Simply divine! The service is good and they catered for non drinkers by mixing a mocktail of our choosing. Love the music and the atmosphere here. Oh and the food.....WOW! I had the garlic prawns and they were fresh and tasty!

Good quality food. Smallish tapas menu but does also have plenty of main dishes too. Great beer and wine selection, prices are reasonable for the city centre.

The food was "ok". My husband and I love tapas and were excited to try La Vina for the first time. We didn't have a booking and there was a bit of confusion before a table was found for us. We ordered 7 dishes between the two of us and when they arrived the only way to describe our reaction was "meh". Nothing tasted bad, everything was just "ok". Every dish was lukewarm at best. We wanted the chorizo and the prawns to be bubbling in little dishes full of garlic and flavour but they were just lukewarm plates: the meatballs were in a kind of mushroom gravy. All of it was just ok, just not what we'd expect from a tapas restaurant, and not a single dish made us say "wow!" Also the staff cleared our plates so quickly each time we finished we felt under pressure to leave asap, plus initially they gave us the bill for another table that was higher than our bill! Don't think we'll be back unfortunately.

Worst tapas we have ever had! Used to be great food . Must have changed hands last couple of years ? House wine was served from a box into a carafe! Chorizo did not resemble Chorizo more like two black puddings! Meatballs equally bad not in tomato sauce? The king prawns wasn't that bad but had better. All in all a disappointing night which was meant to be a celebration. Expensive too.! Needless to say we won't be returning anytime soon ☹️

I used to love this place but £13 for some overcooked mushrooms and scrambled eggs? The mushroom tasted like they were cooked for hours and I tasted no chorizo or prawns in the eggs. I'm not go in Ng there again and will divert all my friends. I cooked a more Spanish paella last night than the food here 😠

Good quality of food and service. Can try on it if money is not concerned. Food is a little bit over price, 12% service charges. $3x per person with no wine.(beer only)

Service was fine but the food was not great… ok on most dishes but basic dishes very disappointing - bravas sauce was watery and potatoes were not crispy, meatballs were not good quality. Everything was fine, table of 4, 12 dishes, cocktail each and a bottle of wine £200 bill but we were surprised/disappointed to see a 12.5% service fee after paying and tipping for, as previously stated, ‘fine’ service.

Great quick, friendly service on a busy Saturday evening Good food and desserts It was a little expensive for Tapas but probably on par with similar restaurants. Foot note, I don't like service charge. it's part of the cost of your business and can't be its a % of the cost of your food. I do choose to tip directly for good service and did but had the service charge taken off

Great food and drinks. Waited a long time for the food but waitresses offered a nice apology and were friendly throughout. I'm sure we'll be back soon.

Delicious food, well decorated environment and with a structure that recalls spanish architecture, I was there during the week with my friends and the restaurant was busy but unfortunately with only one waitress taking care of the whole restaurant, after 20 minutes we managed to order the food that it took an hour to arrive, the waitress offered us a wine as an apology which was a great apology but the service was quite slow not her fault, with only one staff the surrounding tables were dirty for a long time which left the atmosphere is not so nice, but at the end of the night the food was great, I will definitely come back and recommend it to my friends, except for those who have plans later as there may be delays.

Food ok, not as described on menu, I had the fish. No asparagus, sauce too thick for my taste but fish well cooked, potatoes crisp outside and fluffy inside

Food: I know Tapas well, have eaten great tapas in Spain and this is below adequate. Stale bread came with the prawns, the sauce it came in was OK though. The Calamares did not taste very fresh, nor did the batter which was very thin and not crispy (not hard to get right!). Patatas bravas were ok (you can’t go wrong with potatoes though). The chorizo portion was very small, with most of the plate being black pudding which was very disappointing! The lamb meatballs, well they were definitely lamb, but not fried which perhaps is the Spanish way? - but they looked grey and anaemic, amongst mushy carrots that reminded me of school dinners. Menu: the menu is outdated, as stated by the staff themselves - according to them the homemade lemonade, grape juice, or anything on the soft drink menu has not been available since they have been working there! Service: No problem here - the two waitresses were really friendly and attentive. Atmosphere: The interior of the restaurant is much more spacious and vibrant than their competitor next door.

A great place for a meal, quick and attentive service and lots of great wine and food options. We had 4 tapas which was surprisingly filling on its own, the chorizo was really good in a cider sauce. Also an amazing espresso martini here!

We Came last night 5th August 5.45pm seeing you was ranked 2nd in Manchester for tapas and reading reviews saying best tapas in town, we gave you a go for our anniversary meal. Sangria ( tastes like lemonade and not much else) Olives - straight from the jar in brine with some dry herbs on top, zero marinade. The Pan con Tomato again zero olive oil, no garlic and the tomatoes were tasteless no seasoning either. The Calamari small portion and the Paprika Ailoi ?????? Wow no garlic no paprika tasted like tomato ketchup, Mayo and lemon juice. We sent the Garilc prawns back as the bowl was half full of water ??? Garlic prawns cooked in water with a splash of oil a no garlic and pinch of flat leaf parsley… seriously who’s cooking this food they obviously ain’t Spanish!! The mussels were passable and my octopus was passable ( mediocre) we ordered a side of chargrilled tender stem Broccoli wasn’t tender stem nor charred it was swimming in the water it was warmed up in, overcooked warm broccoli swimming in the Bain Marie Water. The waiter who served us recommended to me this Red wine that was nice so I said I’d try a glass first so I had the glass then he asked “ was the wine nice ? “ I said yes thank you he then takes my glass never to return to ask if I’d like another drink ? The bottle or top up or anything else !! At that point I asked for the bill where they’d already put themselves a £10 service charge for 2 people.. We were so disappointed and the staff could tell they just kept avoiding us. New Menu or not that was one of the worse meals I’ve had out, it’s simple food that can be beautiful done by a barman with one stove behind the bar… Chef I’m sorry but go find another cuisine because you don’t understand or know Spain and Spanish food, and The servers who definitely were Spanish you should be embarrassed serving that rubbish.

I was visiting Manchester for a night out, I was with a close friend who took me to this lovely Spanish restaurant. Amazing features and decor. The food was amazing. I loved the house wine too. Definitely will be there again.

Met the master chef Artur and had an amazing tasting meal. The portions are very good and the taste of the food was absolutely spot on, no need for extra salt and pepper as everything was seasoned perfectly!

Good atmosphere but had a poor experience on Tuesday evening. Waited an hour for some very soggy calamari. We were just charged for drinks to be fair. Even still we had planned to have dinner and decided we’d go round the corner for pizza instead. Waitress was kind.

It was very quiet, staff were almost not there. We ordered a large starter platter to share. When it finally arrived, it was a scrap of warm bread with tinned tomatoes that were awful, barely any taste. The rest was just poor. Price has gone up massively since our previous visits. We didn't continue to order any mains! Will not be eating there again.

The food and service were great! Tapas option is really good, especially the pork belly! We were sat upstairs. It was a little "cold" in regards to the atmosphere

Have you ever been to a place that you really used to like and were disappointed? This is it for my wife and I. Staff were good and the service was good which is why we paid the default 12.5% service charge. Sadly the tapas were disappointing and we both thought it was the worst meal out for some time.

We had a brilliant time here. The food was great, the place lovely and the lady that looked after us was wonderful, she was very helpful and friendly. Couldn't have asked for better service.

Popped in with my wife on a grey Manchester afternoon. What a fantastic place! We had two different Sangrias and an ice cream to share. Everything was top-notch, including service and disabled access. Will definitely return to try their more substantial meals. Stay tuned!

Visited on a lively Saturday night, great atmosphere, and our waiter was both attentive and personable, a real star. Unfortunately the restaurant hadn't had a delivery so a number of things were off the menu or changed due to lack of ingredients, but there was still plenty to choose from. Food arrived without unnecessary delay, and it was delicious and well presented, especially the olives, hake, and jamon croquettes. Never felt rushed as you sometimes can in some places, and we all left well satisfied, and hoping to return in the future.

Fantastic food, really tasty and reasonably priced. I used to be a frequent visitor at the Liverpool restaurant and was very disappointed when it closed. This is different, but a similar ambience. If you like authentic Tapas pay this place a visit. Oh and the Sangria is fantastic

Nice tapas, we did eat early and the restaurant was getting busier as we left we didn't get an item we ordered and when this came on the bill the staff were quick to resolve it :)

Loud party music, lights up too high, no atmosphere. One good server but as soon as she finished her shift we seemed to be forgotten about even though there were three members of staff on the floor and only 5 tables seated. Food was pretty awful, came out worryingly quickly and was all only luke warm, clearly frozen and microwaved, pretty bland, octopus was £18 and was just one over cooked piece in a very bland sauce and mash, extremely over priced for what it is. The cannelloni tasted literally like dog food.

I would definitely go back to the restaurant for one torrezons con mojo dulce, it is amazing.

We dined early, our table was booked for 4:30pm so it was quite quiet when we arrived. There were 4 of us, so we picked a few dishes to have between us as well as some wine and sangria. Drinks wise, I don't think the jug of sangria really provides 1 litre. It's about 4 glasses, similar to a bottle of wine hence we had that next for the same price. The food itself tasted nice, I'm not local so my friends said other tapas restaurants do provide slightly larger portions. The main let down was the service. I believe they were having issues with a new till system, so a few staff members were stood at the back. A couple of times items we'd requested had been forgotten about and I don't like having to ask for my empty plates/glasses to be removed. We also had to ask for the bill twice and then get their attention to actually pay. Generally a good experience, the place itself is nice and the staff seem friendly. I just can't imagine what the service would be like if the restaurant was actually full.

Wasnt impressed with the starter it was made out as though the main Ingredient was goats cheese which in fact it was just a little crumble over , other than that the food was tasty

This used to be one of our Manchester favourites. Sadly not any more. The staff are lovely and very friendly, but to sit in a cold restaurant with no heating in January with your coat on is unacceptable. Menu is different , we much preferred a good variety of smaller dishes.

Went for lunch one Sunday. It was very quiet - only our table and one other was occupied. A member of our party has a shellfish allergy. The waiter requested allergies and endeavoured to ensure we were aware of what we could order. Unfortunately, they inforned us that they had a second fryer out of order which decreased the menu choice, as they used the working one for frying shellfish. I know it cannot be helped if equipment breaks, but as the menu choice was already small, that person had limited choice. The menu was also limited for the vegetarian among us. However, the food we did choose was nice. The downstairs toilet was absolutely freezing cold and was in need of a deep clean. The service was fine.

👍👍 I was craving curry during my stay in Manchester. And Google suggested this place to me. It's in the centre, almost 6 minutes away from my hotel. The interior design is very hip and it has a great vibe. The music that is being played is modern. The curry was amazing. And the prices were perfect for...
