Ordered fish & chips with curry sauce and wasn't let down. The chips were light and fluffy, packed with flavour, and the fish was delicious - well worth the money. I didn't have to wait long either and the staff were happy and friendly. The price is fairly expensive for a chippy (in my opinion) but it's justified here, as the food is really nice! Will definitely be coming back!

Hot and crispy fish and chips satisfaction. Portion as shown on picture. Bigger than my spectacles. The gravy sauce is a must to order to go with the chips. Prices have changed since after covid-19. Check out my pictures. It's a small joint of about 10 seats only so be prepared to take away and enjoy it somewhere else.

An incredibly good city chippy. It ain't that far off from a coastal one. Clean oil and fresh tasting fish. Chips cooked with nice browning and batter light and crisp and tasty. Nice lunch portion too! Update 2022: Consistently great!

Honestly, the best fish and chips I've eaten in England. I loved the batter of the deep fried cod so much!

This has to be the best fish and chip shop in the city centre. Lovely staff and lovely owners. Mark always has a smile on his face and Trish always makes you feel welcome. The chips are lovely and the fish is to die for. The shop is very clean and well run and it’s always stocked up. It’s a must if you’re in the city centre. 😊

Beautiful real fish and chips in a very good location. There is limited seating inside so consider take away at busy times.

I would rate the fish and chips a good average, the women who served me was a little abrupt when I misheard her over salt and vinegar but it was just before closing time so she probably had a long day. Quite expensive, nearly £20 for 2 x fish chips peas carry out price considering the helping.

The fish was divine. Batter just right kind of crispy and not soaking in grease. Chips were also fluffy inside. Bit sad the tartare sauce were packet ones, I thought it would also be home made /more traditional but everything else was very tasty. Also the woman behind the counter/serving was so kind and lovely. I was visiting with a friend who was touristing Manchester for the first time and she even offered to take some photos of us outside the sign.

Top quality chip shop in Manchester! Everything is so delicious! I have been twice now and will continue to go every week! Wonderful staff who are always working hard. Very busy but that is to be expected because of how good it is.

the best chippy in manchester! the haddock is flavorful and not too greasy; the chips are hearty and soft just how i like them. the premises are modern and clean but not too hipster or pretentious. definitely check it out!

First time here and had a simple Cod & Chips. Fish was super fresh covered in a very light crispy batter. Nice chunky chips. All served beautifully hot. Staff very friendly. Shop was very clean with ledges and high seats to perch on of you want to eat in. Will def be back.

Fab city centre chippy. The lunch time meal deals are particularly good value. Fast service and somewhere to sit and eat makes for a perfect lunch spot.

If you’re looking for authentic Fish N Chips in the Manchester City Centre area then this is the place for you. Great food at a good price with excellent portions (the medium chips is good enough to feed 2) and the fish was perfectly cooked.

I take my wife, daughter and grandson to this chippy every week. You can't beat this chippy. The service is quick and efficient, the portions are a good size, the fish and crispy batter are second to none, nice freshly cooked chips. We all arrive starving and go home full and happy. I would recommend this chippy as the best I have ever been to. Keep up the good work.

Hands down the best chip shop in the city centre. The food is always good even during the busy lunch hour, and the price is pretty much what you'd expect from any chip shop in town (and I've been to most of them). The wait for food is fine and the place feels like a proper authentic chippy. I've eaten in and taken out. Half my office go now based on the smell of the fish and chips I bring in alone! My one regret is the pressure on my diet, but that's my fault and mine alone.

£9.60 for this about 10 chips and asked for just a little extra gravy which didnt mind paying a little extra and charged me for a large gravy. Absolutely ridiculous. Customer service also. Scandless worst chippy in north west

Fantastic freshly made food , and a fine example of what an authentic chippy should be like. Service was impeccable and a great atmosphere. Staff were friendly and attentive. We will definitely be calling back as my go to chippy in the centre of Manchester.

Visiting from the states, walking around seeing the sites and came across this little gem. By far the best fish & chips I have ever had ! Made to order with the perfect blend of vinegar and salt!

Great little traditional chippy in the heart of Manchester. Really decent chips!! Quick service, despite being really busy.

Came here for a quick bite on Manchester Day BH. Everything about this little chippy shop is authentic and traditional. The cod is fresh and crispy with the perfect coating of batter. The chips weren't as crispy enough and overall it was a bit oily for my liking. Nonethless, still worth a try for an authentic fish and chip chop. Would definitely give it a second go.

Amazing and Affordable. If you are looking for UK's Authentic Fish&chips, this is the place, it's low key nothing fancy but people over there are really nice and the quantity I got is worth what I paid for. I would strong recommend one to go to this pleasant place when you are around Manchester City center.

This is some of the best fish and chips I've had. The fish was flake and fresh. The batter was glorious. The staff seemed like they're having a bad day. Or they just didn't want to be there. Anyways the food speaks for itself. The chips could be better but they're good too. Also stick the fish. The pie wasn't eye opening.

Dining Experience @ Wright's Fish & Chips. . During my visit, I overhead compliments from customers such as "Best fish and chips I've had in Manchester" and "This place does really good food". Having dined at Wright's Fish & Chips, I'm glad I did. . Loved the Fish And Chips With Mushy Peas (GBP £8.20). I chose the haddock fish, which has a lovely light golden batter with tender flaky fish meat within. . The chips were nice and thick and fluffy, while the mushy marrowfat peas were creamy and bright. Added some salt and malt vinegar for enhanced flavour.

Order Cod Fish and Large fries to share. Fish serving is huge and the batter is good. The fish comes with ketchup / mayonnaise qnd 2 packets of tar tar sauce. Service is prompt. Come early due to limited seats.

The smell drew me :) could not resist ordering fish, chips and peas. Absolutely gorgeous, great portion size too. The fish was fresh and made to order, with proper "chippy chips". Really lovely place and would highly recommend. Friendly and the place is immaculate.

If you needed just one reason to visit Manchester, a trip to Wright's would suffice. I had Cod and Chips. The fish was delicious, the batter was crisp and not stuck to the fish and the chips were fluffy on the inside and crisp on the outside. All for a very reasonable fee. The staff were very polite and helpful. I shall be visiting again when I get the chance.

My friend and I shared a portion of fish bites. Although they were decent, The Hip Hop Chip Shop’s were far superior. I liked the Manchester quotes written on the chippy’s walls.

This is my ‘go to’ place for the best quality, freshly cooked to order fish and chips… their batter is out of this world! I’ve been coming here years whenever I am on my way into or out of town cos the food and service are absolutely top notch and great value for money too. Don’t just take my word for it - call in and give them a try - you really won’t be disappointed!

Great traditional fish & chip shop. I had cheese pie, chips, peas & gravy and I was in heaven. The chips were perfectly fried, crispy golden brown on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside. The peas were delicious, quite light, not heavy and stodgy and the gravy - lovely. Top class chippy in Central Manchester. Give it a try.

The fish and chips are Soo good they should be outlawed. Which is why i had to eat them in a rolled up newspaper!

This is an average chippy with above average prices and below average portions. Not a great mix. If its value for money you're looking for then looking elsewhere may be better

One of the good fish & chip. Fish is good, Chip is ok. price a little bit high, but fair. Size is big so, 2 ladies can order one set.

Was advised to go to this chippy from one of the City Host men (the people in the city centre who are dressed in black with red) We asked him if he knew of anywhere in the city centre you can get a good chips and gravy, we were directed to Wright's Fish and Chips. We were so glad because it tasted absolutely delicious and we will definitely be going back there again. I think the only qualm I had is im a wheelchair user and there is a very large step at the entrance (so it would be really good if they could get a wheelchair ramp as we had to sit outside to eat) But wow it was worth it. We even went back to the City host to thank him Will definitely be visiting again (weather dependent for now)

👍👍 I was craving curry during my stay in Manchester. And Google suggested this place to me. It's in the centre, almost 6 minutes away from my hotel. The interior design is very hip and it has a great vibe. The music that is being played is modern. The curry was amazing. And the prices were perfect for...
