Very poor service. We ordered 2 bbq tasting set. They forgot our meat. We had to wait about 20 minutes to get raw meat. We couldn't cook because the gas was empty. She said she will bring new one but she forgot. We had to wait another 10 minutes. We ordered one more bowl of rice because they provide only one bowl of rice for 2 set but they never came back. And they charged service charge for this poor service. Worst bbq place interior. The light above grill is red. I wasn't able to see if the meat are cooked or not because it seems all still raw. I had to use phone torch to check if cooked. Do not order marinated meat here. Marinated sauce get burnt very easy on grill. you will end up tasting burnt meat. I really don't understand why they provide only 1 bowl of rice for 2 bbq tasting set. They give you 2 soup, 2 sauce. But only 1 bowl of rice. For who is thinking to go this place. As a Korean, they don't do proper Korean food

Very disappointing experience! I never write reviews but my experience at this restaurant was not pleasant at all. I will try to be as fair as possible with the below comments on each dish that we ordered at the restaurant. Items ordered from the menu: For bbq: Number 86. Beef short ribs- £13.90 Number 87. Beef Rib eye- £12.90 Number 96. Spicy squid- £10.90 The short ribs were good but two thin slices for £13.90, personally I feel it was overpriced. The beef rib eye slices were frozen and when it was on the grill a lot of water drained out. The spicy squid- really?! Literally one piece of defrosted squid slabbed on with a spoonful of kimchi marinade. The sauce also caused the grill to burn the squid before it was even cooked evenly. Side dish: Kimichi (7 slices of cut cabbage)- £5.50 The kimchi had no taste apart from being spicy. It was not fermented yet. No tangy flavour or even saltiness. At Authentic Korean restaurants side dishes are usually complimentary but I still wouldn’t complain paying £5.50 for 7 slices of cut cabbage if it tasted like kimchi. Appetiser: Seafood pancake- £11.90 I will be fair and say this was good. I do recommend this dish. It was crispy and not oily. Rice dish: chicken kimchi fried rice- £11.90 As you can see from the picture the rice are like lumps. I have a feeling this was pre mixed with some spicy sauce and added a few pieces of kimchi and chicken then microwaved. The rice was lukewarm when it came out and from the taste you can tell it was not stir fried. Overall not good value for money. The service was really slow. It’s understandable as they only had one staff attending all tables. On top of the overpriced bill, service charge was added. I usually would pay for service charge however this is the first time I requested for it to be taken off the bill and the staff showed an unhappy face. If you really want authentic Korean food I would avoid this restaurant.

Pretends to be Korean food but even worst than all the chinese fast food such as chopstix etc. Talkin bout authentic but doesn't taste tiny bit as Korean at all. I don't know what kind of boss is it and possibly people with chinese heritage running the restaurant. The chefs are definitely not Korean and don't know how to make Korean cuisine at all. Surely not value for money with such taste and the portions. The spicy spare ribs ordered barely have meat with very very thick soggy flour and taste exactly the same as sweet and sour chinese dish. Also found there is hair in it as picture shown. The Korean oxtail soup is also doesn't taste beef at all but white pepper only, very poorly made with very very tiny and less portion of meat as shown. The meat from the oxtail is very bland taste like they been used and cooked already for some of other dishes before being put into the soup. Bibimbap the Korean stone bowl rice with no sesame oil....words can't express all of it... Very unsatisfied and unhappy meal, now I lost interest of trying the bbq... Food, rice are barely warm. No Korean side dishes served. This is the last time and won't recommend it to anyone. Not Korean at all, more the less it's some chinese scam pretending Korean. There are quite a few real "Authentic" Korean food restaurants out there which are better.

Please be advised that the menu is far more expensive than posted on their website. We were going to get the BBQ set meal, but they raised the price per person up 9£ when we got there, so we got BBQ items instead. Overall, great food and atmosphere. The attached images show their current menu as they really need to update their website to not deceive anymore customers.

I went as a solo diner, and even though it was busy, I was made to feel welcome. The food was really tasty and I'd definitely return. & on a side note: I accidentally left my purse at the restaurant, and when I went back the next day, it was returned to me as I'd left it. It's so nice that there's honest people left in the world.

The quality of the food is good, but the price makes everything down honestly. When I saw the price online, this Za Zang Myen Noodle was £8.90. But then I came to the restaurant, the price they put outside and in the menu was £9.90 for it. They did mentioned they were sorry for increasing the price, okay, I thought they increased it from £8.90 to £9.90. But NO. I paid £10.90 for a bowl of noodle, plus the service fee £1.10, and the total was £12. They should update their price again to avoid confusing us.

Face opposite to St Peter Square Metrolink. Very convenient located and easy to spot. A couple of choices for lunch set. The soup comes with the lunch set. Spinach needed extra order and was treated for two other side dishes. The beef rice set is kinda of Korean source taste. However, as lunch set, it was warm enough for the rice. It wasn’t the best in the city but still can give a trial.

£12 for each meal, very small portion, **& *that was all the noodles in the picture*** terrible service, have to repeat what we ordered with just the number but cannot say the dish name. Very oily dish. DO NOT COMR HERE, WASTE OF MONEY. the smoke is making me cough so much, felt like my chest has been congested.

Went here searching for Korean BBQ experience. The restaurant didn’t take bookings. The restaurant was busy and packed but I think that enhanced the experience. The varieties of kimchi were fun to eat but the meat was not enough for the price payed. Staff was very friendly, quick and seem to have a lot of experience. Service - 8/10 Environment- 6/10 Taste - 7/10

I really wanted soon tofu and came across this place as the other place I was going to was a bit too far of a walk. I had to wait about twenty minutes to be seated since I was alone and there wasn’t a lot of tables for small groups. I ordered fairly quickly and the staff asked if I wanted anything to drink to which I said just water (not sure if they charge extra for it). The soon tofu was quite small (I guess I’m used to BCD size) and was just okay. There were also no side dishes that came with it but the food came by fast. I also didn’t end up getting my water but just left. I didn’t realize that the restaurant has service charge (not sure if it was posted anywhere). Overall, I found the price that I paid not worth the food that I ate. I’d try to look for another Korean place to compare it

KBBQ - Weekday afternoon with 4 people. Food was delicious, the offering of side dishes were generous, definitely had no spare space on the table! Sat in a corner seat which was nice, however whenever the staff had to come and assist or when we were leaving, we had to pass other customers sat down rather closely, which I would of thought was inconvenient if that customer was me. This was made worse as they had to keep replacing our hot plate every time we had cooked a full plate of food. Our table was suprised by this as we werent offered the utensils to scrape/clean the burnt meats which is a common practice in other KBBQ places. Definitely on the pricey side, ordered the set meal for 2 for two pairs, and was treat after not going out for food for a long time. We were completely happy to pay the price going in, however, the portion sizes of certain things were varied, between lacking and very generous. Which meant, we needed an additional serving of lettuce, in previous KBBQ experiences (not here) we have never been charged for extra lettuce, especially not for £1.90 for about 7 leaves. Overall, it was a nice outing, however this place is more like a one off for KBBQ.

    1. The vegetarian options they claim on their menu is not really vegetarian, so be aware. 2. A dish of sprouts smaller than my fist is 4.5 pounds. Fyi in asia, this amount of cold dish is usually a free gift from the restaurant. The soup is the size of my fist and it’s 11 pounds. 3. The fried squid rice has six small pieces of squid as big as two peanuts in it. The squid is definitely quick frozen quality because they taste like rubber. The portion size is miserable to the extent that I wanna have another meal after it (I’m size 6 female btw). 4. The soup tastes nice and that’s why I give two stars instead of one.

Yet another great way to spend a night especially as a group or a fun date night. This is an easy meal for conversation and entertainment as you're always doing something and fun can be had with little to no effort. The staff helped us figure what to go for we went for the mixed platter so we got lots of different dishes to cook on the grill plus soup and pancake. We got some traditional Korean wine which was a nice choice. The meal itself was great and a fun experience. We both loved the marinated meats plus the spring onions. If you don't want to cook yourself you can order and they will sort it all out for you. So happy to finally go and will return once back in Manchester again.

Ban Di Bul is a Korean restaurant, which is located in St. Peter Square of Manchester City. It provides Korean style BBQ and authentic Korean cuisine. The price is a bit expensive and the portion of the dish is not big. Food is not bad.

Das war mein erstes mal beim Koreaner. Ich fand es super. Es war etwas eng für 5 Europäer aber es hat super geschmeckt. Wir hätten uns mehr Vielfalt beim Fleisch gewünscht.

Used to come here because they had good food. Went today and the experience was horrible - ordered the beef Bibimbap (Stone Pot Rice)…they had the audacity to not put any beef on it (had to remind them that). Miso soup was not fresh and definitely store bought. Also asked for some water which never came. Virtually zero service and rude staff but had the audacity to charge for a 10% service charge. Will be my last time here

The food taste really good but it’s really expensive. Some appetisers are more expensive than a main dish. We asked a waitress to give us takeaway box, after 15mins we had to ask a different waitress who finally gave us one. It’s really hard to get their attention when you need something.

Ordered seafood pancake and some marinated ribs and slice, the flavor profile was spot on, fantastic, authentic korean BBQ. Yet, the price was quite high at the end. However, still definitely coming back again

Be prepared to smell like the bbq when u leave the restaurant. No ventilation and the exhaust suction seem weak. Food was ok. Not as authentic. But definitely not a dating place.

Nice and good meal today. Besides my wife complain the meat a bit over salted, the food are delicious. The taster BBQ deal is enough for 2 man adults to eat very full.

One star rating is given because there is no zero star. Food tasted awful and service was substandard. Not a traditional Korean restaurant one would expect. No complimentary side dishes as normal Korean restaurants generously give as appetizers. Avoid if at all possible!

Korean BBQ very expensive, not worthy. Service wise, very poor, the waiters keep ignoring customers, they rather clean up tables than taking orders. As well as not letting people in even though there is empty table. And could taste dish washing liquid in some of the dishes

Lovely! Amazing service and delicious food for a reasonable price. Very quaint and cozy in here, with a big menu selection. The only issue is that I'd asked for a side dish that never came, and that the spicy food wasn't as spicy as I had hoped.

Wouldn't refer to this as authentic at all. Ban Chan's are overpriced and the bibimbap lacks flavor, super soggy rice. I'd give the service here less than one star, because one of my orders never arrived and despite inquiring about it 3 times, it was just nodded at and then ignored. This also wasn't during a busy time at all with only 4 people at the restaurant. Cutlery and plates were dirty. I'd rather go somewhere else where people treat customers with respect

Friendly service but the food is just so-so. Spicy tofu soup is bland despite its looks, fried chicken is uninspiring, seafood pancake was nice though.

Me and my vegan friend sat and enjoyed an amazing meal. I'm a vegetarian with a soya allergy, and the staff made sure everything was suitable for both of us. When the food arrived it was so good, we actually stopped talking for a moment, because we just really was loving everything about the meal. We especially enjoyed trying Wood Ear Mushrooms, and the staff translated what that was for us, so we knew. The atmosphere was really great, and it was a nice experience overall.

I enjoyed the food here. It was definitely not the best korean food I’ve had but it was above average for sure. I ordered some kimchi and bibimbap. The kimchi was delicious. Bibimbap was lacking some flavour and although the dish should arrive sizzling hot, my dish arrived lukewarm. The service was not very welcoming nor friendly or assisting.

We got seated near the window so I was facing the street outside, I liked that. We waited quite a long time for the food to arrive but it was worth the wait. The food was very good but the portion was a bit to small in my opinion. I got a vegetarian option!

NO Wi-Fi !!! Not authentic Korean BBQ, taste below average. But cost 70+£ which not deserved. Too much smoke inside. Too busy, 10+ min to clean and table.

👍👍 I was craving curry during my stay in Manchester. And Google suggested this place to me. It's in the centre, almost 6 minutes away from my hotel. The interior design is very hip and it has a great vibe. The music that is being played is modern. The curry was amazing. And the prices were perfect for...
