Absolutely delicious. I had the chicken yakisoba and my bf had the chicken katsu curry. The chicken is just unbelievably good. So soft and tender yet crispy and well cooked through. Probably the best chicken I’ve ever had. Definitely come more often. The staff are very kind and the prices are very reasonable and not too expensive at all. I think for 2 dishes and 2 drinks we paid around £12 per person, which is very budget friendly. They have a conveyor belt with different sushi’s and sides and you can get a meal deal with 4 grey plates and a main plus drink for like £14. We were in the downstairs bit which is rather small but still enough room for a lot of people. Great place

This place is amazing, been here multiple times over the years and I always love the food- the restaurant and the dessert room are both great quality. The only reason for the 4* is because it can feel very cramped, there isn't much space to move at times. Wasabi is (rightfully) popular so it is often really busy. Thank you to the staff- they all work so hard to keep everything running smoothly, even during the busiest times. I have enjoyed every visit!

The £12.50 Set B menu in the evening is a great deal. A main meal and 3 plates of sushi. The portion is decent and quite filling. My OH and I went there on a date night. Friendly staff and it was very busy. They don't take bookings but luckily there were seats. Covid-safe with temperature check and hand sanitation at the entrance as well as shields between every two or four seats. We chose the ramen and I enjoyed it a lot. I'd say the quality matches up with the chain restaurant in Piccadilly Gardens but much more affordable. The sushi were nice too. Only pity was that we were too full to go upstairs for desserts but we'll come back for it next time.

This place could have easily been a 5 star however the one main thing letting it down was the available seating, the room was extremely cramped and difficult to maneuver and made it quite awkward with the other customers trying to eat. Nevertheless the service here was top standard the staff was extremely nice and helpful and there were constantly available so the service was quick even at peak times, the toilets were clean and safe to use with all locks working fine and also had a baby nappy changing facilities. The food quality for the price was good definitely worth a trip for a quick bite what ever the time, can easily get a good filling meal well worth the money. However if you were to consider going here for a date I would much recommend the other store of wasabi in the print works, much more space and much nicer and calmer atmosphere. The picture is of the Curry Udon pork belly with the tonkatsu broth as well as the extra chili oil!

Amazing food with friendly staff. Like you are in Japan eating real Japanese food. It affordable, too. There are no parking close by as it is located in town, but it worth the visit. Almost all ramen is not halal, as they are cooked with pork bones, yet you can enjoy the rest 😉

Incredible!!! The best ramen and sushi in Manchester. We wanted to try as much as possible so got starters, sushi, a rice bowl, and a ramen. Everything was delicious and couldn’t ask for any better. It was a lovely environment and was a nice alternative to most restaurants in the Manchester. Price was also reasonable. Highly recommend!

Lunch set menu great value for money. Ramen broth tastes good. All customers need to sanitize hands and check temperature at entry. Best safety measure I've seen in restaurants.

Good value sushi that taste good. Place is busy so you'll need to queue before you sit down, and especially since there's not much seating downstairs. I found they don't make much variety of sushi on the conveyor belt so there was sushi on the menu we wanted but they never put it out for us to eat since you don't order sushi you just grab what you want.

we’ve been here 10 times or more. we mostly come here for two items: the ebi tempura udon and the salmon chirashizushi (sometimes with tuna). the ebi tempura udon is consistently great, even though the taste of the broth slightly varies. would suggest skipping the spicy option as it changes the taste so much. the tempura are always perfectly crisp. the chirashizushi bowls are always topped with a nice portion of fresh sashimi, so it’s always very satisfying. they used to top it with lots of ikura (see old pic below), but now they’ve changed it to tobiko (small, flying fish roe) as can be seen on last pic. during peak hours, our longest waiting time for a table was around 20 mins. most of the time it takes 5-10 mins. food is always served quick, so props to the kitchen! the service here is always good. also, they accept card payments! and toilet is upstairs.

Nice little restaurant! Kind waitress, ok dishes and nice presentation. Time to hire more staff to get it moving. Their 2nd floor is the desert place.

Probably my go to Japanese spot now! Mind you I’ve not been in Manchester for very long. Anyways I had the £14 lunch meal. It is definitely worth a try, specially if you just want to give Japanese food a go. Affordable and tastes really good in my opinion. Loved the conveyor belt experience and the staff were lovely us. The place is abit small but I guess that is an experience in itself. Value for money - 10/10 Ambiance - 7/10 Service - 9/10

Best place for Sushi, Ramen, or a Veg Plator, in Manchester. All for £20+ This place makes me happy. A regular of mine. Next time I go, I will take a pic of the veg plator. It is so good! X

Delicious japanese food and amazing value. Get the set menu. Get a main and three dishes from the conveyor belt. I had sushi rolls which were yummy and a first rate pork ramen as my main. The place is popular so you may have to wait.

Great place to go on a date as the place in itself is a good ice breaker. You sit around the sushi carousel and pick whatever you like. You can order mains with the service staff and service is pretty fast while the number of staff could be more. Could see all the staff were stressed out hence the. Cash and cards are accepted. Good place to take children as well. No reservations are taken and it works first come first serve. The restaurant is no frills but the food is fantastic. Good choice of Asian beers and liquor are available

Worth it trying this Kaiten type of sushi service. You can opt to pay by the trays you consume, or you can opt for the combos that they offer, which I highly recommend. My wife had a combo A and my son and I opted by eating as we go… we ended up eating almost the same as my wife but paid 30 - 40% more.

It’s very delicious, the soup is pork so if you can’t have that you’ll have to change it, ask about which foods are halal and staff are happy to tell you, very helpful.

The food is amazing, I tried the ramen and some sushi and they are all good. However, the space is too small and we are struggling to get to the seat due to limited area. The price is acceptable comparing to the quality and portion of food. Would definitely revisit.

Fantastic for the price. I’ve been coming here for a while and every single time it’s been a positive experience. They have a good selection of small sushi plates, but you can also order from the main menu. Personally, I would highly recommend trying soft shell crab from the main menu and chicken salad with sesame dressing that’s a park of a bundle.

It’s really a good price to have a lunch in weekdays at the center of Manchester. The food at G floor are good and don’t forget to go upstairs to taste their dessert!

Visited the upstairs Desert restaurant, and was i glad we did! Fantastic range of Asian and Western deserts served by fantastic staff. Cant recommend the 'Brown Cheese' dessert enough, it is delicious. Will defiantly be returning to sample more of the menu

Fantastic sashimi and a large selection of Hong Kong style desserts. Prices are very reasonable, the sashimi rice bowl and dessert cost £8.25 and £4 respectively.

One of my favourite places to eat, the Tonkotsu ramen tastes amazing and the sushi tastes fresh. The staff here are always friendly and kind here.

Great place for sushi with the sushi belt. We went for my daughters birthday and she loved it although they did forget to bring her meal so I had to remind them. Place is a bit small and meals don't arrive together but would go again.

the food was SUPERB, surpassed our expectations for sushi on conveyor belt. raw items were fresh and cooked items done well! spicy ramen and chicken katsu were tasty as well(: we found places to eat based on google reviews, but boy are we glad we chose this over the other. the sets were well-priced as well, highly recommended

What a brilliant find this is - the warm, friendly atmosphere and communal dining give a real homely feel to the place. The grilled chicken tonkotsu was amazing!! Real umami flavour, filling and so so tasty. I went at lunch so got the lunch deal for £7.95 - such good value for the portion & flavours. I will definitely be coming back (often!) 🤤

Formerly Wasabi … always a goto place for lunch when in Manchester for last 15 years. Taken over recently but essential exactly the same! Off the belt starts £1.50 a dish and always plenty to choose … The seared salmon nigiri is lush! Fave!!! Great atmosphere, friendly staff but can sometimes be a queue but worth the wait!

If you love desserts, you must come try out this dessert place. There are many choices to choose from including crepes, waffles, ice creams and Chinese Sago desserts. All of them are delicious. You get served promptly by the friendly staff. Highly recommend.

We had to wait outside for about 20/25 minutes, but the queue moved quickly. We are glad we did wait. Once inside the service was fantastic and quick. Ramen was really good and a great selection of freshly prepared sushi. Some very valuable deals on offer. Would recommend

Value dishes - one ramen main and three plates of sushi for only £14.50 for a cheap lunch or dinner! The ramen broth was delicious, and in the end I was too full to eat the whole three plates of sushi offered. A little difficult to get service (e.g., to order drinks), but otherwise a great place. Queues are also likely at busy times, so be aware that the small interior of the restaurant gets pretty cramped.

Incredible food, super cheap and really nice staff. Can't really go wrong. Pictured is the tofu curry udon soup bowl which was soooo good. They asked me how spicy i wanted it and i went for medium and it was the perfect level of spice! We also had some sushi which was decent for the price. Will definitely be back! Thank you

Brown cheese croffle served alongside vanilla ice cream • Mango and Lychee shaved ice • Douhua I was extremely skeptical when my friend was adamant that the brown cheese croffle was the best dessert on the menu…and Ohmy, it was divine and I sincerely apologise to the croffle for doubting it The mango and lychee shaved ice was also delicious. Generous portions and served with fresh fruit. The perfect summer treat! Lychee was my personal favourite Douhua is one of my favourite desserts, unfortunately this one didn’t live up to my excitement. Not cold enough, the syrup lacked flavour and the tofu didn’t taste fresh. Overall, I would LOVE to visit again and try the pandan waffles

We enjoyed our visit here. Sushi tasted great and we enjoyed the pork ramen. Very busy and a little tight to get in. Had to queue for 20 mins. The sushi conveyer belt is a fun novelty for those interested.

I enjoyed the food and the concept of food served on a conveyor belt. Great prices, too. I liked very much the plum wine spritz 🍹

great dining experience with really good prices !! also fantastic for solo dining. cool revolving sushi bar too. i got the set menu (one main and three orange or grey sushi belt plates for £14.95), an extra plate, and two drinks, which was more than enough food, and came to just over £20! for the quantity and quality of food i got, i was extremely impressed. even though i went at peak times and or was quite busy, the servers were all really friendly and attentive. the food came out quickly and was all delicious. i didn't get any ramen or noodles but the people that did looked like they were really enjoying it. i will definitely be coming back here!

Good food with plenty choices, quick service, price is ok the only thing I didn't like was the tiny portion of ginger so had to ask again and again

  • 5/5 Dr. Solomon Saawan P. 7 months ago on Google
#RecommendedbySollyDj The tonkotsu flavour was exceptionally good. I asked the staff and apparently the tonkotsu soup is cooked over 36 hours. I applaud the quality and commitment. The sushi had various flavours and there are options to mix and match with a set menu. For a person trying it first time: Try Beef brisket tonkotsu Plum wine Ask for spicy and let the spice bit dissipate on its own lest you feel the kick of the spice. Go upstairs for desserts. Recommend: Pandan waffles and ice cream or shaved mango ice. Parking is on the streets. Paybyphone app must have on the phone in Manchester.

We visited after we found out yo sushi was about to close. I'm very glad they were closing because we found this place instead. The sushi was amazing and really generous portions. The tuna one in the picture was my absolute favourite. I just had stuff from the belt but my partner had a meal which he absolutely loved and it was huge! Price wise it is really good. It is only a small place and I was in the corner which was a little bit tight but there's not a lot that can be done about that so it's not a complaint just a heads up.

Ordered a teppanyaki beef donburi. It’s a rice dish topped with beef and teppanyaki sauce. The sauce was a bit too sweet and would have liked some addition of vegetables on this dish but overall it was good. The staff was also nice and welcoming.

👍👍 I was craving curry during my stay in Manchester. And Google suggested this place to me. It's in the centre, almost 6 minutes away from my hotel. The interior design is very hip and it has a great vibe. The music that is being played is modern. The curry was amazing. And the prices were perfect for...
