meet our expectations. Unfortunately the mixed sushi and sashimi hadn’t ideal temperature, it was quite warm, and wasabi wasn’t fresh, looked like a fake cheap supermarket item. We were expecting some handmade wasabi. The beef tartar was good quality but too bland, not enough ingredients/ seasoning.

Absolutely stunning interiors. Australasia and sunset-very different vibes, equally gorgeous. We celebrated our daughter’s 18th bday. Our waiter was patient and chatty, thought our kids and us how to make and use chopstix for beginners. All staff were wonderful and the lady saved the day with the tealight candle… so creative! They set everything up beforehand. The baloons, flowers with glass inside for the gift, cute plate with “Happy 18th bday”. We had a very beautiful and memorable night in all good ways. Delicious food included ofcourse! Thank you very much for the effort and excellent customer service guys. Big thumbs up for you!

We was gifted a voucher by the Australasia team and this time we throughly enjoyed. Me & hubby had booked a Tuesday evening which I believe is always best when you want better food & service. The Ambiance was pleasant for a Tuesday evening - not to much hustle & bustle which was perfect for date night 🩷 Having not been able to eat sashimi and drink wine for the past 9 months during pregnancy, I was really looking forward to my favourite meal and it didn’t disappoint. The grade of sushi & sashimi was quality and the food presentation was excellent. We had a lovely waiter - Joseph, whom made our meal delightful and he was very attentive. We didn’t wait long for food to be served and even when we ordered extras, plates came quickly. Thank you 😊

Visited a couple of times now - it’s still a popular and smart looking place even after being open for the best part of 15 years. Good mix of sushi / sashimi, small plates and main courses. Portions aren’t huge (some are genuinely tiny like the beef) but the sushi platters are good value. Desserts are nice, portions are huge but very sweet. The prices aren’t crazy considering it’s still quite an upmarket place. Staff are generally pretty good.

The food is fantastic and the service was great. The pork belly was otherworldly. The food and drinks are a bit expensive but definitely worth it for a splurge.

Lovely place, very well decorated and they have created a really lovely vibe. Unfortunately had to wait an hour for our table, luckily there was a bar area to sit in, but this did mean we weren't eating till 10ish when our booking was at 8:30. Some complimentary drinks would have made this better. Food was amazing and our service (judah) was great and made up for the wait on table.

Absolutely wonderful place. Celebrated my birthday and they brought an extra happy birthday dessert! So special! Ordered the share dishes - £75 per person but worth every penny, food was amazing! Couldn’t fault anything, Daniel the waiter was lovely and couldn’t do more to help us! A lovely, wonderful 5 star experience!

Amazing sashimi, albeit a bit pricey and they add a 12.5% service charge . Service was a bit hit and miss. We ordered a bottle of wine and it took 15minutes before they told us it wasn't available, by which time, food had started to come out. You'll be asked if you want water when you arrive and then they'll charge you 4.50 plus service for it. There was a violinist playing, but it was too loud and ruined the atmosphere a bit.

First time visiting. Absolutely excellent food, well worth the price. Fantastic and attentive service too. My best dish was the pork belly curry, you've got to try it! Overall, very much recommended!

We went to Australasia for dinner, and decide to choose the Hanami Blossom Sharing menu. Our overall experience was great as the interior, the staff and the ambience was quite classy. The menu was fantastic- my actual favourite was the selection of sushi and specifically the sea bass nigiri which was a-m-a-z-i-n-g. The main was nice but I would have preferred if a different option was available for us to choose, rather than duck. I would definitely go back again as I loved the place and food 👌🏻

Service: I had been invisible for 25 mins after being seated. The waiter apologised for this. Food: Squid tempura-squid too tender and tasteless. Crust and sauce are good. Korean beef-dry and tasteless. Yellowfin tuna-baby size sashimi. Wasabi not spicy. Tofu shiitake dumplings-the best of all. Shiitake with a strong mushroom taste. What I appreciated most was the match with coriander. Surprisingly good. But the dish was overall a bit too salty.

It was out second time at Australasia and it did not disappoint again. It was amazing from start to finish. We went “local” with a few small dishes to share between us - it was marvellous: the sashimi, California rolls, beef, desserts, so good! And Jasmine, our server, was absolutely lovely and so helpful. Definitely 5 stars for you as well Jasmine ⭐️

The food was nice and the drinks were good too. Staff were also very pleasant. I think it is a bit overpriced compared to other Japanese style restaurants I’ve been to, also the portions are quite small.

Venue is beautiful with friendly staff. We had the set menu and they offered me a pescatarian option which wasn’t on the menu. The food was delicious. Mocktails were good too. Only call out is although the experience was generally enjoyable the food seemed to lag at times. We waited for 30 mins for desserts.

Great atmosphere! Now onto the negatives. We ordered a "birthday special" (they don't do cake) beforehand, but never received it. And yes I would have been happy to pay extra for it, as was discussed on the phone. Dropping a star for that The only way to get into this packed restaurant is by booking, and a £40 deposit is mandatory. When the bill comes, however, they conveniently forget to deduct it. Check before they scam you! Food was quite bland. Not sure why, seeing most reviews are positive, but we got sushi and a surf&turf and they were mediocre. Steak was tough. Dropping more stars for that. One thing I can recommend is the pork belly curry! £160 for two people. Won't be coming back.

👍👍 I was craving curry during my stay in Manchester. And Google suggested this place to me. It's in the centre, almost 6 minutes away from my hotel. The interior design is very hip and it has a great vibe. The music that is being played is modern. The curry was amazing. And the prices were perfect for...
