Perhaps the best Chinese restaurant in the UK. Although the foods were a bit too salty. Me & my family always come here whenever visiting Manchester city. The price is reasonable and customer service is beyond expectation!

HongKong style Yum-cha👍🏻 Ordered Roasted duck(half), it was a bit salty and dry. Plum sauce was nice. Nice staff speaks cantonese. Car park was so full even it was on weekday Remember to make a reservation

Delicious authentic Chinese food. A great variety of dim sum. Good service and NO 10% service charge. Beware of full car park in lunch time.

One of THE BEST restaurants to visit.... the food is amazing and BANQUET A is definitely recommended 🍵🥠🍤🍚🥣🍲 Always best to book in advance to make sure you're seated straight away as it is always busy and you can guarantee a wait if you haven't booked ✔️

You might miss out if you can’t speak or read Cantonese. Prior to coming, my bench mark for Yum cha was Jade City, in Manchester. While Xiao Long Bao were superior at Ocean Treasure, the variety of Dim Sum was easily matched, with no restrictions on ordering Cheeong Fun before 6 PM. The staff were hesitant in allowing me to order chicken feet and braised ox tendon, steering me back to the English menu and waited expectantly for me to order that staple at all fine Chinese restaurants in the U.K., not General Tso’s chicken, but chips and gravy. It never happened. The missing star was for the seafood. The Live Seafood Restaurant, Manchester is far superior. The clue is in the name.

I've been dining at this restaurant for over ten years and I've always enjoyed the food and experience. It's quite authentic Chinese food and atmosphere, with both an English and Chinese menu available. The staff are usually quite nice and always smiling, but sometimes are very busy. Downstairs they have a market, where you can get many Chinese ingredients which you can't find in Tesco. Overall I'd recommend this restaurant to people who are a little familiar with Chinese food and tradition.

The staffs are nice (in Cantonese). The food are tasty and specially for the Harbour style fried three treasures. (Fried soft crab, king prawns & oysters) After we ordered, we saw some other customers ordered it as well.

Not been here for a few years as I moved out of the area, I was not disappointed. The waitress that looked after our party of 6 was attentive and courteous, she even took some group photos of us. We had met up for lunch and all ordered the 3 course business lunch. We were seated around a large circular table with a lazy susan in the middle which made serving the food much simpler. The food was excellent and also good value for money. Definitely worth travelling just out of Manchester for. I will certainly be back again soon.

Went for lunch on Saturday. We had booked a table beforehand, which was good as it was quite busy. The staff were very friendly and took our orders for drinks and food very quickly. The food was excellent! Cannot fault the food or service and will certainly be coming back.

Overall Experience - highly recommend the roasted duck, Great place for dim sum 1. Siew mai - average 2. Har gao - thin skin, huge and fresh prawn 3. Raddish cake - soft inside and crispy outside, would be better if they mix in dried shrimp to fry together 4. Liu sha bao - bao is soft and fluffy, filling overcooked 5. Fried shrimp dumpling - standard 6. 3 roasted noodles - noodles are dry and crispy, roasted duck and char Siew are really mouth watering, highly recommended this dish, pork is tender, duck is juicy and has crispy skin 7. Service - friendly staff 8. Serving time - 25 mins 9. Affordability - a bit pricy 10. Atmosphere - clean

Tasty dim sum. Friendly staff. However, toilet condition needs more attention.

Traditional Chinese banquet halls are spacious and can accommodate a large number of diners simultaneously. Sunday mornings are traditionally the day when families gather at the banquet hall to have dim sum. We had made a reservation for 12:00 PM, but we arrived 15 minutes before the opening time and found a long queue of people at the entrance. Finally, we had to wait for 30 minutes before we could secure a seat. There were a wide variety of dim sum options, many of which were not found in other Chinese restaurants in the UK. These dim sum dishes brought back nostalgic memories for us. In addition to dim sum, we also ordered a platter of three different types of roasted meats, which were all delicious and worth recommending. Overall, the quality of the food was satisfying. The restaurant environment was a bit crowded, but this is common in typical Chinese restaurants.

Utterly disappointed with the service. It was recommended by a friend and the food was good. The roasted meats were authentic. However after an 80 minutes for food to be served anything will taste good. One member of staff in particular felt it was appropriate to tell me to call down when I said politely that if the food doesn't arrive within the next 2 minutes we would leave. I don't understand the excuse I was given either 'if you ordered the English food it would be here quicker". I have always thought that if I wanted to eat English I will go to a Chinese restaurant... not. There wasn't a lazy Suzie on the table and spent most of the meal uncomfortably pushing dishes across the big round table. Don't order the sweet and sour pork ribs and I can't recommend a dessert as we weren't in the mood to wait another potential 45 minutes for them to bring it. There are better places to eat.

We went to Ocean Treasure for my brother in laws 80th birthday. We had a booking for 12noon. Couldn't believe how busy it was...all tables were taken. We were looked after brilliantly, food came out piping hot, they guided us on how much to order...to avoid food waste. The birthday cake came out and everyone sang to Dave. As we were leaving, the staff that saw the birthday boy shook his hand. Absolutely beautiful lunch, thank you to all the staff for making it so special.

A nice Chinese restaurant but you need to get there before 12:00, a long queue always there. Nice dim sum with a variety of different choices.

Friendly staffs, wonderful food, good price. The taste and quality of the foods are even better many in Hong Kong. That's why they are very busy.

I was impressed by the restaurant‘s decoration (mainly Cantonese, HK style). You will find a wide range of dishes, not just seafood. I particularly like the soya source chicken and spring onion beef. Some other dishes especially seafood would taste better if the ingredients are fresher. Good experience overall and would recommend if you fancy authentic Chinese food.

The spicy beef was a bit overcooked. The fried rice noodles are a bit oily, but the taste is okay. Recommend the sweet and sour fried fish and rose sauce soy sauce chicken, not very outstanding, but unique. For Chinese restaurants in the UK, the portions are very good and value for money.

Dined tonight at the ocean treasure and cannot fault a single thing. Friendly staff, great food and service. A real gem.

A little bit disappointed. We booked the table and were the customer of the first time slot. The fried food were cold and chewy. The rice roll was way too thick. The roasted pork belly in the three roast rice was not crispy. It seems they were put in fried again before served. The rice was bloody wet that i could make a shushi ball. My point finger is longer then the topping on the phoenix claw pork rice. The rice was quite small with a soup spoon for scale. The deep fried oyster was the better one but I don't like it served with onion. The steam was trapped within the fried garlic sand and soften them. Think about dipping a chip in water. Some staff was a little bit rude. I can't see any reason to visit it again. However, the decoration and atmosphere were authentic enough to remind me how bad Hong Kong seafood restaurant was so I gave it 5 stars on Atmosphere.

Had tried two average quality Chinese dishes today for dinner. The pork chops with cantonese sauce dish, the pork chops had been processed to very soft texture, in fact wasn't alike real pork, though the sauce was good. The fried noodle dish, taste was okay and the noodle itself was crispy. Again, the pork was very soft. Overall, reasonable price and reasonable quality. Will visit again.

Ocean Treasure is a nice place to sit around a large table and eat great Chinese food, with an atmosphere to match. Prices were slightly above average but you get what you pay for, the quality is great.

The food is very tasty, fresh and authentic. The staffs are lovely & love the environment and vibe too. It’s always a treat to visit when I’m back in Manchester. It’s easily one of the best Chinese restaurants here. Highly recommend!

Whenever we crave for dim sum, we would take almost 6 miles journey to come and visit here. We've visited twice ever since the easing of the lockdown and not a single time has it failed to impress us. The staff has always been friendly, had never got any of our orders wrong and the food has been delicious and they're authentic HK style dim sum. Highly recommended especially if you drive as there's free parking and you could do grocery shopping at their downstairs supermarket Chi Yip afterwards

Best dim sum place in Manchester. Exactly the same dim sum taste as in Hong Kong.

👍 The food:  Had a weekend late veg breakfast.  It was tasty and the portions were generous. I'm not a big eater so I couldn't finish it as it had (almost) two of everything: sausages, eggs, hash browns, toast, beans, a veg fritter (black pudding alternative), half a tomato and mushrooms.
